WHAT’S IN THE BOX

We recommend saving your telescope box so it can be used to store the telescope when it is not in use. Unpack the box carefully as some parts are
small. Use the parts list below to verify that all parts and accessories are present.

SOLAR WARNING

• Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or with a telescope unless you have the proper solar filter. Permanent and irreversible eye damage may result.

• Never use your telescope to project an image of the Sun onto any surface. Internal heat build-up can damage the telescope and any accessories attached to it.

• Never use an eyepiece solar filter or a Herschel wedge. Internal heat build-up inside the telescope can cause these devices to crack or break, allowing unfiltered sunlight to pass

through to the eye.

• Do not leave the telescope unsupervised, especially when children or adults unfamiliar with the correct operating procedures of your telescope are present.

INSTALLING THE FINDERSCOPE

1. Loosen the two finderscope adjustment screws so they don’t protrude
into the bracket.

2. Slide the rubber O-ring over the eyepiece end of the finderscope and
roll it 2/3 of the way up until it sits in the groove in the finderscope body.

3. Insert the eyepiece end of the finderscope through the narrow part of
the bracket until the O-ring presses tightly between the finder and the
inside of the bracket. Once it stops, then pull outward on the spring
loaded adjustment screw and continue inserting the finderscope until it
is approximately centered in the bracket.

4. Tighten the two adjustment screws until they make contact with the
finderscope body.

5. Locate the finderscope dovetail mounting bracket on the top left side
of the telescope’s rear cell and loosen the set screw until it is not
protruding into the dovetail receptacle.

6. Slide the finderscope and bracket all the way into the dovetail mounting
bracket on the telescope and tighten the set screw on the mounting
bracket to hold the finderscope in place.

INSTALLING THE VISUAL BACK

The visual back is an accessory that adapts the telescope to accept 2”
visual accessories. To install the visual back:

1. Remove the cap on the telescope’s rear cell and thread the knurled
slip ring on the visual back over the threads on the rear cell.

2. Hold the body of the visual back with the set screw in your desired
position and rotate the knurled slip ring clockwise until it is tight.

3. If you want to remove the visual back, rotate the slip ring counterclockwise
until it is free of the rear cell.

INSTALLING THE STAR DIAGONAL

The star diagonal is a prism that diverts the light at a right angle to a more
convenient viewing angle. To install the star diagonal:

1. Turn the set screw on the visual back until its tip no longer extends
into the inner diameter of the visual back.

2. Slide the chrome portion of the star diagonal into the visual back.

3. Tighten the set screw on the visual back to hold the star diagonal in place.

If you wish to change the orientation of the star diagonal, loosen the set
screw on the visual back until the star diagonal rotates freely. Rotate the
diagonal to the desired position and tighten the set screw.

INSTALLING THE EYEPIECE

The eyepiece is an optical element that magnifies the image focused by
the telescope. Without the eyepiece, it would be impossible to use the
telescope visually. To attach an eyepiece to the telescope:

1. Loosen the set screw on the star diagonal so that it does not obstruct
the inner diameter of the star diagonal.

2. Slide the chrome barrel of the eyepiece into the star diagonal.

3. Tighten the set screw on the star diagonal to secure the eyepiece

in place.

FOCUSING THE TELESCOPE

The focus knob is located just to the right of the visual back. To focus
the telescope, simply turn the knob left or right until the image appears
sharp. The focusing mechanism is very fine and it can take quite a few
turns of the focus knob to go through the entire range of focus. The first
time you focus on a distant target, turn the knob slowly and work from one
stop to the other.

ALIGNING THE FINDERSCOPE

The 8x50 finderscope helps you aim your telescope by looking through it and covering your target with the crosshair reticle. The first time you assemble your
telescope, you will need to align the finderscope with the main optics of the telescope. Although this step can be done at night, it is significantly easier during the
day. Once you have completed the finderscope alignment, you should not have to repeat this step unless the finderscope is bumped or the telescope is dropped.

1. Take the telescope outside during the day. Using your naked eye, find an easily recognizable object, such as a streetlight, car license plate, or tall tree. The object
should be as far away as possible, but at least a quarter mile away.

2. Remove the main dust cover from the telescope and make sure your 28mm eyepiece is installed.

3. Move the telescope left and right or up and down so that it is roughly pointing toward the object you chose in step 1.

4. Look through the telescope’s eyepiece and manually move the telescope until the object you chose lies in the center of the view. If the image is blurry, gently

turn the focus knobs until it comes into sharp focus.

5. Look through the eyepiece of the finderscope and locate the crosshair reticle. It will probably be close to, but not on top of, the object you see when you are

looking through the 28mm eyepiece.

6. Without moving the telescope, use the two adjustment knobs on the finderscope bracket so the crosshairs appear over the same object you are observing in

the main telescope.

7. You are now ready to observe. Any target you put the crosshairs on should appear in your eyepiece.

CELESTRON TWO YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

A. Celestron warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for two years. Celestron will repair or replace such product or part thereof

which, upon inspection by Celestron, is found to be defective in materials or workmanship. As a condition to the obligation of Celestron to repair or replace such
product, the product must be returned to Celestron together with proof-of-purchase satisfactory to Celestron.

B. The Proper Return Authorization Number must be obtained from Celestron in advance of return. Please submit your request to Celestron’s online

technical support center at https://www.celestron.com/pages/technical-support or call [phone] to receive the number to be displayed on the
outside of your shipping container.

All returns must be accompanied by a written statement setting forth the name, address, and daytime telephone number of the owner, together with a brief description
of any claimed defects. Parts or product for which replacement is made shall become the property of Celestron.

The customer shall be responsible for all costs of transportation and insurance, both to and from the factory of Celestron, and shall be required to prepay such costs.
Celestron shall use reasonable efforts to repair or replace any product covered by this warranty within thirty days of receipt. In the event repair or replacement shall

require more than thirty days, Celestron shall notify the customer accordingly. Celestron reserves the right to replace any product which has been discontinued from
its product line with a new product of comparable value and function.

This warranty shall be void and of no force of effect in the event a covered product has been modified in design or function, or subjected to abuse, misuse,
mishandling or unauthorized repair. Further, product malfunction or deterioration due to normal wear is not covered by this warranty.

AVERTISSEMENT SUR LE SOLEIL

• Ne jamais regarder directement vers le Soleil à l'œil nu ou avec un télescope, à moins que vous n'utilisiez un filtre solaire adéquat. Cela peut causer des lésions oculaires permanentes et irréversibles.

N'utilisez jamais votre télescope pour projeter une image du Soleil sur une surface quelconque. Une concentration de chaleur dangereuse peut être générée à l’intérieur et endommager le télescope et les

INSTALLER LE CHERCHEUR

1. Desserrez les deux vis de réglage du chercheur de manière à ce qu’elles
ne dépassent pas dans le support.

2. Faites glisser le joint de caoutchouc en anneau sur l’extrémité du
chercheur comportant l’oculaire, et faites-le rouler aux deux tiers de la
hauteur, jusqu’à ce qu’il s’insère dans le creux ménagé dans le corps
du chercheur.

3. Insérez l’extrémité de oculaire dans le chercheur au-travers de la partie
étroite du support jusqu’à ce que le joint en anneau soit pressé entre le
chercheur et l’intérieur du support. Lorsqu’il ne peut plus bouger, tirez
sur la vis de réglage à ressort vers l’extérieur, et continuez à insérer le
chercheur jusqu’à ce qu’il soit approximativement centré dans le support.

4. Serrez les deux vis de réglage jusqu’à ce qu’elles entrent en contact
avec le corps du chercheur.

5. Repérez la monture en queue d'aronde situé sur le côté supérieur droit
de la cellule arrière du télescope et déserrez la vis de fixation jusqu’à ce
qu’elle ne dépasse plus dans le réceptacle de queue d'aronde.

6. Faites glisser le chercheur et le support au maximum dans le support de
montage de la queue d'aronde et serrez la vis de fixation sur le support
de montage pour maintenir le chercheur en place.

INSTALLER L’ADAPTATEUR

L’adaptateur est un accessoire qui permet au télescope de recevoir des
accessoires visuels de 2”. Pour installer l’adaptateur :

1. Retirez le cache de la cellule arrière du télescope et vissez l’anneau
coulissant fileté de l’adaptateur sur le pas de vis de la cellule arrière.

2. Fixez le corps de l’adaptateur avec les vis de fixation dans la position
désirée puis faites pivoter l’anneau coulissant fileté dans le sens des
aiguilles d'une montre jusqu’à ce qu’il soit serré.

Si vous souhaitez retirer l’adaptateur, faites pivoter l’anneau coulissant

dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à ce qu’il soit
libéré de la cellule arrière.

INSTALLER LA DIAGONALE

La diagonale est un prisme qui redirige la lumière selon un angle droit pour
fournir une position d’observation plus pratique. Pour installer la diagonale :

1. Faites tourner la vis de fixation sur l’adaptateur jusqu’à ce que son
extrémité ne pénètre plus dans le diamètre interne de l’adaptateur.

2. Faites glisser la portion chromée de la diagonale dans l’adaptateur.

3. Serrez la vis de fixation sur l’adaptateur pour maintenir la diagonale

en place.

Pour modifier l’orientation de la diagonale, desserrez la vis de fixation sur
l’adaptateur jusqu’à ce que la diagonale puisse pivoter librement. Faites
pivoter la diagonale sur la position désirée puis serrez la vis de fixation.

INSTALLER L’OCULAIRE

L'oculaire est l'élément optique qui grossit l'image focalisée par le télescope.
Sans l’oculaire, il serait impossible d’utiliser le télescope visuellement. Pour
attacher un oculaire au télescope :

1. Desserrez la vis de fixation sur la diagonale de manière à ce qu’elle
n’obstrue pas le diamètre intérieur de la diagonale.

2. Faites glisser le barillet chromé de l’oculaire dans la diagonale.

3. Serrez la vis de fixation sur la diagonale pour maintenir l’oculaire

en place.

METTRE LE TÉLESCOPE AU POINT

La molette de mise au point est située juste sur la droite de l’adaptateur.
Pour mettre le télescope au point, faites simplement tourner la molette
vers la gauche ou la droite jusqu’à ce que l’image apparaisse nette. Le
mécanisme de mise au point est très précis, et il peut nécessiter un assez
grand nombre de tours de molette pour parcourir la plage entière de mise
au point. Lors de la première mise au point sur un objet éloigné, faites
tourner la molette doucement, et d’un maximum à l’autre.

ALIGNER LE CHERCHEUR

Le chercheur 8x50 vous permet d’orienter le télescope en regardant dedans, et en superposant le réticule du viseur sur la cible. Lors du premier assemblage
du télescope, il est nécessaire d’aligner le chercheur sur les optiques principales du télescope. Bien que cette étape puisse être effectuée de nuit, elle est
considérablement plus facile de jour. Une fois l’alignement du chercheur effectué, il ne sera pas requis de répéter cette étape, à moins que le chercheur ne subisse
un choc, ou que le télescope chute.

1. Sortez le télescope à l’extérieur en journée. À l'œil nu, repérez un objet aisément reconnaissable, comme un feu de signalisation, une plaque d'imatriculation de
voiture ou un grand arbre. L’objet doit se trouver aussi loin que possible, au minimum à un quart de mile.

2. Retirez le cache anti-poussière principal du télescope, et assurez-vous que l’oculaire de 28mm est installé.

3. Déplacez le télescope de gauche à droite ou de haut en bas, jusqu’à ce qu’il soit pointé grossièrement dans la direction de l’objet sélectionné lors de l’étape 1.

4. Regardez dans l’oculaire du télescope et orientez manuellement le télescope jusqu’à ce que l’objet sélectionné se trouve au centre du champ de vision. Si

l’image est floue, faites doucement tourner la molette de mise au point jusqu’à ce que l’objet soit nette.

5. Regardez dans l’oculaire du chercheur et repérez le réticule du viseur. Il se trouvera probalement près, mais pas exactement superposé à l’objet que vous voyez

lorsque vous regardez dans l’oculaire de 28mm.

6. Sans déplacer le télescope, utilisez les deux molettes de mise au point situées sur le support de chercheur de manière à ce que le réticule soit superposé à

l’objet observé dans le télescope principal.

7. Vous êtes maintenant prêt pour l'observation. Toute cible placée dans le réticule devrait maintenant apparaître dans l’oculaire.

INSTALLATION DES SUCHERFERNROHRS

der federgelagerte Einstellschraube nach außen und schieben Sie das
Sucherfernrohr weiter, bis es in der Halterung annähernd zentriert ist.

4. Ziehen Sie beiden Einstellschrauben fest, bis sie das

5. Suchen Sie die Schwalbenschwanzhalterung des Sucherfernrohrs
oben links an der hinteren Zelle des Teleskops und lösen Sie die
Einstellschraube, bis sie nicht mehr in die Schwalbenschwanzaufnahme
ragt.

6. Schieben Sie das Sucherfernrohr und die Halterung vollständig in
die Schwalbenschwanz-Halterung am Teleskop und ziehen Sie die
Stellschraube an der Montagehalterung an, um das Sucherfernrohr
festzustellen.

INSTALLATION DES OKULARANSATZES

3. Ziehen Sie die Rändelschraube am Okularansatz fest, um den

Wenn Sie die Orientierung des Zenitspiegels ändern möchten, lösen Sie
die Rändelschraube am Okularansatz, bis sich der Zenitspiegel frei drehen

INSTALLATION DES OKULARS

den Knopf langsam und arbeiten Sie von einem Anschlag zum anderen.

AUSRICHTUNG DES SUCHERFERNROHRS

Das 8 x 50 Sucherfernrohr hilft Ihnen beim Ausrichten Ihres Teleskops, indem durch es schauen und Ihr Zielobjekt mit dem Fadenkreuz abdecken. Nach dem ersten

AVISO SOLAR

• No mire nunca directamente al Sol con los ojos descubiertos o un telescopio a menos que tenga un filtro solar adecuado. Puede producir daños oculares permanentes e irreversibles.

INSTALACIÓN DEL LOCALIZADOR

1. Afloje los dos tornillos de ajuste del localizador de forma que no
sobresalgan dentro del soporte.

2. Deslice la arandela de goma sobre el extremo del localizador y enróllela
2/3 de su longitud hasta que se asiente en la ranura del chasis del
localizador.

3. Inserte el extremo del ocular del localizador por la parte estrecha del
soporte hasta que la arandela presione firmemente entre el localizador
y el interior del soporte. Cuando se detenga, tire hacia afuera el tornillo
de ajuste con muelle y siga introduciendo el localizador hasta que esté
aproximadamente centrado en el soporte.

4. Apriete los dos tornillos de ajuste hasta que entren en contacto con el
chasis del localizador.

5. Localice el soporte de montaje machihembrado del localizador
de la parte superior izquierda de la célula posterior del telescopio y
afloje el tornillo hasta que no sobresalga dentro del receptáctulo del
machihembrado.

6. Deslice el localizador y el soporte por completo en el soporte de
montaje machihembrado del telescopio y apriete el tornillo del soporte
de montaje para sujetar el localizador en posición.

INSTALACIÓN DE LA PARTE POSTERIOR VISUAL

La parte posterior visual es un accesorio que adapta el telescopio para que
acepte accesorios visuales de 2”. Para instalar la parte posterior visual:

1. Saque la tapa de la célula posterior del telescopio y enrosque la
arandela estriada de la parte posterior visual sobre las estrías de la
célula posterior.

2. Aguante el chasis de la parte posterior visual con el tornillo en la
posición deseada y gire la arandela estriada en sentido de las agujas
del reloj hasta que quede fija.

INSTALACIÓN DE LA DIAGONAL ESTELAR

La diagonal estelar es un prisma que desvía la luz en ángulo recto para
un ángulo de observación más práctico. Para instalar la diagonal estelar:

1. Gire el tornillo de la parte posterior visual hasta que la punta ya no se
extienda dentro del diámetro interno de la parte posterior visual.

2. Deslice la sección cromada de la diagonal estelar en la parte

posterior visual.

3. Apriete el tornillo de la parte posterior visual para sujetar la diagonal

estelar en posición.

Si desea cambiar la orientación de la diagonal estelar, afloje el tornillo de la

CONTENUTO DELLA CONFEZIONE

Si consiglia di conservare la confezione del telescopio per riporre il telescopio quando non è in uso. Rimuovere con attenzione dalla confezione in quanto
alcune parti sono piccole. Usare l'elenco delle parti seguente per verificare che tutte le parti o accessori sono presenti.

AVVERTENZA SOLARE

• Non guardare mai direttamente il Sole ad occhio nudo o con un telescopio a meno che tu non abbia il filtro solare adatto. Potrebbero verificarsi danni oculari permanenti e irreversibili.

• Mai utilizzare il telescopio per proiettare un'immagine del Sole su una qualsiasi superficie. L'accumulo interno di calore può danneggiare il telescopio e i relativi accessori ad esso fissati.

• Mai utilizzare un filtro solare per oculare o un prisma di Herschel. L'accumulo di calore interno all'interno del telescopio può causare la rottura o la lesione di questi dispositivi, consentendo alla luce solare

non filtrata di passare attraverso l'occhio.

Non lasciare il telescopio incustodito quando bambini o adulti con scarsa familiarità con il corretto funzionamento del telescopio sono presenti.

INSTALLAZIONE DEL CERCATORE

1. Allentare le viti di regolazione del cercatore in modo che non
fuoriescono dalla staffa.

2. Far scorrere l'O-ring di gomma sull'estremità dell'oculare del cercatore
e ruotarlo di 2/3 fino a quando non è nella scanalatura del corpo
del cercatore.

3. Inserire l'estremità dell'oculare del cercatore attraverso la parte stretta
della staffa fino a quando l'O-ring non preme fermamente tra il cercatore
e l'inter no della staf fa. Una volta c he si ferma, q uindi tirare verso l'es terno
la vite di regolazione a molla e continuare a inserire il cercatore fino a
quando non è centrato approssimativamente nella staffa.

4. Serrare le due viti di regolazione fino a quando non entrano in contatto
con il corpo del cercatore.

5. Individuare la staffa di montaggio a coda di rondine del cercatore sul lato
in alto a sinistra della cella posteriore del telescopio e allentare la vite
fino a quando non protrude nella presa a coda di rondine.

6. Far scorrere il cercatore e la staffa completamente nella staffa di
montaggio a coda di rondine e serrare la vite sulla staffa di montaggio
per mantenere il cercatore in posizione.

INSTALLAZIONE DEL RETRO VISIVO

Il retro visivo è un accessorio che adatta il telescopio per accettare
accessori visivi da 2''. Per installare il retro visivo:

1. Rimuovere il tappo sulla cella posteriore del telescopio e infilare l'anello
di contatto zigrinato sul retro visivo sopra le filettature sulla cella
posteriore.

2. Tenere il corpo del retro visivo con la vite nella posizione desiderata e
ruotare l'anello di contatto zigrinato in senso orario fino a quando non
è serrato.

INSTALLAZIONE DELLA DIAGONALE STELLARE

La diagonale stellare è un prisma che devia la luce ad angolo retto rispetto
a un angolo di visione più conveniente. Per installare la diagonale stellare:

1. Ruotare la vite di fermo sul retro visivo fino a quando la punta non si
estende più nel diametro interno del retro visivo.

2. Far scorrere la parte cromata della diagonale stellare nel retro visivo.

3. Serrare la vite sul retro visivo per tenere la diagonale stellare in posizione.

Se si desidera modificare l'orientamento della diagonale stellare, allentare
lavite sul retro visivo fino a quando la diagonale stellare non ruota
liberamente. Ruotare la diagonale nella posizione desiderata e serrare la
vite di fissaggio.

INSTALLAZIONE DELL'OCULARE

L'oculare è l'elemento ottico che ingrandisce l'immagine messa a fuoco
dal telescopio. Senza l’oculare, sarebbe impossibile utilizzare il telescopio
visivamente. Per fissare un oculare al telescopio:

1. Allentare la vite sulla diagonale stellare in modo che non ostruisca il
diametro interno della diagonale stellare.

2. Far scorrere il cilindro cromato dell'oculare nella diagonale stellare.

3. Serrare la vite sulla diagonale stellare per assicurare l'oculare

in posizione.

MESSA A FUOCO DEL TELESCOPIO

La manopola di messa a fuoco si trova alla destra del retro visivo. Per
mettere a fuoco, basta ruotare la manopola a sinistra o destra fino a
quando l'immagine non appare nitida. Il meccanismo di messa a fuoco è
molto preciso e può richiedere solo pochi giri della manopola di messa a
fuoco per muoversi attraverso l'intera gamma di messa a fuoco. La prima
volta che si mette a fuoco su un obiettivo distante, ruotare lentamente la
manopola e passare da un passo all'altro.

ALLINEAMENTO DEL CERCATORE

Il cercatore 8x50 aiuta a puntare il telescopio guardando attraverso di esso e coprendo l'obiettivo con il reticolo del mirino. Al primo assemblaggio del telescopio
è necessario allineare il cercatore con le ottiche principali del telescopio. Sebbene questa operazione possa essere effettuata di notte, è decisamente più facile
da eseguire di giorno. Una volta completato l'allineamento del cercatore, non è necessario ripetere questo passaggio a meno che il cercatore non venga urtato o
il telescopio non venga fatto cadere.

1. Portare il telescopio fuori durante il giorno. Usando il proprio occhio nudo, trovare un oggetto facilmente riconoscibile, come un lampione, una targa
automobilistica o un albero alto. L'oggetto deve trovarsi il più lontano possibile, ma almeno a 400 metri.

2. Rimuovere il coperchio antipolvere principale dal telescopio e assicurarsi che l'oculare da 28mm sia installato.

3. Spostare il telescopio a sinistra e a destra o su e giù in modo che indichi approssimativamente l'oggetto che si è scelto nel passaggio 1.

4. Guardare attraverso l'oculare del telescopio e muovere manualmente il telescopio fino a quando l'oggetto scelto non ricade nel centro della visuale. Se

l'immagine è sbiadita, ruotare lentamente le manopole di messa a fuoco fino a quando non è messa a fuoco.

5. Guardare attraverso l'oculare del cercatore e individuare il reticolo del mirino. Sarà probabilmente vicino, non al di sopra dell'oggetto quando si guarda attraverso

l'oculare da 28mm.

6. Senza spostare il telescopio, usare le due manopole di regolazione sulla staffa del cercatore in modo che i mirini siano sullo stesso oggetto che si sta osservando

nel telescopio principale.

7. Ora si è pronti a osservare! Qualsiasi obiettivo si pone nel mirino deve apparire nell'oculare.

visualizzare all’esterno del contenitore di spedizione.

Tutte le restituzioni devono essere accompagnate da una dichiarazione scritta indicante il nome, l’indirizzo e un numero di telefono del proprietario, assieme a una
breve descrizione del difetto reclamato. Le parti del prodotto per cui si effettua la sostituzione diventano proprietà di Celestron.

Il cliente è responsabile di tutti i costi di trasporto e assicurazione, da e verso la fabbrica di Celestron, che devono essere pagati in anticipo.
Celestron si impegna a riparare o sostituire qualsiasi prodotto coperto da garanzia entro 30 giorni dalla ricezione. In caso la riparazione o la sostituzione richieda
