Safety
Note:
• Do not start theappliance unless thetank is filled with water.
Never immerse awatch in thewater tank of theappliance, regardless of its water resistance rating.
• Read theinstructions below about cleaning wristwatch straps before using theappliance.
This appliance must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from physical or mental impairment. This appliance should not be used by anyone that has not read theinstruction manual unless they have been instructed in its use by someone who will take responsibility for their safety.
• Store theappliance out of children’s reach.
• Suffocation hazard! Keep all packaging material away from children.
Risk of electric shock! Never immerse theappliance or themains lead in water or other liquid.
• Risk of electric shock! Never touch theelectrical plug with wet hands, especially connecting/ disconnecting it to anelectrical socket.
• Risk of electric shock! If theappliance has fallen into water or other liquid during use, do not touch theappliance. Unplug theappliance from theelectrical socket immediately.
• Risk of electric shock! Never spray water or other liquid over theappliance.
• Never leave theappliance unattended during use.
• Do not use accessories which are not approved by themanufacturer.
• Grip theplug and pull it out of thesocket when disconnecting theappliance from themains. Do not pull on themains lead.
• Do not place themains lead where it can be damaged by hot surfaces, sharp edges or be crushed.
• Do not use theappliance if it or its mains lead is damaged in any way.
• Never attempt to disassemble theappliance.
• If theappliance is damaged, non-operational or has fallen into water or other liquid, it should be taken to aqualified service centre for repair.
2
• Always disconnect theappliance from thewall socket:
- if amalfunction occurs
- before cleaning
- if theappliance is not to be used for along time
- after each use
• Theelectrical socket to which theappliance is connected should be protected by anRCD with atripping current of 30 mA.
• Place theappliance on afirm, flat and level surface. Never operate theappliance on asoft, pliable surface such acushion or quilt.
• Fill the tank with water before plugging the appliance into an electrical socket. Never place your hands into the water when the appliance is switched on.

Items not suitable for ultrasonic cleaning
Soft jewellery such as pearls or jewellery made of:
• Emerald
• Ivory
• Coral
• Agate
• Sea shells Welded or plated metal items.
Glued items. Watches with lower water-
resistance ratings than
10 ATM/100 m.
These items are too soft and may scratch during cleaning.
Ultrasonic cleaning may enlarge any gaps inside thejoints. This can cause thejoints to fail and theitems to come apart.
• Remove thewatch strap from thewatch and wash thestrap in thebasket if thewatch has alower rating than 10 ATM/100 m.
• In order to be able to use theincluded watch stand which holds thewatch above thewater, thewatch casing must be water resistant to at least 10 ATM/100 m.
• Theultrasonic waves might cause water to penetrate thecasing of watches with lower water resistance despite them being held above thesurface of thewater.
• Never immerse awatch in thewater tank of theappliance, regardless of its water resistance rating.
• Make sure that theany buttons on thewatch are pushed in and that all theseals are in good condition before placing thewatch in theholder.

Operating instructions
Note: Continuous use will cause thewater temperature to rise. Do not use theappliance for
more than 20 minutes at atime. If theappliance is used continuously for 20 minutes, let it rest for 10 minutes before using it again.
1. Lift thelid, place theitems to be cleaned into thebasket (see that theitems are not touching one another) and then lower thebasket into thetank.
To clean awatch strap, lay thewatch on top of thewatch stand and slot thestrap into theslots on thestand. Thewatch casing will then be held above thewater when thetank is filled and only thestrap will be immersed.
Note:
• Remove thewatch strap from thewatch and wash thestrap in thebasket if thewatch has alower rating than 10 ATM/100 m.
• In order to be able to use theincluded watch stand which holds thewatch above thewater, thewatch casing must be water resistant to at least 10 ATM/100 m.
• Theultrasonic waves might cause water to penetrate thecasing of watches with lower water resistance despite them being held above thesurface of thewater.
• Never immerse awatch movement in thewater tank of theappliance, regardless of its water resistance rating.
• Make sure that theany buttons on thewatch are pushed in and that all theseals are in good condition before placing thewatch in theholder.
2. Up to 2 CDs/DVDs can be cleaned at thesame time by placing them on theincluded CD stand separated by thespacer.
3. Fill thetank with water, making sure that thewater level does not rise above themax mark. Afew drops of washing-up liquid can be added to thewater if necessary.

4. Close thelid and plug theappliance in to anelectrical socket. “180” will appear on thedisplay. This is thedefault cleaning setting. Press [ On/Off ] to switch theappliance on, or press [ Set ] to select another timer setting and then [ On/Off ] to switch theappliance on. Note: Theappliance will emit ahumming sound when it is switched on and maybe even alittle smoke. Thewater may become cloudy. This is completely normal.
5. Thecleaning process stops automatically when thetimer has counted down to zero. Thecleaning process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the [ On/Off ] button.
6. When you have finished cleaning theitems, unplug theappliance, open thelid and remove theitems.
7. Empty thetank by pouring thewater out in thedirection indicated by thearrow on therim. Dry theinside of thetank. Thetank should be cleaned and fresh water should be used each time.
Care and maintenance
• Always unplug theappliance from thepower point before cleaning it and when it is not in use.
• Clean theappliance by wiping it with adamp cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Theappliance should be stored in adry, dust-free environment out of thereach of children.
• Theappliance can be negatively affected by theelectromagnetic fields of other electronic equipment. This can cause theappliance to malfunction. If this happens, switch off thecause of theinterference, unplug theappliance and then plug it back in again. Theappliance should now function normally again.
