Tips to Make Your Project Go Smoothly
1. First things first: Don’t hang any wallpaper on a dirty wall, Use mild soap, hot water and a sponge to scrub away dust and grime.
2. If you are hanging it on a freshly painted wall make sure that you let the paint fully dry and cure for a
3. Before you start hanging, size out strips of wallpaper to fit the height of the wall. Leave at least a half inch at the bottom and the top. Double-check your measurements it’s important to get this step right.
4. Next, cut these wallpaper sections with your razor blade. Make sure the blade is sharp so the paper cuts clean, with no ragged edges. Change the blades as you go to maintain precision.
5. Take your time and don’t rush. This is a very easy project to do. But make sure you allow time to get
the job done right.
6. If you are hanging a pattern horizontally or Vertically, make sure you have help. Doing it alone might
be challenging. You’ll need someone to hold the roll of paper as you are working on one end.
7. Before you hang your first wallpaper strip, use a level and a pencil to draw a straight line in the
middle of the wall. This gives you a guideline for how to hang the first piece, then the subsequent strips will be hung according to the position of the first.
8. Take the time to smooth out the bubbles. Just like regular wallpaper you’ll get bubbles as you are
working with it. Pull up the wallpaper reapply it then smooth it out with your hands.
9. When apply wallpaper to a family room , and there is two windows to deal with. At the top of the
wall measure the space between the ceiling and the top of the window. Then cut out the piece you
needed making it a little longer. It’s always better to make sure you have enough paper. You don’t
want to hang a piece and find out it’s too short.
10. Always start in a corner and work your way towards the center.
11. Make sure as you are hanging your wallpaper to get it as straight as possible. Walls are never even.
Cut the excess off with your knife.
