SAFETY WARNINGS

For your own safety and that of others around you, please read and observe these safety instructions.
A warning label is attached to each stand and should be replaced if it is removed or damaged. A replacement label can be obtained from your Clarke dealer.
The following precautions are for guidance only. If you are in any doubt about the use of these stands, please contact the Clarke International Service Department for advice.
1. ALWAYS refer to the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions before raising the vehicle.
2. ALWAYS ensure the working area is safe, i.e. not on the highway etc.
3. Do not use the axle stands on uneven ground.
4. ALWAYS ensure the vehicle is securely chocked before use.
5. ALWAYS ensure, before laying underneath the vehicle, a responsible person is made aware in case of injury or accident.
6. ALWAYS ensure it is not possible under any circumstances, for the vehicle to move, before getting underneath the vehicle.
7. NEVER allow children or animals to play in or near the area.
8. NEVER leave the vehicle on axle stands where it could be considered a hazard to others.

9. Do not overload the stands.
10. Never use more than a single pair of stands.
11. Only use on a hard level surface e.g. concrete.
12. Securely chock wheels remaining on the ground.
13. Make sure that each stand is securely located under a strong point on the vehicle; consult the user’s handbook for guidance.
14. Lower the vehicle onto the stands slowly and gently.
15. Exercise extra care when using with a three wheeled vehicle or trailer.
16. Upper and lower columns are to be used only as a pair supplied.
17. It must be ensured that the vehicle/load is carefully located on the centre of the axle stand saddle. Failure to do this can result in damage to the axle stands, loss of support to the load, serious personal injury or loss of life.

ASSEMBLY

1. Slide the column into the base as shown.
• If required remove the bolt (2) in the base.
2. Slide the bolt into position and secure using the nut supplied.

USING THE AXLE STANDS

1. Remove the locking pin.
2. Adjust the height of the axle stand.
3. Replace the locking pin.

This guarantee is invalid if the product is found to have been abused or tampered with in any way, or not used for the purpose for which it was intended.
Faulty goods should be returned to their place of purchase, no product can be returned to us without prior permission.
This guarantee does not effect your statutory rights.
