Tips and advice
• Never run theblender empty (with anempty jug).
• If you intend to blend frozen ingredients, you must start theblender as soon as
they have been added, otherwise they might freeze together and jam theblades.
• Do not fill thejug with hot liquid alone as thepressure build-up can be too high.
• Never shake thejug whilst themotor is running. If ingredients get stuck on
thesides of thejug, turn off theblender and use aspatula or thelike. Do not start
theblender again until you have replaced thelid properly.
• Never blend ingredients that are hotter than 80°C.
Important considerations
• Use extra caution when blending hot liquids.
• Use theinterval mode (or use themanual mode and choose your own intervals)
when mixing solid ingredients or very thick liquids to prevent theblades from
becoming stuck.
Mixing solid foodstuffs into purée
• Cut theingredients into small pieces (2–3 cm), remove thecentre cap and add
afew pieces at atime. This is better than adding everything all at once.
• Always add alittle liquid to solid foodstuffs before starting to mix them.
Then remove thecentre cap and gradually add more liquid.
