SIP based IP Intercom with room to room communication utilizing 1 Cat5 wire. Communication works with every Channel Vision front door IP intercom. This cost effective 4.3″ screen features hands free communication and high quality full motion video of the visitor at the front door. Simple push button hard key allows you to release the door strike from any station without scrolling through the menu.

PRE-NETWORK SETTINGS
- Connect your IP room station to your switch or router via cat5e or cat6, then launch the CVT
Upgrade Tool (This tool is on http://channelvision.com/support/product-support/firmware-software/).
Click on the search button to find the IP address of your door station. 192.168.1.230 by default.
- Verify your computer's LAN settings from a command prompt. The easiest way to get to a command prompt on a Windows system is to press win+R on your ke yboard. (Hold the windows key down and then press R).
- After pressing the win+R key combination, you will type “cmd” and press OK to get to the command prompt.

- Once In the command prompt you will type “ipconfig” and press enter to find the IP information of your LAN (your IP address, Subnet mask, default Gateway).
- Make sure you write down your IP address, your network mask and your default gateway (router address) so you can reference them later.
- Compare your IP address (pictured above) with the IP address of your room station (pictured below). If the first three octets (192.168.1.x) of your computer match the first three octets (192.168.1.x) of your room station you can proceed to step 4.
- If they don't match, you can refer to the “changing network settings” portion of this manual. Default IP address of the ST-3048 is 192.168.1.230, and for the ST -3048 is 192.168.1.220.
Note: Do not proceed to step 3 until you have verified your computer and room station are on the same network.

2. ACCESSING AND CONFIGURING THE USER INTERFACE
- Open a Web browser, type the IP address of your room station into the address bar at the top and press enter to access the user interface. For ST-3048 the default IP is 192.168.1.240.
- Enter your user name and password to access the user interface. The default user name is “admin”
and default password is “123456”

3. NETWORK SETTINGS
DHCP: leave the DHCP box unchecked, we want to leave the room station on a static
address to access it later to make any necessary changes.
IP: enter an IP address for your room station to use in your network. (refer to pre-network settings info) Mask: 255.255.255.0 The subnet mask of your network. Gateway: 192.168.1.1 The IP address of your router. DNS: 8.8.8.8 or enter the same DNS address that you are using on your local network (you can find the
DNS address your network is using by typing “ipconfig /all” into a command).

TOUCH SCREEN ROOM SETTINGS
Build: 1-99. (Must match SI-8000 device settings) Unit: 1-99. (Must match SI-8000 device settings) Floor: 2 digits, 11 is default: (Must match SI-8000 device settings) Room: 2 digits. (If a particular configuration is needed, see sections 4.1 or 4.2.) Device: Must start with 0-9 and not have 2 devices with the same number including mobile phones. Sync: used to sync any additional room stations together to communicate with each other. Server: when using management software for MDU’s otherwise this will be the router address. Password: The password used to login to a management server.
For the multiple screens in the installation, we have 2 different options to intercommunicate with each screen.

VOIP SETTINGS:
First, the SIP box must be checked
to configure this part, as shown:
Proxy: URL of your SIP server. For the mobile visualization of the Door Stations , we will use the Linphone app, is an open source SIP Server, so the parameters that fit in this part is: sip:
sip.linphone.org.
Realm: URL of the domain your SIP Authentication server is on. It will use sip.linphone.org. Outbound: URL of your outbound proxy server. It will use sip: sip.linphone.org. STUN IP: URL of the STUN Server. For this case, will use sip.linphone.org.
STUN Port: Port used to setup phone calls to a VOIP provider outside the local network. You should use 5060 as a default port. User: Is the user name for your SIP account from the linphone.org website . Password: Use the password for your SIP account from the linphone.org website.
NOTE: This is only for the room stations. All mobile phones and Touchscreen Room Stations must have their own Linphone account. Think of this as an individual phone number or extension.
Timeout: Amount of time in seconds the door station will attempt to make a call (120-1800s).
Select “Submit” button to confirm settings.

To con firm that the VOIP is set up correctly, in the “MAIN” section you will see the SIP Text is OK as a shown:

Quick Call: Enter the URL of a device to be
called when you press the “Center” button on
the call screen (Figure 3-1).
DTMF Unlock: Check the box to activate
(DTMF) Dual Tone Multi Frequency u nlock
(Unlock with a code typed into a keypad).
DTMF: Enter the code to be used to unlock the door from a keypad.

7. Website Settings
Advertising: Enter the URL of a web page you want to advertise on the screen saver and select the
box above.
Browser: enter a web address that you want the BROWSER icon to navigate to. Mall: enter a web address that you want the MALL icon to navigate to. GOV: enter a web address that you want the GOV icon to navigate to. Cook: enter a web address that you want the COOK icon to navigate to. MAP: enter a web address that you want the MAP icon to navigate to.

Mounting the intercom to a wall using a 2 gang box
1. Mount a 2 gang box
2. Run cat5 or cat6 network cable through bracket hole
3. Run 2 conductor power wire (if not using POE switch) through bracket hole
4. Secure top and bottom screws with drywall anchor if necessary
5. Slide touch screen from top down on the mount

Channel Vision Technology will repair or replace any defect in material or workmanship which occurs during normal use of this product with new or rebuilt parts, free of charge in the USA, for one year from the date of original purchase. This is a no hassle warranty with no mail in
warranty card needed. This warranty does not cover damages in shipment, failures caused by other products not supplied by Channel Vision Technology, or failures due to accident, acts of God, misuse, abuse, or alteratio n of the equipment. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser when purchased through an authorized reseller.
A purchase receipt, invoice, or other proof of original purchase date will be required before warranty repairs are provided.
Mail in service can be obtained during the warranty period by calling (714) 424-6500. A Return Authorization number must be obtained in advance and can be marked on the outside of the shipping carton.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights (which vary from state to state). If a problem with this product
develops during or after the warranty period, please contact Channel Vision Technology, your dealer or any factory-authorized service center.
