IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using your electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed inclu­ding the following:

1. Read all instructions carefully.

2. Do not touch hot surfaces, use handles or knobs.

3. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or main body in water or any
other liquid.

4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

5. Unplug from outlet when out in use and before cleaning.

6. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,
or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service
facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.

8. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cau­se injury.

9. Do not use outdoors.

10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or heated oven.

12. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other liquids.

13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

14. The appliance must not be immersed in water.

15. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.

16. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

17. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from
the manufacture or its service agent.

18. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or

similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.

- This unit is only for household use.

- Preheating the appliance is not necessary.

Operating instructions

CAUTIONS TO READ BEFORE USING CHRK210:

1. Only use this product with the correct AC voltage outlet. For correct rated voltage see box and
label at the bottom of the unit.

2. Be sure to unplug AC cord when pan is not in cooker, or when cooker is not being used.
Remember the “KEEP WARM” feature operates whenever the cord is plugged in

3. Place the inner pot inside the cooker before operating. Turn the pot gently to right and left.

4. If the switch button is difcult to press to the “cook” position, do not try to force it down. This

difculty usually occurs when inner pot is not fully inserted in cooker or when cooking has just
nished.

5. Place the lid on your inner pot while cooking; keep the lid in place after serving to prevent your
rice from drying out or discoloring.

6. Keep bottom of inner pot and surface of heater plate free of foreign matter to prevent operating
malfunctions.

How to use

1. Use the measuring cup provided in the package to measure and add rice to the inner pot.

2. By measuring cup, add water and rice according to the following standard:

Cups of Raw Rice Water (add to the line on pot)

25 cups 25 -25,5 cups
20 cups 20- 20,5 cups
15 cups 15 – 15,5 cups
14 cups 14 – 14,5 cups
12 cups 12 – 12,5 cups
10 cups 10 – 10,5 cups
8 cups 8 – 8,5 cups
6 cups 6 – 6,5 cups
4 cups 4 – 4,5 cups
2 cups 2 – 2,5 cups

3. Set inner pot in cooker. Place rice and water in inner pot. Close the lid rmly. Turn pan

gently to right and left and close the cover rmly.

4. Plug in power cord. Do not plug in until ready to cook. Otherwise, rice may be spoiled. If pot

is not in cooker, cooking will not begin.

5. Press switch, the “cook” indicator tells you that cooking has started.

6. When the rice is done, the switch will pop up. After the switch pops up, leave covered for at

least 15 minutes to steam rice.

7. Unplug after each use. Grasp the plug, not the cord.

8. When you stew, the water level should not more than 70% of the volume.

9. Do not cover the ventilating hole to avoid scaling.

CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISH OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, COOK ONLY IN REMOVABLE
CONTAINER.

CAUTION: Before cooking, clean the bottom of the inner pot and the surface of the heating
plate. Then turn the pot clockwise and anti-clockwise to ensure that it sits properly
onto the heating plate inside the rice cooker. If not, the rice cooker will not work or
might get damaged.

Maintenance

1. Remove inner pot and lid and wash them in hot soapy water, taking care to rinse completely,
and then dry with a soft cloth.

2. Clean the outside of cooker with a clean damp cloth. Never clean any part of the cooker with
abrasive cleaner. Use a damp cloth or sponge with water and mild dish detergent. Do not sub­merge any part of cooker in water. Wash only inner pot and lid.

3. To clean the heating plate and thermo-control plate, use steel wool to polish or remove any
residue. Then wipe with a damp cloth. Allow to dry completely before re-using. You must keep
the heating plate and thermo-control plate free from any foreign objects; otherwise the cooker
will not operate properly.

4. Improper cleaning of cooker may cause unpleasant odors.

5. Any residue of vinegar or salt may cause pan to corrode.

Warranty

Champion Nordic guarantees that this product is free from manufacturing defects in
terms of materials and workmanship during a period of 2 years in Sweden, Norway,
Denmark and Finland. This warranty period begins on the day the product is purchas­ed or delivered. Champion Nordic has no obligation to repair or replace products that
are not accompanied by a valid proof of purchase. This warranty applies only to pro­ducts purchased and used for home use and does not cover damage resulting from
abuse, failure to comply with the instructions from Champion Nordic, cases in which
the product has been modied or subjected to unauthorized repair, improper packa­ging on the part of the owner, normal wear and tear, or improper handling on the part
of a transport company.

Correct Disposal of this product

This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other
household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the
environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it
responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.

Användningsinstruktioner

FÖRSIKTIGHETSÅTGÄRDER ATT LÄSA INNAN ANVÄNDNING AV CHRK210:

1. Använd denna produkt endast med korrekt växelspänning i uttaget. För korrekt växelspänning,
se förpackning och etikett i botten av enheten.

2. Dra ur kontakten när pannan ej är kokande, eller när kokaren ej används. Kom ihåg “HÅLL
VARM” funktionen är i bruk när kontakten är i.

3. Placera den inre behållaren i kokaren före användning. Vrid behållaren försiktigt till höger och
vänster.

4. Om knappen är svår att trycka till “cook”-positionen, försök att inte tvinga ner den. Detta kan
uppstå när den inre behållaren inte är korrekt placerad i kokaren, eller när tillagningen är avslu­tad.

5. Placera locket på den inre behållaren under tillagning; håll locket på plats efter servering för att
förhindra riset från att torka ut eller missfärgas.

6. Behåll botten av den inre behållaren samt värmeplattans yta fri från främmande material för att
säkerställa att apparaten fungerar felfritt.
