BD-5 controls are interwired with the machine controls for convenient, fully automatic operation. When the conveyor stops, the automatic heating element shutoff switch protects ware from excess heat while the blower continues to operate.
Energy-efficient
The BD-5 conserves heating energy by recirculating the hot air back through the system and using a small, energy-efficient heating element.
Cooler Dishroom
Only a small percentage of the heated air escapes from the BD-5 into the dishroom. When compared to the heat loss into the dishroom from other blower-dryers, the Champion BD-5 provides a cooler, more comfortable working environment and significantly reduces the dishroom air conditioning requirement.

Notes:
For blower-dryer installations, increase dishroom ventilation by 600 cfm. Because of the variation in house-supplied steam pressure, a steam pressure regulating valve (PRV) for incoming steam supply is needed. The steam PRV can be purchased from Champion or obtained locally.
