Chase Doors makes the job of hanging strip doors even easier with our new Econo Max
QuickStripTM strip door curtain system. The QuickStrip is the choice for easy installation,
and is designed to allow strips to be installed and replaced easily without the use of
tools. Fasten the galvanized strip door bracket to the wall, and put your tools away!
Hang individual strips to the door bracket and the job is done. No more time consuming
layout, measuring or overlap guesswork. Face plates, strip clips, nuts and washers have
been eliminated.

don’t even need to measure,
or calculate the overlap.

hang and you’re done!

PART 1 – GENERAL
1.1 SECTION INCLUDES - PVC Strip Door and
Curtain Systems
PART 2 – PRODUCTS
2.1 MANUFACTURER –PVC Strip Door and Curtain
System to be model Econo Max QuickStrip by Chase
Industries, Inc. (DBA Chase Doors).
2.2 DOOR COMPONENTS—Strip material shall be
8” wide PVC strip curtain material [Standard Clear,
Loc-Rib, USDA Low Temp, Anti-Static, Amberweld,
Safety Orange, Black Colorview, Blue Colorview,
Green Colorview]. Strips to overlap 2” per side and
1” overlap past each end bracket. Strips shall be
pre-punched to allow ease of installation.
2.3 MOUNTING HARDWARE –Doors shall utilize a
galvanized steel corrosion resistant bracket for wall
mount. Bracket shall have punched and formed
tabs.
2.4 FABRICATION –Provide strip door assemblies
manufactured as integral units ready for assembly
and installation. Mounting Bracket: For metal
surface exposed to view in completed work,
provide materials with smooth flat surface without
blemishes. Do not use materials with exposed
pitting, seam marks, roller marks, rolled trade
names or roughness. PVC Strip Curtain: Provide
PVC Strip cut to size, of clear material without
blemishes, scratches or irregularities. Material
thickness to be not more than .008 under specified
thickness, and more than 1/8” under in standard
material width.
Product Details – Material Options
Standard –Our clear PVC strips are designed for use
in most walk-in coolers or in doorways at ambient
temperatures with personnel, cart, pallet jack and light
forklift traffic.
USDA Low Temp –Clear PVC formulated to remain
pliable in food service freezer temperatures; also for use
in areas where USDA accepted material is required.
Loc-RibTM –Our standard and USDA grade PVC strips can
be fabricated with “locking” ribs to seal against air flow
in cooler or freezer temperatures. Ribs also preserve strip
clarity by absorbing abrasions.
ColorviewTM –We add windows to attractive opaque
colored strip doors by RF welding clear sections into the
center of the strips. Available in black, blue and green.
Safety Orange –Call attention to the door jambs with
safety orange strips.
Anti-Static –Clear strip formulated to dissipate static
electricity harmlessly away from personnel or sensitive
equipment.
Amberweld –Specially formulated to screen out UV and
near UV rays from welding and brazing flash.
PART 3 –EXECUTION
3.1 INSTALLATION –Install doors in accordance with
Chase Doors installation instructions and standards.
