4. First aid measures
FIRST AID MEASURES
Eye Contact
Skin contact
Inhalation
Ingestion
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Note to physicians
Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact
lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control
center or doctor for treatment advice.
Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20
minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advise.
If overcome by vapor, move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an
ambulance, then provide artifical respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth, if possible. Call a
poison control center or doctor for further treatment advise.
Ingestion from an aerosol product is unlikely to occur.
Prolonged contact with skin may cause allergic reactions on some individuals. Harmful if
inhaled.
Contains petroleum distillates, do not induce vomiting because of aspiration neumonia
hazard.
5. Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media
CO2 (Carbon Dioxide), dry chemical, or water fog.
Unsuitable extinguishing media
Specific hazards arising from the chemical
Vapors are heavier than air and may travel along the ground and be ignited by pilot lights, other flames, sparks, heaters, smoking
or other ignition sources.
Hazardous combustion products
Explosion data
Sensitivity to Mechanical Impact
Sensitivity to Static Discharge
Protective equipment and precautions for firefighters
As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) and full
protective gear.
Caution: Use of water spray when fighting fire may be inefficient.
Thermal decomposition may yield gases like carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrofluoric
acid and carbonyl halides.
Contents under pressure, keep away from heat and open flame.
Keep away from heat, sparks, flame and other sources of ignition (i.e., pilot lights, electric
motors and static electricity).
6. Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Personal precautions
For emergency responders
Environmental precautions
Use with adequate general or local exhaust ventilation.
Remove all sources of ignition.
