IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed:
1. Avoid installation behind a door.
2. Use only the voltage specified on the rating plate of the item.
3. Do not cover or restrict airflow to the inlet or exhaust grilles in any manner as the appliance may overheat and become a fire risk .
4. Do not cover grilles, block entry or exhaust of airflow by placing appliance against any surface. Keep all objects at least 1 meter from the front, sides and rear of the appliance. With exception of appliances designed for wall-mounting, maintain a 1 meter gap from the rear of the unit as well.
5. WARNING: FIRE RISK EXISTS IF THE ITEM IS COVERED BY OR POSITIONED CLOSE TO CURTAINS OR OTHER COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS
6. Do not place appliance close to a radiant heat source.
7. Do not operate in areas where gasoline, paint or other flammable liquids are used or stored.
8. This appliance heats up when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Switch off and use handles where provided when moving.
9. Do not use the appliance to dry clothes.
10. Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst in use.
11. Do not insert or allow foreign objects enter any ventilation or exhaust opening, as this may cause an electric shock, fire or damage to the appliance.
12. Do not immerse in liquid or allow liquid to run into the interior of the appliance, as this could create an electrical shock hazard.
13. Do not use this appliance on a wet surface, or where it can fall or be pushed into water.
14. Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Switch off at supply and unplug immediately.
15. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord, plug or after the appliance malfunction or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return to a qualified electrical person for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, service or repair before further use.
16. Do not operate appliance with wet hands.
17. This appliance is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial use.
18. Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use is not recommended by the manufacturer and may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
19. A common cause of overheating is deposits of dust or fluff in the appliance. Ensure these deposits are removed regularly by unplugging the appliance and vacuum-cleaning air vents and grilles, where available.
20. Do not use this appliance in a window as rain may cause electric shock.
21. Do not use abrasive cleaning products on this appliance. Clean with a damp cloth (not wet) rinsed in hot soapy water only. Always remove plug from the mains supply before cleaning.
22. Do not connect the appliance to the mains source until it has been installed in its final location and adjusted to the position it will be used in.
23. This appliance is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry or similar locations which may be exposed to water, moisture or humidity.
24. Always operate on a flat horizontal surface.
25. Switch off the appliance, then use handles (where provided) to change its position.
26. Do not operate with the cord coiled up as this could cause a build up of heat, which could pose a hazard.
27. The use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended.
28. Do not remove the power plug from the socket by pulling the cord – grip the plug instead.
29. Always unplug appliance when not in use.
30. Do not allow cord to come in contact with heated surfaces during operation.
31. Do not run cord under carpeting, throw rugs or runners etc. Arrange cord away from areas where it is likely to be tripped over.
32. Do not twist, kink or wrap the cord around the appliance, as this may cause the insulation to weaken and split. Always ensure that the cord has been fully removed from any cord storage area before use.
33. Do not store appliance in a box or closed space until it has cooled down sufficiently.
34. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
36. The appliance must not be located immediately below a socket-outlet.
37. Do not use this appliance with a programmer, timer or any other device that switches the heater on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the appliance is covered or positioned incorrectly.
38. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified electrical person in order to avoid a hazard.
39. Do not use this appliance outdoors, or on wet surfaces. Avoid spilling liquid on the appliance.

40. In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
GETTING STARTED
1. Remove the appliance from the box.
2. Remove any packaging from the product.
3. Place the packaging inside the box and either store or dispose of safely.

BASIC START-UP
In order to avoid the possibility of the heater being accidentally lifted from its side mounting brackets when the heater is mounted on a separate hearth, an additional bracket is now provided. Consequently the installation instructions below should be followed to take this improvement into account. Please follow the instructions below to install the heater on the floor:
1. The heater must not be used until it is securely fastened to the wall.
2. At the rear of the heater at each side, there is a bracket as shown.
Correct Disposal of this product
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.
3. These engage behind wall mounted brackets to provide a secure fixing method that cannot be seen in normal use.
4. Hold the heater to the wall it is to be fixed to and mark the level of the bracket fitted to both sides of the heater. The wall bracket is to be mounted approximately 30mm. towards the inside of the heater.
5. Hold the wall brackets at this position and mark the positions of the screw holes.
6. For masonry walls, drill the wall and insert the wall plugs.
7. Screw the wall brackets in place.
8. The heater is then held against the wall above the position of the brackets and then lowered so that its fixing brackets engage behind the wall brackets as shown below. This should be carried out by two people to avoid injury or damage to property.
9. Remove the pebbles from the box.
10. Place the pebbles on the trim as desired.
11. The plug should then be inserted into a nearby mains socket. Do not use an extension lead or any form of adaptor.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS The heater control functions can be accessed in below way:
The appliance has four switches,located on the top of the flame window.
• Switching On/Off button to position , the appliance will illuminate the flame effect lights. As a visual effect – only the flame effect is on, the heater is off. We recommend this mode for warm weather application, when you want the ambiance of a fire, without any heat output.
• As a full -featured log set both flame effect and heater are on, you should switch on all of the On/Off button,
Fan button, Heating 1 and Heating 2 button ( at least Heating 1 button). you can enjoy the look of the fire along with the heat output of a heater.
• The Fan switch will operate the cool air output. And before you turn on heating function, the Fan button must be turn on, otherwise the heating element should not run.
• Pressing Heating 1 select 925W heating element, and pressing Heating 2 seclect 1850W heating element, but the Heating 2 should be turned on only after Heating 1 has been turned on.
This product is for household use only.
RETURN PROCEDURE DECORATIVE FIREPLACES DESIGN
All our fireplaces are guaranteed for 1 year parts and labor. If during this period there were a malfunction of your product, please follow the return procedure below (if baught in France) or contact your dealer if baught in any other European countries :
- Above all else, call customer service at 0951 634 467 to determine the cause of the problem and the solution to.
- Package the defective chimney in its original packaging. Make sure it is properly protected (especially at the corners).
- Attach to the original parcel receipt by circling the date purchase (no photocopies will be accepted) and the name and the return address of the recipient.
- Send it at your expense, to: EFYDIS, 4 allée de l’olivet, 07300 St Jean de Muzols.
- We will repair or replace your defective fireplace and return it to you at our expense at the adress mentioned with the package (address in France).
- We will also return the receipt, dated and buffered to revalidate the warranty.
