4.CAUTION! Never pass fingers and hands directly over or under the Saw
Blade (part #45) when the Table Saw is on and when cutting a workpiece.
Whenever possible, use a Push Stick (not included) to push the workpiece into
the Saw Blade. (See Figure F.)
5.At the start of the cut, the left hand holds the workpiece fir mly on the Table Top
(part #11). The right hand, with the aid of a Push Stick, pushes the workpiece
toward the rotating Saw Blade (part #45). (See Figure F.)
6.After the cut is underway, the right hand with the aid of a Push Stick continues
pushing the workpiece forward into the Saw Blade (part #45). Just before the cut

3.The Saw Blade (part #45) must be sharp and clean to perform properly. Depending on the hardness of wood stock that is cut and frequency of tool use, the Saw
Blade can become dull. A dull Saw Blade will rub the wood stock rather than
cut, which results in increased friction, higher temperatures, and burned wood
stock. As often as possible, check the condition of the Saw Blade and, if necessary, replace a dull Saw Blade with a new, 12” diameter Saw Blade.
(See Figure G.)
4.To install a new 12” Saw Blade (part #45), raise the height of the Saw Blade all
the way by turning the Hand Wheel (part #57) clockwise until it stops.
(See Figure F.)
5.Unscrew and temporarily remove the Screw (part #12) located at the rear of the
Table Inser t (part #9). Then, remove the Table Insert to expose the 12” Saw
Blade (part #45). (See Figure G.)
6.Reach into the Saw Blade opening and remove the Spindle Nut (part #85) and
Outer Flange (part #84). Then, remove the old Saw Blade (part #45) from the
Spindle. (See Figure G.)
7.Install a new 12” Saw Blade (part #45) onto the Spindle. NOTE: Make sure the
teeth of the Saw Blade point down toward the front of the Table Saw.
