1 - PRESENTATION
- The Proguard range.
- The Proguard range is available in 8 models (60, 110, 150, 200, 350, 450) ranging from 60 litres to 450 litres.
- The models are designed for protection against burglary and fire and are certified to : EN 1143-1 European test against burglary attack. EN 1047-1 European test for one hour resistance against fire including drop test.
- Safe body.
- The body of the safe is prepared with a hole for base fixing with a M12 dyna bolt.
- The bolt cups are fully integrated and anchored into the safe body armor.
- Safe door.
- The door of the safe is fully demountable and can be opened up to 180° to allow a full clear passage.
- The door includes a lock case which is fixed by BTR screws which provide access to the locks and boltwork.

- The door is equipped with a traditional three way moving bolwork mechanism which actions
3 à 6 lateral bolts according to the different models; in addition there is a moving upper bolt and a moving lower bolt.
- The door can be equipped with one or two EN 1300 certified locks.

2 - TESTS AND CERTIFICATIONS.
Description of tests EN 1143-1 - European burglary attack resistant test.
IMPORTANT:
- Any modification or addition of equipment not specified or conceived for this range of safes, can have the following consequences :
- Loss of certification approval.
- Los in assurance cover by the insurance company.
- Any drilling of the body or the door of the safe for attempting to open the safe in a locked position, will have the immediate consequence of loss of the certification approval.

4 - FIXING PROCEDURE
INSTALLATION:
Please ensure that the safe is correctly positioned and it is level and flush ; this will avoid any “run” of
the door and will ensure a correct functioning and longevity of the door opening parts.
1- Position the safe in its definitive place. 2- Ensure that the safe is level by using a spirit level. (uses
wedges if required)
3- Open the door and check that there is no run (i.e. that
the door is flush)
If there is any run please review the wedging.
BASE FIXING:
- All Proguard Grade III models are prepared for base fixing.
- A M12 dynabolt is included with the product.

6 - REPLACEMENT OF THE HANDLE.
1 – Remove the four retaining screws.
2 – Throw the bolts and lock the lock in order to block the handle mechanism.
3 – Remove the nut that hold the cam on the square spindle of the handle, then remove the cam.
4 – Pull the handle towards the outside of the door in order to extract the handle.
Note: To replace the handle, follow the above steeps in reverse order.

7 - REPLACEMENT OF THE MAUER LOCKS PRESIDENT A & VARIATOR.
1 – Remove the four retaining screws of the back plate cover.
2 – Remove the 4 M5 screws which hold the Manganese plate.
3 – Remove the four screws which hold the Mauer 70076 Variator.
4 – * Secure the nylon cord with a plastic
strip, and then remove the four screws which hold the lock and then the lock.

5 – Remove the two screws which hold the blocking part on the lock bolt, then take the blocking part apart.
Note: To replace the lock, follow the above steeps in reverse order.

8 - REPLACEMENT OF THE TITAN ELECTRONIC LOCK.
1 – Remove the four retaining screws of the back plate cover.
2 – Remove the silver screw cover.
3 – Unscrew the screw + screw from the keypad.
4 – Pull the terminal to clear.
5 – Unplug the cable connecting the input unit to the inner security unit.
6 – *Secure the nylon cord as it is mentioned above for the Mauer key locks.
6 – Remove the 4 M5 screws which hold the Manganese plate.
7 – Remove the four screws which hold the Titan security unit.
8 – Remove the lock from the door then remove the blocking part as it is mentioned above for the Mauer key locks.
Note: To replace the lock, follow the above steeps in reverse order.

9 - REPLACEMENT OF THE WITTKOPP COMBISTAR ELECTRONIC LOCK 7250.
1 – Remove the four retaining screws of the back plate cover.
2 – *Secure the nylon cord as it is mentioned above for the Mauer key locks.
3– Remove the 4 M5 screws which hold the Manganese plate.
4 – Remove the four screws which hold the Wittcopp security unit.
5 – Unplug the cable then remove the security unit.
6 - Remove the blocking part as it is mentioned above for the Mauer key locks.
Note: To replace the handle, follow the above steeps in reverse order.

10 – REPLACEMENT OF THE S&G 6642 DIAL COMBINATION LOCK.
1 – Remove the four retaining screws of the back plate cover.
2 – *Secure the nylon cord as it is mentioned above for the Mauer key locks.
3– Remove the 4 screws M5 which hold the Manganese plate.
4 – Remove the Screws which hold the lock cover.

6 – Before removing the spindle from the lock, fix the spine key position ( VD).
7 – Remove the spindle by turning counter clockwise.
8 – *Secure the nylon cord as it is mentioned above for the Mauer key locks.
3– Remove the 4 screws M6 which hold the lock then remove the lock from the door.
Note: To replace the handle, follow the above steeps in reverse order.

10 - COMMISSIONING
10-1 commissioning of Proguard Grade III with key lock only.
OPENING:
1 – Swing the escutcheon to reveal the key hole.
2 – Introduce the key vertically into the key hole.
(hole in key hole to the top)
3 – Fully turn the key clockwise.
NOTE : The key is held in position when the key is in unlock position.
4 – Turn the handle fully clockwise
5 – Pull the door, the safe is now open.
CLOSING:
1 – Push the door.
2 – Turn the handle fully anti clockwise.
3 – Fully turn the key anti clockwise, then remove the key from the lock.

10-2 Commissioning of Proguard Grade III with S&G Titan electronic lock.
BATERY INSTALLATION:
1 – Pull towards you the small blue tab.
2 – Turn the black housing anti clockwise.
3 – Connect the battery, then place it in the battery holder and push the black housing back into
place, then turn to the right until it locks in situ.
OPENING:
1 – Enter the ex factory master code “123456#”.
2 – Turn the black housing fully clockwise.
3 – Turn the handle fully clockwise.
NOTE: For the modification of the factory code, please consult the user manual supplied with this
product.
CLOSING:
1 – Close the door.
2 – Turn the handle anti clockwise.
3 – Turn the black housing anti clockwise.

BATTERY INSTALLATION (see page 18)
FIRSTLY OPENING OF THE TITAN ELECTRONIC LOCK:
1 – Enter the ex factory master code “123456#”.
2 – Turn the black housing to the right until it comes to a complete stop.
SECONDLY OPENING OF THE MAUER KEY LOCK:
1 – Swing the escutcheon to reveal the key hole.
2 – Introduce the key vertically into the key hole. (hole in key hole to the top)
3 – Turn the key clockwise until it comes to a stop.
NOTE: The key is held prisoner during the opening upper lock; the rotation is approximately from
12h00 – 16h00
4 – Turn the handle fully to the right up to the limit.
5 – Pull the door the safe is open.
NOTE: For the modification of the factory code, please consult the user manual supplied with this
product.
CLOSING:
1 – Push close the door.
2 – Turn the handle fully to the left up to the limite.
3 – Turn the key to the left up to the vertical limit then remove it from the lock.
4 – Turn the black housing to the left as far as it will go.

BATTERY INSTALLATION:
1 – Open the keypad.
2 – Connect the battery, then place it in the battery holder.
3 – Close the key pad.
OPENING:
1 – Enter the factory master code “123456” and “123456”.
2 – Turn the keypad clockwise.
3 – Turn the handle fully clockwise.
NOTE: For the modification of the factory code, please consult the user manual supplied with this
product.
CLOSING :
1 – Close the door.
2 – Turn the handle anti clockwise.
3 – Turn the keypad anticlockwise.

FIRSLY OPENING OF THE COMBISTAR ELECTRONIC LOCK;
1 – Enter the factory master code “123456” and “123456”.
2 – Turn the keypad clockwise.
SECONDLY OPENING OF THE MAUER KEY LOCK:
1 – Swing the escutcheon to reveal the key hole.
2 – Introduce the key vertically into the key hole. (hole in key hole to the top)
3 – Turn the key clockwise until it comes to a stop.

10-5 commissioning of Proguard Grade III with key lock + dial combination lock S&G 6642.
Firstly To Open the safe with the factory code number: (Refer to Figure A)
Step 1: Turn dial left, aligning first number 10 with the opening index
the fourth time it comes to the index.
Step 2: Turn dial right, aligning second number 20 with the opening Index the third time it comes to the index.
Step 3: Turn dial left, aligning third number 30” with the opening index the second time it comes to the index.
Step 4: Turn dial right until dial comes to a complete stop.
Step 5: To relock and secure the combination lock, turn the dial to
the left at least four revolutions.
Important:
Turn dial slowly and evenly. Do not turn back to regain alignment if you rotate past number. If an error is made, re-dial entire combination. Do not count turns. Count how many times each number is
aligned with the opening index (at the 12 o’clock position). Always view the dial and ring straight on,
not at an angle.
Secondly to open the key lock then the door:
1 – Swing the escutcheon to reveal the key hole.
2 – Introduce the key vertically into the key hole. (Hole in key hole to the top)
3 – Turn the key clockwise until it comes to a stop.
4 – Turn the handle fully to the right up to the limit.
5 – Pull the door the safe is open.

11 - INSTALLATION OF SHELVES.
1 – Position the support to the right side according to the height desired.
2 – Insert the shelf fixing clip (2 on the right side support, and 2 on the left side.
3 – Position the shelf first of all on one side and the second on the other..
