Solenoid Brake Description

Brake will keep spoked pulley from moving when engaged. Brake MUST be disengaged to manually push gate open (Backdriven).
Opens or closes the gate with dedicated devices wired directly to the DC2000 when the AC power fails at the operator. (Refer to pages 30 through 32 in the manual)
The DC2000 WILL NOT operate an Emergency Key Switch (Knox Box) wired to the operator’s surge suppressor when the AC power fails at the operator. If this AC power failure occurs, the solenoid brake will be disen- gaged regardless of the DC2000’s battery power . The gate can be manually pushed opened at any time as long as there is NO AC power at the operator.
(See above and Fire/Police Key Access Addendum Page 5)
Contact your local municipalities for more information on correct emergency vehicle access operator installation and procedures.
