Auger/Post Hole Digger
This unit is a gasoline engine driven
Auger/Post Hole Digger. It is designed to
dig post holes. Engine is shipped without oil
and requires oil SAE10w-30 motor oil before
starting. Before starting the engine fill the
hydraulic tank with 10W AW 32 anti wear
hydraulic fluid (3.9 gal/15 L)
Record the model and serial numbers as well as date and place of purchase for future reference.

DO NOT remove hitch pin or Auger Pin when the
engine is running.

WARNING
Read this manual thoroughly before operating
your Auger/Post Hole Digger. Failure to follow
instructions could result in serious injury or
death.
WARNING
The engine exhaust from this product contains
chemicals known to the state of California to
cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive
harm.
Keep hands and feet away from rotating parts.
Tie up long hair and remove jewelry.
Operate equipment with guards in place.
DO NOT wear loose-fitting clothing, dangling
drawstrings or items that could become caught.
WARNING
Sparks can result in fire or electrical shock.
When servicing the engine:
Disconnect the spark plug wire and place it
where it cannot contact the plug.
DO NOT check for spark with the plug removed.
Use only approved spark plug testers.
WARNING
DANGER
Auger/Post Hole Digger engine exhaust contains
carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poison
gas. Breathing carbon monoxide will cause
nausea, dizziness, fainting or death. If you start
to feel dizzy or weak, get to fresh air
immediately.
Operate Auger/Post Hole Digger outdoors only in
a well ventilated area.
DO NOT operate the Auger/Post Hole Digger
inside any building, enclosure or compartment.
DO NOT allow exhaust fumes to enter a confined
area through windows, doors, vents or other
openings.
DANGER CARBON MONOXIDE, using a
Auger/Post Hole Digger indoors CAN KILL YOU IN MINUTES.

Running engines produce heat.
Severe burns can occur on contact.
Combustible material can catch fire on contact.
DO NOT touch hot surfaces.
Avoid contact with hot exhaust gases.
Allow equipment to cool before touching.
Maintain at least three feet of clearance on all
sides to ensure adequate cooling.
Maintain at least five feet of clearance from
combustible materials.
WARNING
Skin Injection Hazard. High pressure hydraulic
oil can inject under your skin.
Make sure all fittings are tightly secure before
applying pressure. Relieve system of pressure
before servicing.
WARNING
Rotating parts can entangle hands, feet, hair,
clothing and/or accessories.
Traumatic amputation or severe laceration can
result.
Rotating Hazard
Entanglement in Auger/Post Hole Digger will
cause serious injury or death. Keep away from
Auger when engine is running.

WARNING
Cables and Pipelines Hazard
Auger/Post Hole Digger will cut through buried
electrical cables and gas pipelines resulting in
serious injury or death. Contact your local utilities
company before drilling holes in the ground.
WARNING
Incline Hazard
Do not operate machine on hills or inclines that
are steeper than 15 degrees.
Machine can roll away and tip over.
WARNING
Projectile Hazard
Rock, dirt, and debris may fly out of work area.
Wear safety glasses and protective clothing.
Keep bystanders away from work area.
WARNING
Towing Hazard
When adding or removing fuel
Turn the engine off and let it cool for at least two
minutes before removing the fuel cap. Loosen
the cap slowly to relieve pressure in the tank.
Only fill or drain fuel outdoors in a well-ventilated
area.
DO NOT overfill the fuel tank.
Always keep fuel away from sparks, open flames,
pilot lights, heat and other sources of ignition.
DO NOT light or smoke cigarettes.
When starting the engine
DO NOT attempt to start a damaged engine.
Make certain that the gas cap, air filter, spark
plug, fuel lines and exhaust system are properly
in place.
Allow spilled fuel to evaporate fully before
attempting to start the engine.
When storing the Auger/Post Hole
Digger:
Store away from sparks, open flames, pilot lights,
heat and other sources of ignition.
WARNING
Rapid retraction of the starter cord will pull hand
and arm towards the engine faster than you can
let go.
Unintentional startup can result in entanglement,
traumatic amputation or laceration.
Broken bones, fractures, bruises or sprains could
result.
Review towing safety warnings in your towing
vehicle manual.
Drive safely. Be aware of the added length of the
Auger/Post Hole Digger.
NEVER ride or transport cargo on the Auger/Post
Hole Digger.
Choose a level surface to operate the Auger/Post
Hole Digger.
NEVER EXCEED MAX. Towing Speed 45 MPH
When starting engine, pull the starter cord slowly
until resistance is felt and then pull rapidly to
avoid kickback.
CAUTION
Improper treatment or use of the Auger/Post
Hole Digger can damage it, shorten its life and
void your warranty.
DANGER
Use the Auger only for intended uses.
Fuel and fuel vapors are highly flammable and
extremely explosive.
Fire or explosion can cause severe burns or
death.
Unintentional startup can result in entanglement,
traumatic amputation or laceration.

Operate only on level surfaces.
DO NOT expose Auger engine to excessive
moisture, dust, or dirt.
DO NOT allow any material to block the cooling
slots.

Equipment sparks, smokes or emits flames

Auger/Post Hole Digger
(1)Trigger – The trigger is used to start,
stop, and reverse the Auger bit.
(2) Emergency Stop Button –
Emergency engine stop button.
(3) Auger Handle – Tilt control for Auger
bit.
(4) Hydraulic Motor – Spins Auger bit.
(5) Control Valve – Directs the hydraulic
oil to the hydraulic motor.
(6) Work port Hydraulic hoses – These
hoses carry the hydraulic oil from the
control valve to the hydraulic motor.
(7) Pivot bolt – Adjust pivot bolt to rotate
the Auger bit and handle when drilling on a
slope.

(8) Hydraulic Oil Breather Cap –
Remove cap to fill hydraulic tank with oil.
(9) Engine – 270cc Gasoline driven
engine.
(10) 2” Ball Coupler – Attaches the Auger
to your vehicle.
(11) Engine Pivot – Allows engine to
swing freely when operating Auger.
