Before the initial start-up, please unpack and carefully check all components in case any damage may have occurred during shipment.
Locate a suitable location for installation where there is good ventilation. Make certain that the fan or vents are not blocked.
Protect our enviroment! Please dispose of packacking material properly.
The electrical work that may be necessary for installation must be done by qualified personnel.
Always remember to unplug the unit from the main power before any service is done.
Do not open the unit other than to replace the lamp. There are no serviceable parts inside.
It is very important to ground the yellow / green conductor to earth in order to meet regulations for safety.
Check the surrounding area and make sure that there are no flammable liquids, water or metal objects that could enter the fix-

DMX Channels
Sound Active Mode
In the absence of a DMX signal, the Omega II will automatically go into sound activation. The first unit in the system will become the master and all other units will be slave units. In sound activaation, the dip switch settings are irrelevant. The Omega II will shut off automatically in a few seconds if no DMX signal or sound is received.
Sound activation may also be accessed via your DMX controller. If channel 1is set between 250-255, the Omega II will run sound activated.
Pan & Tilt Inversion
The pan and tilt may be inverted by use of dip switch #10. By setting dip switch #10 on for 1 unit and off for another, the Omega II’s will move in opposite directions. This is a very useful feature in creating an interesting show.
LED DMX Indicator
When a DMX signal is present, the blue LED will pulsate rapidly. In sound activation, the led will pulsate to the beat of the music.
CH-X Blackout Controller
The CH-X blackout controller may be used whenever the Omega II is run in sound activation. Simply plug the 1/4” plug into the jack on the top of the unit. Press the button twice and the OMega II will go into blackout. Press again twice and the program will resume. The CH-X will not operate when a DMX signal is present.

Installation / Mounting
This unit has been designed to be hung. It is recommended that, for safety purposes, your lighting effect be properly mounted using a suitable hanging clamp and safety cable. CHAUVET offers a range of items, which are ideal for safe mounting.
Use in a well-ventilated area without obstruction to the vents or fan.
Replacing Fuses
If the unit does not function at all when connected to the main power supply i.e. does not illuminate after replacing the lamp. Then it is highly likely that the fuse has blown. Disconnect from main power supply before attempting to replace either lamps or fuse.
In order to replace the fuse, disconnect from the main power supply first, and then pry up the fuse holder cover to reveal the fuse. The unit has a label attached which indicates the correct fuse rating and you will also find this listed as part of the specifications for the unit later in this guide. It is most important that replacement fuses are of the correct rating. Failure to use the correct fuse could damage the lighting effect beyond economic repair.
The fuse should simply be placed inside the holder and the fuse holder replaced. When this is done, connect to the main power supply to check. If the unit is still not working then please contact CHAUVET for servicing.
