INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing this CLARKE Fire Resistant Safe.
Before attempting to operate the safe, it is essential that you read this manual
thoroughly and carefully follow all instructions given. In doing so you can look
forward to the safe giving you long and satisfactory service.
GUARANTEE
This CLARKE product is guaranteed against faulty manufacture for a period of
12 months from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt as proof of
purchase.
This guarantee is invalid if the product is found to have been abused or
tampered with in any way, or not used for the purpose for which it was
intended.
Faulty goods should be returned to their place of purchase, no product can
be returned to us without prior permission.
This guarantee does not effect your statutory rights.
REPLACEMENT KEY
A small label is located on the front of each safe with a key number. The
number will contain several digits. This number must be registered with us in the
event you require a replacement key.
Please complete the registration form supplied and send it to the address
stated with the form. If you fail to register the safe we will not be able to
provide you with a replacement key.
We recommend that in addition to sending the completed form you remove
the label from the safe and fix it to the space below. Please retain this
document for future reference.

BEFORE USE
OPENING THE SAFE FOR THE FIRST TIME
1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Insert the override key into the key
hole and turn it counterclockwise,
at the same time, turn the door
knob counterclockwise to open
the safe.
IMPORTANT: Do not keep the
override keys in the safe.
INSTALLING THE BATTERIES
The safe requires 4 x size “AA” (1.5V) batteries (supplied).
1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Install the four batteries.
• Make sure that the polarity of
the batteries are correct.
• The electronic system will self-
test. If it is OK the display will
show 'good'.
3. Replace the battery cover.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
If the batteries are low, the red light (On the left of the knob) will light up.
1. To test the batteries, press the 'START' button.
• If the batteries are low, the display will show 'Lo-BAE', and you should
replace the batteries.

PROGRAMMING THE CODE
NOTE: The safe can be programmed with two codes. after opening the
safe and installing the batteries, you should programme two new
codes to replace the factory preset codes.
PROGRAMMING THE USER CODE (FACTORY-PRESET 0000)
1. Press the red button then release
it.
• The display will show 'SET CodE'.
2. Enter your new code (3 to 8
digits).
3. Press the 'START' button to confirm.
• The display will show 'IN' to
confirm the new code has
been saved.
PROGRAMMING THE MASTER CODE (FACTORY-PRESET 8888)
1. Press the red button once, then press the 'START' button once.
• The display will show 'oLd CodE'.
2. Input the original master code (factory-preset code: 8888)
3. Press the button 'START'.
• The display will show 'SET'.
4. Enter your new master code (3 to 8 digits) followed by the 'START' button.
• Now the display will show 'rE-InPUT'.
5. Now enter your new code again followed by the 'START' button.
• The display will show 'IN' and your inputting numbers. It means that new
master code is confirmed.

USING YOUR SAFE
TO OPEN THE SAFE
1. To open the door of the safe,
press the button 'START'.
• The display on the panel will
show “- - - - - - - -”.
2. Input one of the two codes (user
code / master code).
• The code is shown on the
display as it is entered.
• If you do not want the display
to show your codes as it is
being entered, just press the button 'START' a second time before you
enter the code.
3. Pressing the START' button.
• The green light will be come on
and the display will show
'OPEN'.
4. Open the door using the knob
within 6 seconds.
INCORRECT CODE
• If the codes are entered
incorrectly, the red light will
flash and the display will show 'Error'.
• If an incorrect combination code is entered 4 times in a row, the display
will show “Error” for approximately 3 minutes during this time another
code cannot be tried.
• The override key can still be used to open the door during this three
minutes period. If the key is used to open the door, the buzzer can be
cleared by pressing the red button.
MANUAL OVERRIDE
• For your convenience, we have engineered a manual override system
for your safe. If you forget your combination, use the override key
