Safety Warnings and Precautions
WARNING: When using tool, basic safety precautions should always be fol­lowed to reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to equipment.
Read all instructions before using this tool!
1. Keep work area c lean . Cluttered areas invite injuries.
2. Observe work area conditions. Do not use machines or po wer tools in damp or wet locations. Don’t expose to rain. K eep work area well lighted. Do not use electrically powered tools in the presence of flammab le gases or liquids.
3. Keep children awa y. Children must nev er be allo wed in the w ork area. Do not let them handle machines, tools, or extension cords .
4. Store idle equipment. When not in use, tools must be stored in a dry location to inhibit rust. Alw a ys loc k up tools and k eep out of reach of children.
5. Use the right tool for the job. Do not attempt to force a small tool or attachment to do the work of a larger industrial tool. There are certain applications for which this tool was designed. It will do the job better and more safely at the rate for which it was intended. Do not modify this tool and do not use this tool for a purpose for which it was not intended.

6. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or je welry as they can be caught in moving parts. Protectiv e , electrically non-conductiv e clothes and non-skid footwear are recommended when w orking. Wear restrictive hair co v ering to contain long hair .
7. Use eye and ear protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact saf ety goggles. W ear a full f ace shield if y ou are producing metal filings or w ood chips. W ear an ANSI appro v ed dust mask or respirator when working around metal, wood, and chemical dusts and mists.
8. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Do not reach over or across running machines.
9. Maintain tools with care. Keep tools sharp and clean for better and safer performance. F ollow instructions f or lubricating and changing accessories. Inspect tool cords periodically and, if damaged, have them repaired by an authorized technician. The handles must be kept clean, dry, and free from oil and grease at all times.
10. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches. Check that k e ys and adjusting wrenches are removed from the tool or machine w ork surface before operating.
11. Stay alert. Watch what y ou are doing, use common sense. Do not operate any tool when you are tired.
12. Check for damaged parts. Bef ore using an y tool, an y part that appears damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check f or alignment and binding of moving parts; any broken parts or mounting fixtures; and an y other condition that may aff ect proper operation. Any part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by a qualified technician.
13. Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts will void the warranty. Only use accessories intended for use with this tool. Approved accessories are availab le from Harbor F reight Tools.
14. Do not operate tool if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning labels if taking prescription medicine to determine if your judgment or reflex es are impaired while taking drugs. If there is any doubt, do not operate the tool.
15. Maintenance. F or your safety, service and maintenance should be performed regularly by a qualified technician.

Rotary T ab le Specific Saf ety Precautions

It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are fac­tors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the opera­tor .
Warning: The brass components of this product contain lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects (or other reproductive harm). (California Health & Safety Code 25249.5 et seq.)
Caution: Prior to using the Rotary Table on a milling or other machine, make sure to read and understand all instructions and safety precautions as out­lined in the machine’s operation manual.
Unpacking
When unpacking, check to mak e sure that all the parts are included. Ref er to the Parts List and Assembly Dra wing at the end of this man ual. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor F reight Tools at the number on the cover of this manual.
Operation
1. Secure the Rotary Table to the saddle of the milling machine using the two vertical or horizontal mounting slots on the Rotary Table and appropriate hardware (not supplied).
2. Securely mount the workpiece to the Rotary Table (hardware not supplied).
3. Loosen Brass Screw (2), then turn Hand Wheel (5) to move the table to the desired angle. Read the angle (in deg rees and seconds) on the Rotary Table (7) and Hand Wheel (5) scales .
4. Retighten Brass Screw (2).
5. Begin milling operation as outlined in the operating manual of the machine being used. Adhere to all warnings and instructions provided in the manual.
Maintenance
1. To clean the Rotary Table, apply a mild solv ent to a clean cloth and wipe clean.
2. To prevent o xidation, apply a thin coat of light oil to the surface and all moving parts.
3. Store the Rotary Table in a clean and dry location.
