months from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
This guarantee is invalid if the product is found to have been abused or tampered
with in any way, or not used for the purpose for which it was intended.
Faulty goods should be returned to their place of purchase, no product can be
returned to us without prior permission.
This guarantee does not effect your statutory rights.
Thank you for purchasing this CLARKE Electronic Digital Safe, which
is designed for use in the home and office, as well as in boats and
caravans etc.
Operation
Open Safe
The entry code
(159)
is factory set. To open the safe, enter
159
on the numeric
keypad followed by button
B
, the green LED will illuminate and the knob can
be rotated clockwise to release the bolts. The door can now be opened.
NOTE:
each time a button is pressed an audible beep will sound and the amber
LED will illuminate.
Close Safe
To close the safe, simply close the door and rotate the knob anticlockwise, the
door locks automatically, test the lock by attempting to turn the knob clockwise.
Change Entry Code
To change the entry code, open the safe door. Press the red button (Fig. 2), the
amber LED will illuminate, enter the new code on the numeric key pad followed
by button
A,
a successful change will be confirmed by two audible beeps.
Three beeps means the new code has not been accepted, repeat procedure
again.
NOTE:
the entry code can be a maximum of eight digits.
Key Operation
In the event of battery or electronic failure, the safe can be opened using one
of the two keys supplied.
Carefully remove the override cover by prising open with a thin bladed knife or
similar, once removed the key lock is exposed. Fully insert the key and rotate

anticlockwise, now rotate the knob clockwise to open as before. The door can
be locked again by reversing the procedure.
Battery Replacement
To fit new batteries, open the safe, the battery compartment is found on the
back of the door. Slide the cover off in direction indicated, replace batteries
observing correct polarity, refit cover and test before closing door.
NOTE:
When the
Red
and
Amber
LEDs are both illuminated, this indicates that
the batteries need replacing.
IMPORTANT
Never leave the keys inside the safe
