4. First-aid measures
Inhalation
Skin contact
Eye contact
Ingestion
Most important symptoms/effects, acute and delayed
Indication of immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
General information
If gas/fume/vapor/dust/mist from the material is inhaled, remove the affected person immediately to fresh air. Call a physician if symptoms develop or persist. Not likely, due to the form of the product.
Remove and isolate contaminated clothing and shoes. Rinse with water. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists. Rinse mouth. Get medical attention if symptoms occur. Direct contact with eyes may cause temporary irritation.
Treat symptomatically.
Ensure that medical personnel are aware of the material(s) involved, and take precautions to protect themselves.
5. Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media
Unsuitable extinguishing media
Specific hazards arising from the chemical
Special protective equipment and precautions for firefighters
Fire fighting equipment/instructions
Specific methods
General fire hazards
Alcohol resistant foam. Powder. Dry chemical, CO2, water spray or regular foam. Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.
During fire, gases hazardous to health may be formed.
As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.
Move containers from fire area if you can do so without risk.
Use standard firefighting procedures and consider the hazards of other involved materials. No unusual fire or explosion hazards noted.
6. Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
Environmental precautions
Keep unnecessary personnel away. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Do not touch damaged containers or spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation. For personal protection, see section 8 of the SDS.
Stop leak if you can do so without risk. Use water spray to reduce vapors or divert vapor cloud drift .
Large Spills: Dike the spilled material, where this is possible. Following product recovery, flush
area with water.
Small Spills: Absorb with earth, sand or other non-combustible material and transfer to containers for later disposal. Wipe up with absorbent material (e.g. cloth, fleece). Clean surface thoroughly to remove residual contamination.
Never return spills to original containers for re-use. For waste disposal, see section 13 of the SDS. Forms smooth, slippery surfaces on floors, posing an accident risk.
Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
7. Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Material name: ACCU-VIS® 4641 Version #: 13 Revision date: 09-August-2018 Issue date: 31-October-2014
Do not get this material in your eyes, on your skin, or on your clothing. Forms smooth, slippery surfaces on floors, posing an accident risk.
Store at room temperature in the original container. Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from incompatible materials (see Section 10 of the SDS).
