Thank you for purchasing this CLARKE Bench Grinder Stand, which is designed
for general workshop use.
The CLARKE Bench Grinder Stand will accommodate most bench grinders with
2 or 4 bolt mountings.
Its heavy duty, cast iron construction ensures security and stability of the
bench grinder, which may be further enhanced by anchoring the stand to the
floor.
To assemble the stand, lower the tube into its housing on the base and secure
with the two screws provided. Similarly, locate the table mounting on to the
tube, again securing with the two screws provided.
The Bench Grinder should be mounted with its centre of gravity as near to the
centre of the table as possible, ensuring that the correct size bolts are used for
the sizes of holes in your grinder mountings and flat washers are used to
compensate for the oversize holes in the table.
The nuts should be nipped up firmly but be careful not to overtighten them.
An 12 mm hole is provided on the end of each foot to allow the stand to be
anchored to the floor. Ensure the floor is level before the stand is secured.
Site the grinder in a well lit area, not where you will be working in you own light.
Ensure an adequate electrical supply is close at hand - avoid long extensions
which are a hazard in a workshop environment.
