The SPK1 Safety Pack consists of the following:

This product is guaranteed against faulty manufacture for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt which will be required as proof of purchase.
This guarantee is invalid if the product is found to have been abused or tampered with in any way, or not used for its intended purpose. Faulty goods should be returned to their place of purchase, no product can be returned to us without prior permission.
This guarantee does not effect your statutory rights.

THE EAR DEFENDERS
APPLICATION AND USE
Always ensure that the ear defenders are correctly fitted, adjusted and maintained.
Extend the headband and place the cups over the ears with the headband passing over the head. Settle into position while adjusting the height of the ear cups until comfortable with the headband providing support.
• The ear cushions should be a snug fit against the head.
Adjust the pressure on the head by bending of the headband and ensure an effective noise seal.
Wear the ear defenders throughout all periods of exposure to noise.

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Clean only with warm soapy water as this product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances such as organic solvents or alcohol.
Occasionally disinfect any part of the ear defenders in contact with the wearer if there are multiple users. Use a product not harmful to the wearer.
Ear defenders should be regularly inspected for condition as the protection afforded may eventually become impaired. The ear cushions may deteriorate with use and should be examined at frequent intervals for cracking.
In order to avoid the possibility of deterioration in the materials quality and performance, we suggest replacing the ear defenders after 2-3 years of regular use.
When not in use, it is recommended to store this product in a clean, dry polythene bag.

THE DUST MASK
APPLICATION
Before using the mask, check and confirm that the mask is suitable for the intend use, based on the following criteria.
Single use masks are classified according to one of three categories, FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3. Before preceding, please check the category to which the mask belongs as indicated either on the packaging or on the mask and confirm that it is suitable for the intended task.
• FFP1:- Protection against non-toxic solid and liquid aerosols (e.g. oil mists) in concentrations up to 4.5XMAC/OEL/TLV or 4xAPF.
• FFP2:-Protection against non-toxic and low to average toxicity solid and liquid aerosols in concentrations up to 12XMAC/OEL/TLV or 10XAPF.
• FFP3:-Protection against non-toxic and low to average toxicity and high toxicity solid and liquid aerosols (e.g. oil mists) in concentrations up to 50XMAC/OEL/TLV or 20XAPF.
MAC = Maximum Admissible Concentration
OEL = Occupational Exposure Limit
TLV = Threshold Limit Value
APF = Assigned Protection Factor
SAFETY WARNINGS
1. Failure to follow all instructions and limitations on the use of the mask could reduce its effectiveness with resultant health risks.
2. A correctly selected mask is essential to protect your heath and an occupational safety professional may be consulted to determine the suitability for your intended purpose.
3. This mask should only be used in adequately ventilated areas containing sufficient oxygen for the needs of the user.
4. Do not use when the concentration of contaminants are immediately dangerous to health and do not use in explosive atmospheres.
5. Leave the work are immediately and seek fresh air if breathing becomes difficult or if dizziness or other form of distress occurs.
6. Beards or other facial hair may reduce the effectiveness of the mask.
7. Never alter or modify this mask in any way.

8. Discard and replace this mask at the end of the working shift. This is a single use mask with no scope for maintenance.
9. Keep the mask stored in its packaging until ready for use.
10. Store and transport the mask in its original packaging and kept in cool dry environment until ready for use. Protect it against dust, chemicals, moisture, UV light or accidental damage.
11. The headstrap is made from a rubber material which could cause an allergic reaction in certain individuals. Discard the mask if irritation should occur.
12. Before using the mask always check for visible damage and any “Use by” date displayed. Damaged masks or any that are soiled on the inner side should not be used.
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Hold the mask in one hand with the nosepiece at your fingertips. Allow the headbands to hang freely below the hand.
2. Cup the mask firmly against your face with the nosepiece on the bridge of your nose.
3. Stretch and pull the lower headband over the head and position below the ears. Stretch and pull the top headband on the back of your head above your ears.
4. Press soft nosepiece to conform snuggly around the nose.
5. To test fit the mask, cup both hands over the respirator and exhale vigorously. If air flows around your nose, tighten the nosepiece. If air leaks around the edges, reposition the headband for a better fit.
6. Change the mask immediately if breathing becomes difficult or the mask becomes damaged or distorted or if a proper face fit cannot be maintained.
Careful observation of these instructions is important for safe use.

THE SAFETY GOGGLES
APPLICATION
These goggles are designed for eye protection against moderate impact hazards but are not unbreakable and do not provide unlimited eye protection. They are designed to protect the user against eye injuries through impact of flying particles or droplets.
The goggles have been designed for your personal safety and must be worn for the whole duration of exposure to hazards. You should leave the work area if dizziness or eye irritation occurs or if the goggles become damaged.
The goggles can be worn over normal spectacles and the strap can be adjusted for a secure, comfortable fit.
SAFETY WARNINGS
1. Do no modify or alter the goggles in any way.
2. Pitted or scratched lenses reduce vision, seriously reduce protection and should be replaced immediately.
3. Materials that come into contact with the skin can cause allergic reactions to certain susceptible individuals.
4. If in doubt, check with supervisory personnel to ensure you have the correct level of protection relative to working conditions. If necessary consult relevant European Standards.
CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
1. Do not use abrasive materials. Always clean with warm soapy water, rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Parts that come into contact with the users skin should be regularly disinfected.
2. It is recommended to store in a clean, dry polythene bag when not in use.
