Welcome to TruColor LS
TruColor LS™ delivers an unprecedented
volume of soft light optimized for image
capture, as well as other applications
that demand accurate color rendering. By
harnessing Remote Phosphor Technology
(RPT), the TruColor LS equals the output of a
1K incandescent soft light using less than 150
watts of AC power. This means you can plug
several units into a single 15 amp circuit and
avoid the added cost of generators, fuel, and
heavy cables. Operating temperatures are
also signifi cantly reduced, producing virtually
no heat in the illuminated area.
Rather than traditional diffusion to soften
the light source, the light actually emits from
the RPT panels on the front of the fi xture,
providing a light characteristic that radiates
equally in a 160º radius. The ability for
TruColor LS light to “wrap” your subject with
soft, edgeless shadows are unlike any fi xture
you’ve ever used.
when the phosphor panels are removed.
The color temperature of the TruColor LS is
extremely consistent fi xture to fi xture, and
will not change over time like other lighting
technologies.
The TruColor LS is extremely durable, built to
last with anodized alloy construction, fl exible
polycarbonate panels, and fi eld-serviceable
components. There are two choices for the
fi xture PSU: the AC150, a small, low-cost
locally dimmed power supply, and the DX450,
which powers up to three LS fi xtures and
includes both local and DMX control. Both
PSU options connect to the lamphead with a
ruggedized multi-core cable.
The TruColor LS is fl icker-free to 10,000 fps
and passively cooled, perfect for any fi lm or
television project, in the studio or on location.
The LS fi xture uses interchangeable
polycarbonate panels that have been coated
with a special phosphor mix to generate
white light. The panels are available in
standard CCTs for fi lm and television lighting
applications: 2700K, 3200K, 4300K, 5600K
6500K. Additionally, a panel sets specifi cally
formulated for chroma green and blue screen
lighting is also available. The phosphors are
excited by blue LEDs, which, depending on
the PSU choice are automatically turned off

General Notes
1. Please read through this manual carefully before operating TruColor LS, and keep this
manual for future reference.
2. There are numerous safety instructions and warnings that must be adhered to for your
own safety.
3. TruColor LS is not intended for residential use. It is intended for use in a professional studio.
4. The product must be serviced by a qualified technician.
5. The fixture is rated for indoor use and in a dry environment.
6. The product is not certified for use in hazardous locations.
7. The fixture’s typical operating temperature is 55°C (130°F).
Fixture Set Up
1. Read these safety instructions carefully to ensure fixture and accessories are used safely.
2. Ensure the 28mm Spigot is correctly mounted onto the yoke before rigging.
3. Always use secondary safety cables of suitable length when hanging TruColor LS
lampheads or PSUs.
4. The LS lamphead weighs 4.9 lbs. (2.3 kg) excluding accessories, and the DX450 PSU
weighs 12 lbs. (5.5 kg). The combined weight should be considered when choosing a
suitable safety cable.
5. Safety cables must securely be attached to the designated slots on TruColor LS (detailed on
page 4) and be as short as possible to reduce travel distance if primary hanging accessory
fails.
6. Ensure that the yoke lock is correctly tightened when manipulating TruColor LS in the
required orientation for safety purposes.
7. Ensure TruColor LS is operated within the range of -20 to +50°C (-4 to 122°F)

Connections and Controls
LS Lamphead
All controls for the fixture are located on the fixture PSU. The front of the fixture includes the
phosphor panel, yoke lock and accessory slots / locking device for attaching optional light
control. There is a replaceable 150w LED board on the fixture (replacement part # 261-0006)
Two panel removal screws located on the side of the lamphead will release the accessory rail
for access to the remote phosphor panels.
The accessory rail has a safety “kill switch” that will turn the light off when unfastened. For
proper operation ensure that accessory rail is securely fastened but not over tightened. Cineo
highly recommends the use of a safety cable along with proper mounting equipment when
mounting the Cineo products into a ceiling or lighting grid. Reference the Cineo catalogue for
current TruColor LS lamp head mounting options and light control.
The TruColor LS is rated for indoor use and in a dry environment.
