Additional Air Hammer Safety Precautions
1.Disconnect air before servicing. Do not attempt to change chisels,
disassemble, or service tool with air hose attached.
2.Use only specified operating air pressure. Ne ver operate tool above the
specified operating air pressure range.
3.Do not use combustible gases. Do not use comb ustib le gases as a power
source, or use tool in areas where combustible gases are stored.
4.Avoid possible kic kbac k injury. Hold the tool with both hands during
operation so that your head and body are not injured by possib le kic kbac k of

Assembly
The Air Hammer comes completely assembled, except for any air inlet fittings.
Note: Use pipe thread seal or T eflon tape on all threaded connections.
Air Connection
1.Attach a 1/4” NPT plug (not supplied) into the Air Inlet (9) fitting. A fitting is
necessary before a connection can be made to an Air Compressor.
2.For easy connection or removal, attach an Air Quick Coupler (not supplied)
hose on the compressor.
3.Retighten all couplings and fittings.
Oiler and Filter Connection
Dirt, water, and the lack of pneumatic tool oil are major causes f or tool wear. Install
an optional oiler-filter, as illustrated below f or better perf ormance.
Connect the air tool, air hoses, filter, and oiler to the Compressor Air Outlet as
illustrated below . The filter and oiler (not supplied) are recommended but not
mandatory for operation.
If the filter and oiler are not used, connect the air hose directly to the 1/4 inch, 18
NPT connector located at the Air Inlet (9) fitting. Also, a few drops of pneumatic
tool oil must be added through the air line before each use.
Operation
Attach Chisel to Air Hammer
1.Remove air supply hose from the Air Hammer .
2.Unscrew the Retainer Spring (15) from the Cylinder (14). Ref er to the photo
on the next page.
3.Insert the 10 mm Chisel shank into the Cylinder (14).
4.Screw in the Retainer Spring completely onto the threads of the Cylinder (14)
until it stops, to solidly hold the Chisel in place.

Chiseling Operation
W arning: Do not operate the Air Hammer unless the Retainer Spring (15) is
screwed completely onto the Cylinder (14). Otherwise, the chisel could fly out of
the Cylinder causing injury .
1.Set the (1.5 HP minimum) air compressor pressure regulator to 90 PSI.
2.Connect the compressor air hose (minimum 3/8” I.D.) to the Air Inlet (9) on
the handle of the Air Hammer.
If an oiler is not used, add a few drops of pneumatic tool oil into the Air Inlet
(9) before connecting the air hose. If any air is leaking after the connection,
disconnect the air hose and repair the leak.
3.Put on the impact safety glasses, full f ace shield, and ear plugs.
4.While holding the Air Hammer with both hands, squeeze the Trigger (16) to
begin chiseling.
Let the Air Hammer do the work. Do not lay into the Air Hammer with great
force.
5.If necessary, turn the Regulator (4) to adjust the air flow within the Air
Hammer.
6.When finished chiseling, release the Trigger (16), and remove the air supply
hose.
7.Place the chisel against a piece of scrap and squeeze the Trigger again to
release any remaining air pressure in the Air Hammer .

Maintenance
1.After each use, wipe the Air Hammer with a clean cloth to remove an y dirt
and grease buildup .
2.To maintain tool life, alwa ys lubricate the air line by adding a f e w drops of
pneumatic tool oil to the air line (or Air Inlet) before each use. Or, install the
automatic oiler-filter system as illustrated on page 5.
3.Before each use, drain water out of the air compressor tank and
condensation from the air lines. Ref er to the Air Compressor Oper ation
Manual.
4.Periodically check and clean out the Cylinder chisel hole.
5.Before each use, check the chisels for cracks, breaks, or any unusual signs
of wear. Do not use if damaged.
