PASSPORT MAX REMOTE CONTROLS

To prevent possible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH from a moving gate
or garage door:

• ALWAYS keep remote controls out of reach of children. NEVER
permit children to operate, or play with remote controls.

• Activate gate or door ONLY when it can be seen clearly, is properly
adjusted, and there are no obstructions to door travel.

• ALWAYS keep gate or garage door in sight until completely closed.
NEVER permit anyone to cross path of moving gate or door.

INTRODUCTION

The Passport MAX is a credentialed remote control. The Passport MAX
remote control is a versatile remote control that can be used on access
control systems, commercial door operators, gate operators, residential
garage door openers, and external receivers (Models PPWR, 850LM,
860LM, STAR1000) that use Security+ 2.0™ or Security+ (315 Mhz and
390 Mhz) technology. The additional buttons on the remote control can
be programmed to operate up to 3 additional devices such as garage
door openers, light controls, gate operators or access control systems.

NOTE: Passport MAX credentialed remote controls are not compatible
with CPWR, CPWR3, RFMODKT, and RFMODKT3 Passport products.

PROGRAMMING

Depending on your product, the LEARN button or LCD menu will be used
to program the remote control. 

If programming to an access control system or gated entry, contact your
property manager or LiftMaster
programming or operating instructions.

OPTION 2 – SECURITY+ PRODUCTS (315 Mhz and 390 Mhz)

1. Locate the Program
button on the remote
control.

2. To enter the programming mode on the remote control, press the
program button until the LED on the front of the remote control turns
on.

3. Press and release the remote control button you wish to use:

• 2 times if your product is 315 MHz (Purple LEARN button)

• 3 times if your product is 390 MHz (Red/Orange LEARN button)

NOTE: The button color on commercial products may vary.

4. Exit programming mode by pressing any remote control button except
the button that was just programmed.

5. For LEARN button:

• Press and release the LEARN button on your product

For LCD:

• Press the navigation button below

“MENU” to view the Features menu on
the LCD. Use the navigation buttons to
scroll to “PROGRAM”. Select
“REMOTE” to program from the
program menu.

6. Press andhold the remote control button you programmed in Step 3
untilyour product’s programming LED turns off orthe lights flash on
your product.

7. To test, press the programmed button on the remote control and the
product will activate.

1. Locate the LEARN button on your product or the PROGRAM button on
the LCD (if applicable).

2. Press and release the yellow LEARN button on your product or the
PROGRAM button on the LCD. NOTE: The button color on commercial

products may vary.

3. Press andhold the remote control button you wish to use untilyour
product’s programming LED turns off orthe lights flash on your
product.

4. To test, press the programmed button on the remote control and the
product will activate.

OPTION 3 – RE-PROGRAMMING FOR SECURITY+2.0™ PRODUCTS

1. Locate the Program button on the remote control.

2. To enter the programming mode on the remote control, press the
program button until the LED on the front of the remote control turns
on.

3. Press and release the remote control button you wish to use:

• 1 time for SECURITY+2.0™ product (Yellow LEARN button).

4. Exit programming mode by pressing any remote control button except
the button that was just programmed.

5. Press and release the yellow LEARN button on your product or the
PROGRAM button on the LCD. NOTE: The button color on commercial

products may vary.

6. Press andhold the remote control button you programmed in Step 3
untilyour product’s programming LED turns off orthe lights flash on
your product.

7. To test, press the programmed button on the remote control and the
product will activate.

HOW TO USE THE REMOTE CONTROL

Press and hold the button down until the door or gate starts to move.
For key chain remote controls with a proximity sensor, hold the remote
control 1-2" away from the reader face and wait for a confirmation beep
or LED from the reader. Operation of the proximity sensor varies
depending on the access control system. For additional information refer
to the owner’s manual for the access control system.

To prevent possible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH:

• NEVER allow small children near batteries.

• If battery is swallowed, immediately notify doctor.
To reduce risk of fire, explosion or chemical burn:

• Replace ONLY with 3V CR2032 coin batteries.

• DO NOT recharge, disassemble, heat above 212° F (100° C) or
incinerate.

this product that it is free from defect in materials and/or workmanship
for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.

THE REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY

To replace battery, open the case as shown. Insert battery positive side
up (+). Replace the battery with only 3V CR2032 coin cell battery.
Dispose of old battery properly.

INTRODUCTION

L’appareil Passport Max est une télécommande de légitimation. La
télécommande Passport Max est un appareil polyvalent qui peut être
utilisé sur les systèmes à commande d’accès, les actionneurs de porte
commerciale, les ouvre-portes de garage commerciaux et les récepteurs
externes (modèles PPWR, 850LM, 860LM, STAR1000) qui utilisent la
technologie Security+ 2.0™ ou Security+ (315Mhz et 390Mhz) Les
boutons supplémentaires sur la télécommande peuvent être programmés
pour actionner jusqu’à trois appareils supplémentaires comme des ouvre­portes de garage, des commandes d’éclairage, des actionneurs de portail

PROGRAMMATION

Selon votre produit, le bouton d’apprentissage (LEARN) ou le menu de
l’écran à cristaux liquides sera utilisé pour programmer la télécommande.

Pour la programmation d’un système à commande d’accès ou d’une
entrée fermée par un portail, contacter le directeur de votre installation ou
votre détaillant LiftMaster

OPTION 1 – PRODUITS SECURITY+2.0™

1. Localiser le bouton d’apprentissage (LEARN) sur votre produit ou le
bouton de programmation (PROGRAM) sur l’écran à cristaux liquides
(s’il y a lieu).

2. Enfoncer et relâcher le bouton d’apprentissage jaune (LEARN) sur
votre produit ou le bouton PROGRAM sur l’écran à cristaux liquides.

REMARQUE: La couleur des boutons sur les produits commerciaux
peut varier.

3. Enfoncer et tenir le bouton de la télécommande que vous souhaitez
utiliser jusqu’à ce que la DEL de programmation de votre produit
s’éteigne ou que les témoins lumineux clignotent sur votre produit.

4. Pour tester la télécommande, appuyer sur le bouton programmé de

• Appuyer sur la touche de navigation

1. Localiser le bouton de programmation sur la télécommande.

appuyer sur le bouton de programmation jusqu’à ce que la DEL à
l’avant de la télécommande s’allume.

3. Enfoncer et relâcher le bouton de la télécommande que vous désirez
utiliser:

• 1 fois pour un produit SECURITY+2.0™ (bouton d’apprentissage

jaune).

4. Pour quitter le mode de programmation, appuyer sur n’importe quel
bouton de la télécommande, sauf celui qui vient d’être programmé.

5. Enfoncer et relâcher le bouton d’apprentissage jaune (LEARN) sur
votre produit ou le bouton PROGRAM sur l’écran à cristaux liquides.

REMARQUE: La couleur des boutons sur les produits commerciaux
peut varier.

6. Enfoncer et tenir le bouton de la télécommande que vous avez
programmée à l’étape3 jusqu’à ce que la DEL de programmation de
votre produit s’éteigne ou que les témoins lumineux clignotent sur

• NE PAS recharger, ni démonter, ni chauffer à une température
supérieure à 100 °C (212 °F), ni incinérer.

MODE D’EMPLOI DE LA TÉLÉCOMMANDE

Enfoncer et tenir le bouton jusqu’à ce que la porte ou le portail
commence à se déplacer. Pour les télécommandes de porte-clés dotées
d’un capteur de proximité, tenir la télécommande à une distance de 2,5 à
5cm (1 à 2po) de la face du lecteur et attendre que ce dernier émette un
bip ou que la DEL s’allume pour confirmer. Le fonctionnement du capteur
de proximité varie en fonction du système à commande d’accès. Pour de
l’information supplémentaire, consulter le manuel du propriétaire du
système de commande d’accès.

LA PILE DE LA CONTROL REMOTO

Pour remplacer la pile, ouvrir le boîtier, comme illustré. Insérer la pile
avec le côté positif vers le haut (+). Remplacer la pile uniquement par de
pile bouton 3V CR2032. Se débarrasser de la pile usagée
convenablement.
