Installation
Installation and conguration for Windows XP
• Start the computer and connect the IrDA adaptor.
• A dialogue box will appear stating that the computer has found new hardware.
• Installation occurs automatically (no extra drive routines need be installed).
• When the IrDA adaptor is installed it is found in Settings/
System/Hardware/Device Manager under Infrared Devices
as Sigma Tel USB-IrDA Dongle.
Conguration
Open the Control Panel and double click on Wireless connection to select your settings.
Choose your settings and click Apply and OK.
Aim the telephone’s* IR port toward the IrDA adaptor (distance max.1 metre), read the telephone’s manual for further assistance.
* PC, PDA, digital camera, scanner, printer etc.
When the infrared transmitter/receiver establishes contact with another device a message is displayed that contact is successful.
When you are connected the IR icon will be shown in the Taskbar.
Note:
If you remove a USB device without turning the computer off, click on the icon in the Taskbar before disconnecting it.
