1. Heaters are to be mounted a minimum of 24 inches above the floor
in a horizontal position.
2. Heaters may be positioned with the terminal box at either end.
3. Do not install one unit above another.
4. Do not block or cover heaters in any manner which may obstruct
free air flow.
5. Do not recess units into the wall.
6. If heaters are repainted, use only a high heat resistant paint, capa-
ble of withstanding a temperature of 1000˚F (538˚C).
7. All control devices, when required, must also be explosion proof
unless located remote from the hazardous location.

Element is not field serviceable. It is then necessary to ship to factory
for repair.
REPLACEMENT PARTS
WARNING: Hazard of Electric Shock. Disconnect all
power before installing heater.
WARNING: Hazard of Electric Shock. Any installation
involving electric heaters must be effectively grounded in accordance with the National Electrical Code to
eliminate shock hazard.
1. Check to ensure that supply voltage is the same as the voltage
marked on heater nameplate.
2. Mount heaters securely on wall, using suitable hardware.
Mounting brackets are located at the ends of the element(s) on
unfinned portions.
3. Electric wiring to heater must be installed in accordance with the
National Electrical Code and with local codes by a qualified person. WARNING: Use copper conductors only.
4. Wire heater as per wiring diagram located in the terminal box. Use
wires suitable for at least 75˚C (167˚F) for FPEP heaters and least
90˚C (194˚F) for CEP-15 heaters.
5. Before sealing enclosure with cover, ensure that all foreign particles are removed from enclosure and joints.
