Whole Wheat Waes
Ingredients:
2 large eggs 1 ¾ cups milk ¼ cup oil 1 tablespoon honey ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (fresh preferred) ¼ teaspoon baking soda 1 ½ cups whole-wheat flour 2 teaspoons baking powder ¼ teaspoon salt Warmed 100% pure maple syrup for serving Fresh fruit for serving
Instructions:
1. Preheat wae maker for 3 to 5 minutes or aer the green light goes on and set browning control to Light browning.
2. In a large mixing bowl whisk together the eggs, milk, oil, honey,
cinnamon, and baking soda until well combined.
3. Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt and whisk together
just until the large lumps disappear.
4. When the wae maker is hot, dab it with a little butter and
then ladle some batter onto the center of the iron. Cook about 3 - 4 minutes each.
5. Keep waes warm until you finish cooking all of them. Top
with pure maple syrup and fruit. Enjoy!

Fluy Gluten Free Waes
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups gluten free all-purpose baking flour 2 tsp baking powder ½ tsp baking soda ½ tsp salt 1 tbsp sugar or ¼ tsp Stevia 1 tbsp oil ¾ cup milk 4 eggs, separated 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Preheat wae maker for 3 to 5 minutes or aer the green light goes on and set browning control to Light browning.
2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and
sugar together. In a separate bowl, whip the egg whites and vanilla until it forms sti peaks or resembles whipping cream.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, yolks and oil. Add the milk
mixture to the dry ingredients and blend together. With a rubber spatula, slowly fold in egg whites with the rest of the ingredients. The entire mix should be light and fluy.
4. Spray wae iron and begin making waes. Cook about 3 - 4
minutes each.

Gluten Free Blueberry Waes
Ingredients:
1 ¾ cups gluten free all-purpose baking flour ½ tsp baking powder ½ tsp sea salt 1 ¾ cups whole milk (organic preferred) 2 eggs 6 tbsp unsalted buttermelted 1 cup blueberries (organic preferred)
Instructions:
1. Preheat wae maker for 3 to 5 minutes or aer the green light goes on and set browning control to Light browning.
2. Mix the dry ingredients - flour, baking powder and salt in a large
bowl.
3. Melt butter in a microwave or gently on the stove. Cool for a few
seconds before mixing with milk and eggs.
4. Mix wet ingredients - milk, eggs and melted butter in a bowl until
blended. Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
5. Pour batter into hot, oiled wae iron and sprinkle berries over the
liquid batter. Cook about 3 - 4 minutes each.
It’s hard to tell that these waes are gluten free as they are very light and fluy. This is a great base recipe for adding fruit such as blueberries or banana slices to or savory ingredients such as Jarlsberg cheese and herbs.

Waed Quesadillas
A quick way to make a quesadilla in your wae maker!
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil 1 poblano pepper, thinly sliced 1 jalapeño, seeded and diced 4 medium flour tortillas 1 to 1 ½ cups reduced fat pepper jack cheese, grated 2 teaspoons taco seasoning mix Light sour cream, for garnish Salsa, for garnish Cilantro, for garnish
Instructions:
1. In a small skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of oil followed by the poblano and jalapeno peppers. Cook for a minute or two until they just start to soen. Season the peppers with a small pinch of salt.
2. Preheat wae maker for 3 to 5 minutes or aer the green light goes on
and set browning control to Dark browning and cut tortillas to fit the wae iron if necessary.
3. Place a tortilla on the wae iron and add a small amount of grated
cheese, followed by about half of the pepper mix. Sprinkle on some taco seasoning mix and another good handful of cheese. Top with a second tortilla and close the wae iron.
4. Cook the quesadilla until the cheese is melted and bubbling out and the
tortilla is lightly browned. Remove quesadilla using a fork or knife, and cut into quarters for easy serving. Garnish with extra salsa, cilantro and sour cream as desired.

Sleel Cut Oat Waes
Ingredients:
2 cups steel cut oats* ¼ cup yogurt 2 ½ cups milk (any kind)
½ tsp sea salt ½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder 2 tbsp brown sugar 4 tbsp unsalted butter ¼ cup flaxseed meal 2 eggs (optional: you can use an egg substitute or more flax seeds)
Instructions:
1. Preheat wae maker for 3 to 5 minutes or aer the green light goes on and set browning control to Dark browning.
2. Combine steel cut oats, yoghurt and milk and soak these together
in a blender overnight.
3. Add salt, cinnamon, baking powder, brown sugar, butter, ground
flax seed and eggs or egg substitute to oat mixture. Blend together until smooth. A high quality blender is needed or you can divide the batter in half and blend one half at a time.
4. Cook in your wae iron. Top with favorite toppings. Enjoy!

Four Grain Waes
A combination of 4 grains make these waes a winner! Try them soon with your favorite toppings.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp vegetable oil
¼ cup whole wheat pastry flour ¼ cup cornmeal (fine grind)
1 tbsp honey ½ cup brown rice flour 1 ½ tbsp baking powder 1 egg, large, separated ¼ cup organic buckwheat flour 1 cup water
Instructions:
1. Preheat wae maker for 3 to 5 minutes or aer the green light goes on and set browning control to Light browning.
2. Combine flours and baking powder. Separate egg and beat white
until sti.
3. Combine honey and water, egg yolk and vegetable oil.
4. Combine liquid mixture and flours, mixing as little as possible. Fold
in egg white. Mixture will be frothy and should be rather thick.
5. Cook for 3 to 5 min or until golden brown and slightly crispy.
Spray wae maker as needed with cooking spray, this will help avoid sticking. Serve with unsweetened applesauce or your favorite topping. Makes 4 Waes.

Wae Iron Grilled Cheese
A kid-friendly sandwich but any adult who likes a warm cheese-filled sandwich will enjoy it too.
Ingredients:
4 slices so whole-wheat bread 2 tablespoons butter, soened 4 slices reduced fat cheese (example: cheddar or Monterey jack
Instructions:
1. Place a sheet of aluminum foil underneath your wae iron to aid in cleanup, just in case the cheese oozes. Preheat wae maker for 3 to 5 minutes or aer the green light goes on and set browning control to Light browning.
2. Assemble the sandwiches by buttering the outsides of the bread
slices and placing the cheese slices on the insides.
3. When the wae iron is hot, put the sandwiches in the wae iron
and close it. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the undersides are golden brown and the cheese is oozing. Peek once or twice to make sure they are not getting overcooked. No need to flip these because they will cook evenly on both sides.
4. Remove the sandwiches with tongs or a fork and cool slightly.
Makes two sandwiches.

Wae Banana Bread
Ingredients:
1¼ cups all-purpose flour ¾ cup sugar ½ cup chopped walnuts 1 teaspoon baking powder ½ teaspoon baking soda ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon ½ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg ¼ teaspoon fine salt 1 cup smashed banana (2 to 3 small bananas) ½ cup vegetable oil, plus more for brushing wae iron ½ cup sour cream 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 2 large eggs So unsalted butter and confectioners’ sugar, for dusting, optional
Instructions:
Preheat wae maker for 3 to 5 minutes or aer the green light goes on and set browning control to Light browning. Preheat the oven to 200º F (to keep cooked waes warm). Whisk together the flour, sugar, walnuts, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a large bowl. Whisk together the banana, oil, sour cream, vanilla and eggs in another bowl. Fold the banana mixture into the flour mixture until just combined.
Lightly brush the top and bottom of the wae iron with oil. Fill each section about three-quarters of the way full (there should still be some wae iron showing). Close and cook until the waes are golden brown, 4 to 6 minutes. Keep the waes warm in the oven or covered with foil on a plate while you cook the remaining batter. Spread with butter and dust with confectioners’ sugar if you’d like.
Tip: Freeze any leover waes in a Ziploc bag, and reheat them in the toaster.

Wae Falafel
A combination of 4 grains make these waes a winner! Try them soon with your favorite toppings.
Ingredients:
cup vegetable oil, plus more for brushing wae iron 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon kosher salt ½ teaspoon ground coriander ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper 2 large egg whites 2 cloves garlic, halved 1 can (15-ounces) chickpeas, rinsed 4 pita breads, halved ¼ cup store-bought hummus Hot sauce to taste Lettuce, tomato, onions, cucumber, pickles, hard-boiled eggs are optional
Instructions:
1. Preheat wae maker for 3 to 5 minutes or aer the green light goes on and set browning control to Light browning.
2. Combine in a food processor the oil, cilantro, flour, parsley, baking powder,
cumin, salt, coriander, cayenne, egg whites, garlic and pulse until smooth.
3. Lightly brush the top and bottom of the wae iron with oil. Fill the wae iron
about three-quarters of the way full (some wae iron should still be showing). Close the lid gently and cook until the falafel is golden brown and firm in the center, 6 to 10 minutes. Keep the cooked falafels warm in the oven or covered with foil on a plate while you make the remaining falafels.
4. To build the sandwiches, stu each pita half with a falafel. Add your choice of
toppings, drizzle with the hummus and sprinkle with a few dashes of hot sauce.
Tip: Preheat the oven to 200º F (to keep cooked waes warm). Chopped lettuce, sliced tomato, onions, cucumber, pickles, and hard-boiled eggs are great toppings.

Waed Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted ½ cup plus 2 tablespoons firmly packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup unbleached all-purpose flour ½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup old-fashioned rolled oats ¾ cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Preheat wae maker for 3 to 5 minutes or aer the green light goes on and set browning control to ½ way between Light and Dark browning.
2. In a bowl, whisk the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
3. Add the eggs and vanilla, whisk to incorporate.
4. Fold in the flour, baking soda, and salt.
5. Add the oats and chocolate chips and stir to combine.
6. Spray the wae iron with nonstick cooking spray.
7. Using a spoon or small scoop, place the dough onto each wae section.
Close the machine and cook until the cookies are set and beginning to brown. Probably two or three minutes, they will be so when you remove them and will firm up as they cool.
8. Transfer the cooked cookies to a wire rack to cool.
Tip: The cook time will vary on how much batter you put in the wae maker, test one cookie to get the perfect cook time.
