Applications

The QCM-5A series ceiling
loudspeaker shares the same elegant
design with the entire QCM (Quick
Ceiling Mount) range. With the
knowledge that you are getting the
same quality construction and simple
fit method throughout the range, you
can tailor a system that has seamless
aesthetics yet meets rigorous acoustic
conditions. The QCM-5A series ceiling
loudspeaker has been designed to
offer great performance in a compact
and affordable package. A 5.25" twin
cone driver unit is employed to deliver
excellent response and sound
pressure levels for such a compact
ceiling loudspeaker. The 70.7/25 volt
line transformer is fitted as standard
and is rated at 4 watts. Now available
with optional mounting rails (MOR-

1000) for code compliance and a safe
installation practice.

For your peace of mind and accurate system design, sample CES Audio products are extensively tested in our Anechoic Test Chamber, Withstanding/Insulation Tester and Programmable
Temperature & Humidity Chamber to ensure accurate specification, safety and reliability.
All CES Audio loudspeakers are designed to withstand operating at their rated power for 100 hours in accordance with IEC 268-5 Power Handling Capacity standards.

Architects' and Engineers' Specifications

The loudspeaker shall be of 'in-ceiling design consisting of a

5.25"(133mm) dual cone full range transducer. The cone shall be of
paper construction. Performance specification of a typical
production unit shall be as follows. Measured sensitivity (SPL) shall
be at least 92dB @1w/1m and usable frequency response shall
extend from 100Hz to 20kHz with no external equalization. The
speaker shall have a nominal conical polar coverage pattern of 120
degrees at 1kHz and 65 degrees at 4kHz.
The baffle shall be constructed of formed steel and have an overall
front face diameter of 7.09" or 180mm.
