Chariot Multi-Functional Handlebar Console Instruction

Multi Functional Handlebar Console
Congratulations on purchasing Chariot’s Handlebar Console accessory – a multifunction console used for extra storage while on the carrier, or just clip off to be used as a shoulder bag!
The Handlebar Console is compatible with 2005 and newer Chariots. These Chariots can be identified by the presence of a plastic buckle sewn on the upper rear center of the carrier’s weather cover.
A. Preparing the Handlebar Console for Mounting to the Carrier
1. The Handlebar Console is shipped ready to mount onto the carrier. If the shoulder strap has been
extended, follow the steps below to prepare the Handlebar Console for mounting on the carrier.
2. Pull the top and bottom strap keepers to the shortest adjustment as shown in Figure 1a.
3. Pull the upper tri-glide on the side release buckles to the top of the strap on the bag side of the strap
as shown in Figure 1b.

2. Secure the front of the Handlebar Console to the buckle on the back of the carrier’s cover as shown in

C. Using the Handlebar Console as a Shoulder Bag
1. The Handlebar Console is shipped ready to be used on the carrier. The shoulder strap is pulled up into
the shortest position. When the Handlebar Console is removed from the carrier and is used as a shoulder bag, the top of the bag is the end with two buckles.
2. Adjust the length of the strap by sliding the straps through the top and bottom strap keepers and side
release buckle. See Figure 3a & b.
3. The side release buckle can be used for easier wearing of the shoulder bag.
4. The shoulder bag strap can be adjusted for right or left side wearing. To move the strap from side to
side, unhook the gate keeper connector as shown in Figure 4a.
5. Move the strap and gate keeper to the desired side and slide the gate keeper through the loop as shown in
Figure 4b. Re-latch the hook as shown in Figure 4c.
