1. FUNKTIONEN
Dieses CHRIS BENZ SURF &SAIL - Mo dell hat die folgend aufgeführte Funktionen:

Der Taucher ring (Lünet te) ist eine wichtige Vorric htung zum Ablesen und Kontrollieren der
Tauchzeit. Zur erhöhten Sicherheit ist die Lünette nur gegen den Uhrzeigersinn dr ehbar!
Die vers chließbare Krone ist durch Dichtungsringe gesichert und garantieren die Wasserdichtigkeit bei geschlossener Krone. Durch die Krone lassen sich Uhrzeit und Datum auf
schnellstem Wege einstellen.
Die am Uhrenarmband aufgedruckte Dekotabelle hilft dem Taucher beim Einhalten
der Dekompressionspausen - ersetzt aber nicht den Tauchcomputer.
Das Saphirglas, mit dem Härtegrad 9, bietet quasi
lebenslangen Schutz gegen Kratzer.
Das CHRIS BENZ SURF &SA IL Modell ist durch O-R inge (Dichtungen), verschr aubte
Krone un d Gehäuseb oden bis mind. 20bar (200m) wasser dicht.
2. ZUR BEACHTUNG BEIM GEBRAUCH

Überprüfen Sie vor jedem Tauchgang ob die Krone
hineingedrückt und fest verschraubt ist.
Waschen Sie die Uhr nach dem Tauchen im Salzwasser gut mit Süsswass er
ab um Flugr ostbildung zu verhindern. Trocknen Sie die Uhr im Anschluss.
Wenn die Außentemperatur niedriger ist als im Inneren der Uhr kann das Glas beschlagen. Wenn
sich der Beschlag s ofort wieder aufl öst, besteht kein Problem. Sollte dies nicht der Fall sein, lassen
Sie die Uhr bitte beim Fachhändler übe rprüfen.
Die Uhr ist mit Dichtungen gegen Schmutz, Staub, Wasser, etc. ausgstattet. Um deren Funktion
zu gewährleisten, las sen Sie dies e bitte regelmäßig (ca. alle 2-3 Jahre) bei einem Fachhändler
überprüfen und ggf. austauschen.
Wenn das Band Risse auf weist, lassen Sie es bitte unverzüglich taus chen.
Vermeiden Sie starke Schläge.
Vermeiden Sie es die Uhr extremer Sonneneins trahlung und Hitze auszusetzen.
Dies kann die Funktion sowie die Batterielebensdauer be einträchtigen.

Die Krone des CHRIS BENZ Björn Dunkerbeck Chronographen ist verschraubt und muss erst gelöst werden, um Eins tellungen vornehmen zu können! Bitte die Krone nicht im Wasser oder wenn die Uhr nass ist
bedienen. Die Uhr ist nur wasserdicht, wenn die Krone verschraubt und somit richtig verschlossen ist.
3. EINSTELLEN VON UHRZEIT UND DATUM
EINSTELLUNG DER ZE IT:
Um den Sekundenzeiger zu stoppen bitte aufgeschraubte
Krone auf die zweite Position her ausziehen (2).
Durch dr ehen der Kr one bitte Minuten-und Stundenzeiger
auf die gewünschte Zeit einstellen.
Sobald Sie die Krone wieder in ihre Au sgangsstellung hineindrücken
beginnt der Sekundenzeiger wieder zu laufen.
EINSTELLUNG DES K ALENDERS:
Ziehen Sie die Krone auf die erste Position her aus (1).
Nachdem Sie die Zeit und den Kalender korrekt eingestellt haben, bitte die
Krone in Ausgangss tellung hine indrücken und sicher verschrauben.
Durch dr ehen der Kr one bitte gewünschten Wochentag und Datum eins tellen.

HINWEIS: Verstellen Sie Tag und Datum nicht, wenn sich die Zeiger zwischen
21 und 4 Uhr befi nden, da diese dann eventl. nic ht richtig wechseln.

4. DIE FUNKTION DES REGISTERRINGES (LÜNETTE)
Mit dem Registerring können Sie schnell und einfach die vergangene Tauchzeit
sowie die noch zur Verfügung stehe nde Tauchzeit und somit ihre Tauchdauer
feststellen.
BESTIMMUNG DER VERGANGENEN ZEIT:
Stellen Sie die Null-Po sition der L ünette (gekennzeichnet mit einem Leuchtpunk t) auf
den Minutenzeiger und lesen Sie die ve rgangene Zeit auf dem Registerring ab.
BESTIMMUNG DER NOCH ZUR VERFÜGUNG STEHENDEN ZEI T:
Stellen Sie die Null-Position auf eine Wunschzeit und lesen
Sie die verbleibende Zeit auf der Lünette ab.

6. KORREKTUR DER STOPPUHR-ZEIGERSTELLUNG

Die Krone (2) durch Drehen entrie geln und zwei
Einraststufen herausziehen.
Durch Drücken von Taste (1) lässt sic h der
Stoppuhrzeiger bewegen. Der Zeiger ist auf 0
zu stellen. Durch Gedrückthalten von Taste (1)
wird der Ze iger rasch vorwärt s bewegt.
Nun die aktuelle Uhrzeit einste llen. Hierzu gemäß den Anweisungen auf Seite 4 vorgehen.
Die Krone in ihre ursprüngliche Position zurückstellen, dann auf sie drücken und dabe i drehen,
bis sie arretiert ist. Der Zeiger hält nun bei der
Nullung wieder auf 12 Uhr.

7. UMGANG MIT DER BATTERIE
LEBENSDAUER
MITGELIEFERTE BATTERIE
Eine frisch eingesetzte Batterie hat eine Lebensdauer von ungefähr zwei Jahren.
Die beim Kauf der Uhr bereits einge setzte B atterie dient beim Hersteller als Stromquelle für
die Funktions- und Leistungspr üfungen vor dem Versand. B eachten Sie bitte dahe r, dass diese
Batte rie in Sonde rfällen nicht zwei Jahre vorhalten kann.
AUSTAUSCH DER BATTERIE
Überla ssen Sie bit te den Batterieaus tausch de m Fachmann. Wenden Sie sich daher bei verbrauchter Batterie an einen CHRIS BENZ Fac hhändler oder direkt an unser Service Center.
Beim Batteriewechsel sollte auch eine Prüfung der Wasserdichtigkeit, der einwandfre ien
Funktion aller Teile sowie e in Austaus ch des Dichtungsmaterials erf olgen.
Vor länger em Gebrauch der Uhr im Ausland empfi ehlt sich ein Bat terieaustausch, da u. U. diese
Dienstleistung dann vor Ort und Stelle nicht verfügbar ist. Der Bat terieaustausch, die Inspektion
der Uhr sowie der Austausch von Ersatzteilen ist - auch in der Garantiezeit - gebührenpfl ichtig.

Auf dem Kautschukar mband der CHRIS BENZ
Modelle sind die dekompressionsfreien B ereiche
gemäß dem „Americ an Navy Diving Manual“
aufgedruckt.
Die Nullzeit ist beim Tauchen mit Drucklufttauchgerät die durch die Dekompr essions tabelle
vorgegebene Zeitspanne, in der man ohne
Dekompressionsstopp (zeitlic hes Verharren in
einer be stimmten T iefe) an die Wasseroberfl äche
zurück kehren kann. J e tiefer man t aucht, des to
kürzer ist die Nullzeit.
HINWEIS: Diese Werte gelten nur als
Richtlinie und ersetzen keinen Tauchcomputer!

9. PFLEGEHINWEISE
Wenn Sie die Uhr längere Zeit nicht benutzen, reinigen Sie diese
bitte gründlich von Schmutz, Schweiss und Feuchtigkeit.
Belassen Sie leer e Batterien nicht in der Uhr, da diese auslaufen und das Uhrwerk
beschädigen könnte n. Ersetzen Sie diese dur ch eine neue Batterie bei ihrem Fachhändler.
Zum Reinige n der Uhr benutzen Sie einfach leicht s eifi ges Wasser
und eine Zahnbürste.

The register ring (bezel) is an important tool for reading and controlling your diving time.
For greater accuracy the register ring can be moved only c ounter-clockwise!
The scr ew lock crown is secured by gaskets. This watch is only water-resistant
if the crown is closed! With the crown you can set the time and calendar quickly.
The „no de compres sion limits chart“ is imprinted on your rubber strap. this
table he lps you plan for correct decompression but don´t replaces your diving computer.
The sapphire glass is scratch-resistant and has a hardness-gra de of 9
which equals that of a sapphire jewel!
This CHR IS BENZ SURF&SA IL model is water-resist ant to 20 bar (200m)
because of the gasket s and the scr ew-lock crown.
2. CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF WATCH

Clean the watch properly with freshwater af ter diving in s altwater to avoid
rust. Dry the watch after cleaning.
The watch is equipped with gaskets to avoid dirt, dust, water, etc.. Please check
the gaskets regularly (every 2-3 years) at an offi cial dealer and change them
immediately if necessary.
Please c hange the strap when cracks appear.
Avoid major impacts.
Please c heck that the crown is securely closed before every single dive.
If the outdoor temperature is lower than that of the inside of the watch, the glass
can show signs of condensation. If the fogging clears soon af ter ther e is no proble m.
Please c ontact an offi cial dealer if the clouding does not disappear.
Exposure to extr eme temperatures (direct sunlight etc.) could
negatively infl uence functions or the reser ve energy of the battery.

3. SETTING THE TIME AND CALENDAR
The crown of your CHRIS BENZ Björn Dunkerbeck Chronograph model is a sc rew-lock t ype and has to
be opened fi rs t before settings can be made! Please don´t open the crown in the water or if the watch
is wet. The watch will be only water-resi stant if the c rown is locked and secur ely close d.

To stop the second hand ope n the crown and pull
it out to the second position (2).
You can set the minute and hour hand by turning the crown.
As soon a s you push the crown back into the basic position
the secound hand will st art again.

Pull the crown out to the fi rst position (1).
After setting time and calendar please push back the crown
in basic position and s crew it sec urely.
You can set the weekday and date by turning the crown.

6. ADJUSTING THE POSITION OF THE CHRONOMETER HAND
Unscrew the crown (2) to release it and pull it
out two steps.
Pressing button (1) will allow the chronometer
hand to move. Set the hand to t he position 0.
Move the hand forward r apidly by pre ssing button
(1) continuously.
To set the correct time, refer to page 16 for
instructions.
Push the c rown back to its original position,
press down and turn it to screw lock it back
in place. T he chronometer hand will now stop
again at the 0 position.

7. THE BATTERY
BATTERY LIFE
THE ORIGINAL BATT ERY
The bat tery in the watch at the time of purchas e is one to test the function and performance of
the watch. Please be awar e that this bat tery may not last for the 2 years estimated for normal
batteries.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
All battery replacements should be done by our Service Center. To replace the battery, please
contact the place of purchase or contact a Service Center directly.
The new battery installed in this watch will last approximately 2 years.
Befor e using this watch for long periods over seas, it´s recommended that a bat tery replacement
as well as service of your watch should be execute d. A charge for batter y replacement and related
inspec tion and par ts replacement will issued, even within the specifi ed warranty period.
8. NO DECOMPRESSION LIMITS CHART

On the rubber strap of your CHRIS BENZ model
you can read the decompress-fr ee areas ac cording to the „ American Navy Diving Manual“.
A no-decompression limit (NDL) is a time limit.
No-decompression limits vary from dive to dive.
A diver who stays underwater longer than the
no-decompression limit for his dive can not
ascend directly to the surface, but must break
periodically as he ascends to avoid a high risk of
decompression sickness. A diver should b e never
exceed a no-decompression limit without specialized training in decompressio n procedures.

La lunette est un élément essentiel de votr e montre, il permet de connaître et de contrôler le temps
de plongée. Pour accroître la sécurité, la lunette tourne dans le sens contraire des aiguilles de
montre.
La cour onne de votre montre est é quipé d‘un joint, l‘étanchéité de votre montre est donnée par ce
joint. Veuillez vous assurer avant chaque plongée que le couronne est toujours bien vissée à fond.
Le règlage de l‘heur e et de la date se f ont par la cour onne.
La table de plongée imprimée sur le bracelet aide
le plonge ur à respec ter les paliers de décompression.
Le verre saphir, d‘une dureté classe 9, offre une pr otection quasi permanente contre les rayur es.

Toutes les mo ntres CHR IS BENZ DEEP s ont grâce au joint d‘étanchéité de la couronne,
et du fond vissé garant ies étanc hes 50 bars (500m).
2. VEUILLEZ PRENDRE LES PRÈCAUTIONS SUIVANTES
LORSQUE VOUS UTILISEZ LA MONTRE
Après une plongée en mer, veuillez pass er, laver votre montre à l’eau douce, et sécher la bien ensuite.
Votre montre est protégée contre l’eau, la poussière, etc… par différents joints. Nous vous
conseillons de les faire contrôler régulièrement (envir on tous les 2-3 ans) auprès d’un
revende ur CHRIS BENZ, pour qu’il procède au remplacement si néces saire.

Veuillez faire remplacer le bracelet lorsque celui ci présente de s déchirures.
Evitez les chocs.
Contrôlez avant chaque plongée si la couronne e st bien vissée.
Il peut se produire une buée à l’intérieure de la montre lorsque la tempé rature ex térieure est basse.
Il n’y a pas de problème d’ét anchéité l orsque ce tte buée disparaît rapidement. Si tel n’est pas le cas,
alors nous vous conseillons vive ment de faire vérifi er votre montre chez votre reve ndeur CHRIS BENZ.
Veuillez éviter les exp ositions prolongée s au soleil, ou de la poser prè s d’une sourc e de chaleur.
Cela pourrait per turber le b on fonctionnement de la montre, et peut impacter la durée de vie de
la pile.

dévissée pour faire des réglages. Veuillez ne p as manipuler la couronne dans l’eau ou lor sque la
montre e st mouillée. L’étanc héité est garantie que si la couronne est parfaitement vissée.

Tirer la couronne, la mettre en position (2).
L’aiguille des sec ondes s’arrêtera lor sque la couronne sera e n position (2).
3. RÈGLAGE DE LA DATE ET DE L`HEURE
RÈGL AGE DE L´HEURE:
RÈFÈR ENCE: Nous vou s conseillons de régle r la date et l’heure entre 5 e t 21 heures.
RÈGL AGE DU JOUR E T DE LA DATE THE C ALENDAR:
Tirer la couronne, la mettre en position (1).
Une fois le réglage ef fectué, appuyez, puis vissez la cour onne.
Nous rappelons que, pour garantir l’étanchéité, la couronne doit être vissée à fond.
Tourner la couronne, dans un sens vous allez faire le ré glage du jour et,
dans l’autre sens, le ré glage du jour.
Tourner la couronne pour le réglage de l’heure.
Une fois le réglage ef fectué, appuyez, puis vissez la cour onne.
Nous rappelons que, pour garantir l’étanchéité, la couronne doit être vissée à fond.

Avec la lunet te, vous pouvez rapidement et simplement déterminer le temps de plongée écoulé
ainsi que le temps de plongée restant et, ainsi, déterminer le temps total de votre plongée.
Au démarrage de votre plongée, pos itionnez le point phosphorescent de la lunette sur l’aiguille
des minutes. Vous allez alors pouvoir lire le temps é coulé par le cture directe sur votre lunette.
Au démarrage de votre plongée, pos itionnez le point phosphorescent de la lunette sur le temps de
plongée souhaité. Vous allez pouvoir lire le temps r estant de votre plongé e en lecture directe sur
votre lunette.

6. CORRECTION DE LA POSITION DES AIGUILLES DU CHRONOGRAPHE
Tirer la couronne, la mettre en position (2)
En appuyant sur le bouton (1) peut se déplacer
les aiguilles du chronomètre. L e pointeur est mis
à 0. Maintenant enfoncé le bouton (1) du pointeur
est déplacé rapidement vers l‘avant.
Maintenant l‘heure actuelle. A cet effet, en
suivant les instructions sur la page 28.
Remettez la couronne à sa position initiale, puis
la presser dans et tournez jusqu‘à ce qu‘il soit
verrouillé. Le pointeur détient maintenant à
l‘horloge de mise à zé ro de retour à 12.

7. L A PILE
LA DUR ÈE DE VIE
UTILISER LA PILE
La duré e de vie de la pile est d’environ 2 ans.
Il est néc essaire à votre revendeur, afi n de vérifi er le bon f onctionnement de votr e montre, de
mettr e la pile en route. Il se peut alors que la pile n’atteigne pa s l’autonomie normale de 2 ans.
REMPLACEMENT DE LA PILE
Veuillez obligatoire ment faire r emplacer la pile auprès d’un revendeur
agréé CHRIS BENZ, ou auprès de notre service client CHRIS BENZ.
Il est for tement conseillé de f aire contr ôler l’étanchéité de votre
montre lors du remplacement de la pile, voir de procéder au remplaceme nt des joints.
Le remplacement de la pile ne peut pa s être pris e n charge par la garantie. Donc,
il sera à votre charge même si la pile n’at teint pas sa durée de vie standard d’environ 2 ans.

Sur le bracelet caoutchouc est imprimée une
table de décompression selo n le „American Navy
Diving Manual“.
Le temps zéro est lor s d‘une plongée avec table à
air compr imé plongée de décompr ession spécifi é
par le pér iphérique, la période de temps pendant
laquelle vous pouvez retourner s ans décompression (persistance temporelle à une profondeur
donnée) à la sur face de l‘eau. Le plus profond de
vous plonger, plus le temps zéro.
