ChekOne Device - Front View
1 - Scan engine beam output.
2 - Status Light: displays green when charged, red when charging

10 - Navigation (Nav) Pad: allows you to step UP and Down when navigating on a screen or Menu,

1 - Signal Strength Indicator: shows the signal strength - 1 bar is low, 4 bars is maximum strength.
2 - GPS indicator: will display when the GPS function is turned on.
3 - Satellites Acquired Number: displays the number of GPS stilt's acquired by the device.
4 - Tim e: displays the local tim e of day.
5 - Message Indicator: when displayed there are unread mes sages in your inbox.
6 - Battery Level Indicator: displays battery level.
7 - Percentage of Charge Indicator: displays the percentage of battery charge rem aining.

1 - Press Right to scan a barcode or to select an item highlighted on the dis play screen.

How to scan with your ChekOne device
Scanning Basics;
If the dis play screen is off press RIGHT on the Nav Pad, the display will turn on and SCAN will be
highlighted on the display screen. Press Right again.
If the dis play is on ensure that SCAN is highlighted and press Right on the NAV Pad.
Adjust beam over barcode. Optimal scanning dis tance is from 1 to 3 inches (3 to 8 cm)
depending on light conditions .
Scanner will beep and beam will turn off when barcode is read.
If the barcode did not read correctly 'No Barcode Scanned' will be dis played in the Inform ation
panel at the bottom of the display.
Scan the barcode again.

At the start of your shift scan your ID barcode.

After trans mitting your nam e will be displayed at the bottom or the hom e page.
Step 2 - Scan Property Barcode
Scan the Location barcode for the property you are working at as ins tructed by the system
adm inistrator.
Note: If location barcodes are not being us ed proceed to Step 3
Step 3 - Scan barcodes locationed at the property.
Proceed to scan all barcodes at the property as directed.

Making a 'Panic Call' - Step 1
Press and hold any direction on the Nav Pad until the device em its 2 beeps.
Release the Nav Pad.
Making a 'Panic Call' - Step 2
Press RIGHT on the Nav Pad to complete the call.
Press LEFT on the Nav Pad to cancel the call.

Your ChekOne device is pre-programed with the 911 emergency phone number.
Making a '911 Call' - Step 1

Your ChekOne device is programmed with phone num bers set by the system administrator.
You can only call the phone numbers in your phone book, if a phone num ber is required contact
the system administrator to send the tem porary phone number to your device.
Select CALL on the home screen
Press DOWN on the Nav Pad until 'CALL' is highlighted on the Hom e screen.
Press RIGHT on the Nav Pad to open your phone book.

How to read and reply to messages.
When a message is received your ChekOne device will emit 2 beeps and the Message Icon will
be displayed on the Service Status Panel at the top of the display screen.
Press DOWN on the NAV PAD until MESSAGES is highlighted.
Press RIGHT to read the mes sage.
UNREAD MESSAGE is highlighted.

How to Reset the Lone Worker Timer
Lone Worker is a feature to ensure your safety when you are working alone.
Lone Worker will automatically start as set by the system adm inistrator.
GPS tracking will turn on when Lone Worker is on.
You cannot turn Lone Worker off.
When Lone Worker is initiated on your ChekOne device a count down timer will be displayed
bes ide Lone Worker on the Home screen.
Lone Worker timers are set by the system adm inistrator to 60, 30 or 15 minutes . Timer will count
down when there is no scanning activity.
Each time you perform a scan the timer will reset.

Lone Worker Timer about to expire
When the Lone Worker timer reaches 2 minutes your ChekOne device will emit a single repeating
beep and the RESET LONE WORKER screen will be dis played until Lone Worker is reset.
Press right on the NAV PAD to reset the timer.
The dis play will return to the hom e screen.
Resetting Lone Worker at anytime - Step 1
The Lone Worker timer is reset each tim e a scan is completed.
Res etting Lone Worker at anytime;
1 - Press down on the NAV PAD until LONE WORKER IS highlighted.
2 - Press RIGHT to select - the Lone Worker options screen will be displayed.

How to Reduce Lone Worker Time Interval
Lone Worker timers are set by the system adm inistrator to 60, 30 or 15 minutes .
You can reduce the Lone Worker time interval at any time when you find yourself in a high risk
situation and want to be monitored more often.
Each time you reduce the time interval the timer will be reduced in half.
The shortest Lone Worker time interval is 7 minutes.
Reduce your Lone Worker Time Interval - Step 1
1 - Press down on the NAV PAD until LONE WORKER IS highlighted.
2 - Press RIGHT to select - the Lone Worker options screen will be displayed.

Reduce your Lone Worker Time Interval - Step 2
1 - Press DOWN on the NAV PAD until 'Reduce Tim e Interval' is highlighted.
2 - Press RIGHT on the NAV PAD to reduce the time interval by half.
The dis play will return to the hom e screen and the new Lone Worker time interval will by displayed.
Repeat until the des ired time interval is displayed.
Note: The shortest tim e interval is 7 minutes.

How to Restore Lone Worker Time Interval
You can restore the Lone Worker time interval to the orginal setting at any time.
Restore your Lone Worker Time Interval - Step 1
1 - Press down on the NAV PAD until LONE WORKER IS highlighted.
2 - Press RIGHT to select - the Lone Worker options screen will be displayed.
Reduce your Lone Worker Time Interval - Step 2
1 - Press DOWN on the NAV PAD until 'Res tore Time Interval' is highlighted.
2 - Press RIGHT on the NAV PAD to reset the timer.
The dis play will return to the hom e screen and the new Lone Worker time interval will by displayed.

How to Charge Your ChekOne Device
The charging port is located on the bottom end of the ChekOne device.
Always use ChekOne Originalâ„¢ battery chargers.
The device warranty does not cover dam age caus ed from using non-ChekOne battery chargers.
Maintain the ChekOne at or near room temperature when charging.
How to charge your ChekOne Device
Pull back the top of the rubber plug and ins ert charger ensuring proper alignm ent (Flat side of the
connector facing up).

How To Reset your ChekOne Device
If your ChekOne device is not transmitting (a series of green bars in the Information Panel) you
need to do a soft reset of the device. If your device becom es frozen on a single display, error
mes s age, or power up, you need to do a hard reset.
Press DOWN until SETTINGS is highlighted
Press RIGHT to select

When reboot is complete the screen will return to the HOME screen.
Step 1: Remove the rubber battery retainer.
Step 2: Slide battery out part way, and wait 20 seconds .
Step 3: Re-insert battery and retainer.
Screen will dis play the ChekOne logo and Boot------------ will be displayed on the bottom of the
screen.
When reboot is complete the screen will return to the HOME screen.
