Unpacking Instructions

Immediately upon receiving a fixture, carefully unpack the carton, check the contents to ensure that all parts are present, and have been received in good condition. Notify the shipper immediately and retain packing material for inspection if any parts appear damaged from shipping or the carton itself shows signs of mishandling. Save the carton and all packing materials. In the event that a fixture must be returned to the factory, it is important that the fixture be returned in the original factory box and packing.

AC Power

To determine the power requirements for a particular fixture, see the label affixed to the back plate of the fixture or refer to the fixture’s specifications chart. A fixture’s listed current rating is its average current draw under normal conditions. All fixtures must be powered directly off a switched circuit and cannot be run off a rheostat (variable resistor) or dimmer circuit, even if the rheostat or dimmer channel is used solely for a 0% to 100% switch. Before applying power to a fixture, check that the source voltage matches the fixture’s requirement.
Check the fixture or device carefully to make sure that if a voltage selection switch exists that it is set to the correct line voltage you will use.
Warning! Verify that the power select switch on your unit matches the
line voltage applied. All fixtures must be connected to circuits with a suitable Earth Ground.

Not all fixtures have a voltage select switch. Please be sure to connect to the proper voltage.

INTRODUCTION

Your LG-3355 is very unique! You may notice that the beams coming out of the projector are larger than the 4.95mW projectors. There is a very distinct reason for this. Unlike 4.95mW projectors the output of the CHAUVET laser projectors with Fatbeam™ technology inside outputs <20mW for each beam. Normally outputs greater than 4.95mW require a variance from the FDA. This product has been designed to meet a special classification of ClassIIIa. Under this classification with the Fat Beam technology the acceptable energy levels (AEL) have been met. Therefore the maximum potential exposure to the unaided eye is less than 4.95mW for a static beam. Additionally the (MPE) or Maximum Permissible Exposure with this product is below acceptable levels for hum ocular or tissue exposure.

Features

10mW Fatbeam™ Laser technology produces 10-14mm beam which complies with IEC Safety Standards under ClassIIIa

Product Overview

Infrared sensor (front). User can now select from 2 Infrared sensor locations (front) or the (rear).

General Instructions

This fixture is designed to operate as a stand-alone unit or master/slave link. Linking the units in master/slave connection, the first unit will control the other units to give an automatic sound activated synchronized light show. This function is good when you want an instant show. Plug in the unit and turn the ON/OFF switch to ON position, the unit will work. It will turn off the laser diode automatically when the music stops after 7 seconds or no signal input.
DANGER: Laser Radiation emitted from this aperture.
Before connecting the unit to AC power, make certain that the front aperture is pointed away from you or others.
AC Power Connection:
The unit is supplied with a power plug appropriate to its voltage and destination. Should any other connections be required they must be carried out with the following configuration.
Earth = Green/Yellow cable Neutral = Blue cable Live = Brown cable

1) On/Off switch: Turn on/off the unit.
2) Power cord: This connection supplies main power to the fixture. Be sure the main power
matches the required power of your fixture.
3) Fuse holder: This housing stores the protective fuse. Always replace with the extra same type
fuse. Replacement with anything other than the specified part may damage your unit.
4) Red LED: Power indicator, Blue LED: Sound indicator.
5) Master/Slave Mode: Select the master/slaver mode.
6) Signal input/output: uses a 3.5mm stereo microphone cable to link the unit together for
master/slave link.
7) AC voltage selector switch
8) Infrared sensor (rear or front) selector switch

Master/Slave Operation

Note: Maximum linking in Master/Slave mode is 8 fixtures.
1) Turn Off all projectors.
2) Connect up to 8 fixtures using a daisy chain method. From the signal output of the first projector
to the signal input of the following projector and then repeat for the following projectors.
3) Set the Master/Slave switch on the first unit in the daisy chain to Master and turn this projector
ON before all other projectors. Important: Turn Master unit On First otherwise link will not be consistent.
4) On all remaining units set the Master/Slave switch to Slave then turn those projectors on.
