PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Konform Flexc oat C onformal Coating is designed for applications where flexibility and protection are paramount. This material is as flexible as an RTV s ilicone, but without the disadvantages of a silicone. Providing a soft, rubbery protective coating, this material will coat evenly and provide a flexible and durable protective barrier against hum idity, salt, corrosive vapors and fungus for printed circuit board and electronic assemblies. This coating can be rem oved by cutting a sm all section and peeling the coating away from the surface, or by solvent immersion of the w hole boar d. meets IPC-CC-830B Class B.

COMPATIBILITY
Konform Flexcoat Confor mal Coating is generally compatible with m ost m aterials found on printed circuit boards. As with any chem ical product, product/component com patibility m ust be determined on a non-critical area prior to use.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
For industrial use only. Read MSDS carefully prior to use. Before apply ing Konf orm clean cir cuit boards thor oughly to rem ove oil, gr ease, dirt, flux and all other ty pes of contamination. Allow to dry. Cleanin g m ay be p erformed with Chem tronics Electro-Wash
or Eco-Rite™ degreasing products.
SPRAY AP PLICATION: Appl y top to bottom, allowing coating to flow evenl y aro und com ponents. Rotate PCB 90 and repeat application. Rotate and apply coating two additional times, then allow board to cure. If additional thickness is desi red, apply additional coatings. When using liquid spray with automatic dispen sing equipment, adjustments may be requir ed in appl ication rate and viscosity.
DIP APP LICATION: Using auto matic equip ment or hand immersion technique, slowly immerse PCB into the coating and remove slow ly. Use an average rat e of approximately 1 foot per m inute. After allowing the board to cure, process may be repeated to achieve desired thickness.
BRUSH AP PLICATIONS: Evenl y appl y coating to areas desired at thickness required. Allow time for curing before reapp lying to achieve a thick coating. Use Chemask
to protect com ponents during conf ormal
coating process.
CURING: Tack fre e time is 30 minutes at r oom temperature. Acceler ated cu ring can be obtained by heating for 10 m inutes @ 80 environments. Optim um cure cy cles using radiant or convection conve yer ovens are best determined experimentally. Pro duct may also be cu red for 2 4 h ours @ 77
