Unpacking Instructions
Immediately upon rec eiving a fixture, c arefully unpack the carton, check the contents to ensure that
all parts are present, and have been received in good condition. Notify the shipper immediately and
retain packing material for inspection if any parts appear damaged from shipping or the carton itself
shows signs of mishandling. Save the carton and all packing materials. In the event that a fixture
must be returned to the factory, it is important that the fixture be returned in the original factory box
and packing.

AC Power
This fixture runs on 100~240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Before powering on the unit, make sur e the line voltage
to which you are connecting it is within the range of accepted voltages.
Always conne ct the fixt ure to a switc he d circ uit. Ne ver co nne ct t he fixt ure to a rheostat
(variable resistor) or dimmer circuit, even if the rheostat or dimmer channel is used only as a 0
to 100% switch.
To determine the power requirements for a particular fixture, see the label affixed to the back plate of
the fixture or refer to the fixture’s specific ations c hart. A fixture’s listed current rating indic ates its
average current draw under normal conditions.
Always conne ct the fixt ure to a circuit wi th a suitable electrical ground.
Power Linking
This fixture contains power linking via the edis on outlet located in front of the power input cable.
Please s ee the diagram below for further explanation.
The maximum quantity of fixtures that may be linked is 30.

Rigging
Be sure that the structure can support the weight of the fixture. P lease see the “Technical
Specific ations” section of this manual for a detailed weight listing. Mount the fixtur e securely. This
may be done with a screw, nut and bolt, or a hanging clamp. The bolt in each bracket is 13 mm in
size. W hen rigging, consider r outine maintenanc e and c ontrol panel access. Please see the f ollowing
steps f or installation.
•If the power link out is intended to be used with multiple fixture, take into account the length
of each power cable, and mount the fixtur es close enough to one another to accommodate
for this.
•When aiming the fixtures, you may use the bracket adjustment knobs . Loos en the knob,
adjust to the desired angle, and then tighten the knob by turning clockwise. Do not use
tools for this step, as it may caus e damage.
•There are 2 different methods of mounting this fixtur e. This fixture may be used with a
tripod stand (sold separately), or it may be mounted to a structure using hanging clamps.
• Saf et y c ab les must always be used.
• 2 clamps, one on either mounting position, must be used if using clamps mounted directly

Configuring the Starting Address
Control Panel Functions
Eac h f ixture requires a starting address from 1~512. A fixture requiring one or more channels for
control begins to read the data on the channel indicated by the st arting addr ess. For example, a
fixture that us es seven DMX channels and is address ed to start on DMX channel 100, will read data
from channels: 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105 and 106. Choose the starting address es for each fixture
so that the channels used do not overlap. In addition, you should note the starting address selected
for future ref erence.
The 4PLAY™ fixture us es six DMX channels. If this is your first time using DMX, we rec ommend
reading the “DMX Primer” s ection in the “Appendix”.

Back of each light
The 4PLAY™ has 4 lights which must all be addressed. While these lights come preaddressed from th e f ac tory,
the section below demonstr ates how to address them. This is important, so that they will operate properly.
Please see the instructions and drawings below for further details on how to set the DIP switches on each light.
Addressing:
Light #1: set only DIP switch #1 to the ON position
Light #2: set only DIP switch #2 to the ON position
Light #3: set only DIP switch #3 to the ON position
Light #4: set only DIP switch #4 to the ON position
Duplicating these address es will cause the main light show to malfunction.

General Maintenance
To maintain optimum performance and minimize wear, fixtures should be cleaned fr equently. Usage
and environment are contributing factors in determining fr equenc y. As a general rule, fixtures should
be clean ed at least twice a month. Dust build up reduces light output performance and can c ause
overheating. This can lead to reduced lamp life and increased mechanical wear. Be sure to power off
fixture before conducting maintenance.
• Unplug fixture from power.
• Use a vacuum or air compr essor and a soft brush to remove dust collected on external
vents.
•Clean all glass when the fixture is cold with a mild solution of glass cleaner or Isopropyl
Alcohol and a s oft lint free cotton cloth or lens tissue.
• Apply s olution to the cloth or tissue and drag dirt and grime to the outside of the lens.
• Gently polish optical surf aces until they are f ree of haze and lint.
The cleaning of external optical lenses and/or mirrors must be carried out periodic ally to optimize light
output. C leaning frequency depends on the environment in which the fixture operates. Damp, smoky
or particularly dirty surroundings can cause greater accumulation of dirt on the unit’s optics. Clean
with soft cloth using normal glass cleaning fluid. Clean the external optics at least every 20 days.
Clean the fixture at least every 30/60 days.
Always dry the parts carefully after cleaning them.
Never spin a fan using compressed air.
