INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing this CLARKE 56.2 Litre Digital Safe.
Before attempting to operate the safe, it is essential that you read this manual
thoroughly and carefully follow all instructions given. In doing so you can look
forward to the safe giving you long and satisfactory service.
GUARANTEE
This CLARKE product is guaranteed against faulty manufacture for a period of
12 months from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt as proof of
purchase.
This guarantee is invalid if the product is found to have been abused or
tampered with in any way, or not used for the purpose for which it was
intended.
Faulty goods should be returned to their place of purchase, no product can
be returned to us without prior permission.
This guarantee does not effect your statutory rights.

REPLACEMENT OVERRIDE KEY
A key number has been carved into the face of the lock and the keys. This
number must be registered with us in the event you require a replacement
key.
Please complete the registration form at the back of this manual and send it
to the address stated with the form. If you fail to register the safe we will not be
able to provide you with a replacement key.

BEFORE USE
OPENING THE SAFE FOR THE FIRST TIME
1. Remove the small plastic cover (2)
on the front panel.
2. Insert the override key into the key
hole and turn it counterclockwise, at
the same time, turn the doorknob (1)
clockwise direction to open the safe.
NOTE: NEVER keep the override keys
inside the safe itself.
3. Replace the small plastic cover (2)
onto the front panel.
INSTALLING THE SAFE
The safe should be secured vertically to a wall,
cupboard shelf or to the floor using the four
expansion bolts (supplied).
• There are 4 holes (9mm) on the rear and 4 holes
(9mm) on the bottom of the safe for securing to
a wall or the floor.
INSTALLING THE BATTERIES
The safe requires 4 x AA (1.5V) batteries.
1. Open the safe.
2. Remove the battery cover plate on
the back of the door and install the
batteries.
3. Ensure the batteries are installed with
the correct polarity.
4. The use of alkaline batteries is
recommended.

PROGRAMMING THE CODE
With the safe door open and the batteries installed:
1. Press and release the red button
on side of the lock housing.
• You will hear two beeps.
• The yellow indicator light on the
keypad will be on at the same
time.
2. Enter the code you want to use
(3-8 digits) as a combination.
3. Confirm within 15 seconds by
pressing the letter “A” or “B” on the keypad.
• The safe “bleeps” twice and the yellow light will go off. Your personal
code is now set.
4. With the safe door open, test that the new combination has been
programmed.
TO OPEN THE SAFE
1. Enter your personal code followed by the letter “A” or “B”.
• You will hear a beep and the green light on the front of the safe will light
up.
2. Turn the doorknob in a clockwise direction to open the door within 5
seconds.
• If you, or an intruder uses the incorrect group of numbers, it will not ope.
• If the incorrect combination is used 3 times consecutively, you must wait
for 20 seconds before trying again.
• If the incorrect combination is selected a further 3 times, you must wait
approximately 5 minutes before trying again.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT WARNING
If the batteries are low, the red light (in the middle of the number panel) will
illuminate.
