CARE AND MAINTENANCE A build-up of moisture in the air
compressor will accelerate wear and corrosion in airline tools. Ensure
any moisture is drained from the compressor routinely and that the inlet
filter is kept clean. Condensate is collected in the polycarbonate bowl of
the mini air filter, and will eventually become visible. This will drain
automatically when the air supply is turned off. The external stem of the
drain valve is a 5mm hose-tail, where a hose can be fitted for collecting
the water. Never use solvents to clean the filter bowl. There are no user
serviceable parts on this product.

FITTING & MAINTENANCE
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing this CLARKE Air Filter. Before attempting to
use this product, please read this manual thoroughly and follow the
instructions carefully. In doing so you will ensure the safety of yourself
and that of others around you, and you can look forward to your
purchase giving you long and satisfactory service.
SPECIFICATION Max Pressure 90psi (6.2 bar)
Air inlet/Outlet Size ¼”BSP (female in/male out)
Air Consumption 17 cfm (8L/sec) @ max 90 psi
This in-line filter is built to operate in an environment which does not
exceed +60oC and the compressed air is not contaminated with solvents
to such an extent as to cause damage to polymer components.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES
Keep the work area clean and tidy.
Do not exceed the maximum pressure for the airline of 90 psi (6.2 bar).
Keep the work area clean and tidy.
Check air hoses for leaks or damage before use and ensure that all
connections are secure.
Always keep the in-line filter clean for the best and safest performance.
AIRLINE EQUIPMENT CONNECTION
WARNING: Compressed air can be dangerous. Ensure that you are
familiar with all precautions relating to the use of compressors and
compressed air equipment.
A typical airline layout is
shown here. The use of an
automatic in-line filter and
regulator will keep air tools in
good condition. Only clean,
dry, regulated compressed
air should be used.
Air compressors must comply with the appropriate European Community
Safety Directives.
Never exceed the maximum operating pressure for the airline
components. Higher pressures and dirty air will shorten the life of your air
tools due to faster wear. The air hose must be rated to at least 150% of
the maximum operating pressure of the air tool.
Important: the installation sequence for airline component assembly is:
FILTER – LUBRICATOR.
CONNECTING THE AIR FILTER Take care not to overtighten when
connecting the airline unions to the filter. The filter should be connected
to a fixed airline or be mounted on the outlet of the compressor.
An arrow, molded on the top of the filter, indicates the direction in which
the compressed air should flow. Ensure the compressor is turned off
when making connections. Turn on the air supply and check for air
leaks. Rectify any before starting work. PTFE tape may be useful for
sealing threaded connections.
