A9-307 Alternator Voltage Filter Assembly

Installation Instructions

TURN OFF

BATTERY DISCONNECT SWITCH

BEFORE PROCEEDING

1. From B+ terminal on alternator:
a. remove red boot
b. disconnect and save hardware

2. Remove and save one screw from top of drive end
(DE) control box (see Figure 1).

3. See Figure 2. Connect leads of A9-307 assembly:

• Red lead to B+ terminal as shown in stacking
order. Torque terminal nut to 32 Nm/24 lb. ft.

• Black lead to top of control box (ref. step 2).
Torque to 2.3 Nm/20 lb. in.

4. Replace red boot on B+ terminal.

5. Using cable ties, securely support the assembly to
the vehicle B+ cable as shown in Figure 1.
