IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces; use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons, DO NOT IMMERSE CORD
OR PLUG in water or other liquids.
4. This appliance should not be used near children.
5. unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before cleaning appliance.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance has
malfunctioned or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance by calling 888-315-8407 for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. Do not let power cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
9. Do not place on or near hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
10. Always unplug the unit when finished using.
11. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
12. Extreme caution must be exercised when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot
liquids.
13. To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet.

SPECIAL CORD SET INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. No use-serviceable parts inside. Do not attempt to service this product. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting form entanglement or tripping over a longer cord. An extension cord may be used with care; however, the marked electrical rating should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. The extension cord should not be allowed to drape over the counter or tabletop whether children can pull it on or tripped over.
NOTICE: POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug dose not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still dose not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet, or if the AC outlet feels warm do not use that outlet.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Congratulations on buying your new Chefman Panini Press.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove all packaging materials and any promotional labels or stickers from your grill. You may want to keep the box and packing materials for use at a later date.
-- Wipe the non-stick cooking plate with a clean wet cloth, and wipe dry with a clean dry cloth. DO NOT
IMMERSE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID
-- Check that the drip tray is clean, place under oil drip of bottom plate.
-- Brush with a little cooking oil.
-- The appliance may give off some smoke when you use it for the first time. This is normal.
HOW TO USE YOUR PANINI PRESS
1. Unlock the plates by gliding the clip.
2. Connect the plug to the main socket. The power on light (red) will come on.
3. Preheat the unit with the machine closed, when the ready light (green) comes on, the correct cooking temperature is reached.
4. Use the handle to lift the upper plate and place food on the bottom cooking plate by using wooden or plastic (heat resistant) utensils.
5. Close the upper plate. Do not apply any pressure.
6. When finished, carefully open the unit and remove the food by using wooden or plastic (heat resistant) utensils.
8. Unplug the Panini Press and allow it to cool down when finished cooking.
CAUTION: Do not touch hot surfaces, always use the handle. NOTE: Do not attempt to use the locking clip to lock the upper plate when there is food between the
plates. Do not use metal utensils as they will scratch and damage the non-stick coating.

COOKING TIPS
-- The cooking times will depend on the type, thickness and volume of foods.
-- Do not cook frozen food and do not attempt to defrost frozen food in the grill. All food must be fully and completely defrosted before cooking.
CLEANING
-- Disconnect your appliance from the main supply and allow cooling completely before cleaning.
-- Use a damp towel to remove stubborn stains.
-- Wipe all surfaces with a clean, damp cloth.
NOTE: DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID
-- Lock the plates by gliding the clip.
-- Wash the drip tray in warm, soapy water or place in the top rack of the dishwasher
STORAGE
Always make sure the panini press is cool and dry before storing.
1. Wind the cord round the cord storage facility
2. The appliance can be stored in vertical or horizontal position.
