INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
INTERNAL JOIST MOUNT

Prior to assembly, unpack carton completely and verify contents.

(2) Internal Joist Mount Half (4) 1/4-20X4” Carriage Bolt
(1) Internal Joist Mount Top Plate (4) 1/4-20 Nylock Nuts
(1) Internal Joist Mount Bottom Plate (8) #10X1.5” Wood Screw
BEFORE PROCEEDING, READ INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY
WARNING: IMPROPER INSTALLATION MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY!
When mounting Chief Manufacturing accessories, the structural system and mounting method
MUST be capable of supporting 5 times the combined weight of the total installation.
NOTE: The threaded mounting hole accepts an optional standard threaded pipe (not included) and the ½” hole
accepts threaded rod (not included).
1. Assemble two halves of the Internal Joist Mount as shown in Figure 2.
2. Place Internal Joist Mount Top Plate and Internal Joist Mount Bottom Plate on Internal Joist
Mount as shown in Figure 3 and secure using four
3. Using the Internal Joist Mount as a template, locate and mark eight screw hole locations on the
ceiling joists.
4. Secure the Internal Joist Mount to the ceiling joist using eight
