PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Konform® UR-A water-based urethane
conformal coating is desig ned to deliver
outstanding conformal coating protection using a
water-based carrier. It is engineered for
applications where dura bility and environmental
protection against m oisture and air-bor ne
contaminants are required, w hile minimizing the
use and impact of VOC’s. This extremely
effective conf ormal coating provides prote ctive
barrier against hum idity, salt, corrosive va pors
and fungus for printe d circuit boar d and
electronic assemblies. Coating meets IPC-CC830B Class B and sections of MIL-I-46058C,
Type UR.

COMPATIBILITY
Konform® UR- A C onformal Coating is
generally compatible with most materials f ound
on printed circuit boards. As with any chem ical
product, product/compone nt compatibility must
be determined on a non-critical area prior to use.
Do not use on bare, untreated iron and steel.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
For industrial use only.
Read MSDS carefully prior to use.
Before applying Konform ® UR-A water-based
conformal coating, clean circuit boards thoroughly to
remove oil, grease, dirt, flux and all other types of
contamination. Allow to dry. Cleaning m ay be
performed with Che mtronics Electro -Wash or
Eco-Rite™ degreasing produc ts. Do not apply to
iron or untreated steel.
DIP APPLICATION: Using auto matic equipment
or hand imm ersion technique, slowly immerse PCB
into the coating and rem ove slowly. Use an average
rate of approxim ately 1 foot per m inute. After
allowing the board to cure, process may be repeated
to achieve desired thickness.
BRUSH APPLICATI ONS: Eve nly apply coating
to are as des ired a t th ickness requ ired. Allow tim e
for curing before reap plying to achieve a thick
coating. Use Chem ask to p rotect com ponents
during conformal coating process.
CURING: For the best coating appearan ce and
adhesion, cure in conditions with good air flow and a
relative humidity below 70% . Accelerated cure may
be accom plished by lo wering am bient humidity, or
elevating temperature up to 170°F (77°C).
REMOVAL: After applicati on, cured Konform ®
UR-A Confor mal Coating m ay be rem oved by
soaking in Chemtronics Electro-Wash Two Step.
