IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
SAFETY INFORMATION
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
WARNING: When using electrical appliances especially when children are present,
basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
1. Always ensure the product is unplugged from the outlet and allowed to cool before
adding/removing parts, relocating, or cleaning it. Always unplug the product when
not in use.
2. Do not leave the product unattended while in use.
3. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs when handling product. Use
protective oven mitts or gloves to avoid burns or serious personal injury.
4. Do not immerse the Power Cord, Plug, or Base in water or any other liquid.
5. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer. Allow any
attachments to cool before handling them.
6. Do not place on or near a hot gas stove or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
7. Use extreme caution when moving an appliance containing hot oil or any other hot
liquids.
8. To disconnect the product from the electrical outlet, turn any control to "off", and
then pull directly on the Plug; do not pull on Power Cord.
9. Do not pour water directly into the Base; place water and other contents in the
Stoneware only.
10. Take proper precautions to prevent burns, fire, or personal or property damage as
this appliance generates heat and steam during use.
11. Do not plug or unplug the product from the electrical outlet with a wet hand.
12. Use the product in a well-ventilated area. Keep at least 4-6 inches of space on all
sides to allow adequate air circulation.
13. Discontinue use of the product if the Lid or Stoneware (cook-top) is cracked or
damaged. Cracks in the Stoneware may cause contact with electrical wiring
creating a hazard.
14. Do not clean the product when hot, as the use of a wet sponge/cloth to clean it can
create a steam burn hazard and the use of chemical cleaners on a hot surface can
produce noxious fumes. Always allow the product to cool before cleaning it.
