1.1 Keypad 键盘区
Your mobile phone has 25 keys and can be divided into two parts:
Number/letter keys, 12 keys in all
Control keys, 13 keys in all
1.1.1 Number/letter keys 数字/字母键
There are 12 number/letter keys, that is, 0 to 9 and the "*" key and "#" key.
You can use these keys to input numbers or letters/symbols and pressing a key may
correspond to different results as listed below:

1.1.2 Control keys 控制键 Power/End key 电源键/挂断键
Red key in the right part of the keypad.
Press to power on the phone. Press and hold during the charging process.
Press and hold to power off the phone.
Press briefly to return to the standby mode from a menu or editing mode.
Press to end a call.
Press to refuse to answer a call.
From standby mode or the FM menu, press briefly to turn off the FM radio that has been
activated.
Send key / Answer key 发送键/接听键
Green key in the left part of the keypad. Press to place or answer a call. From standby mode,
press to access dialed calls.

Left soft key and right soft key 左软键和右软键
The left soft key is in the upper left corner of the keypad and the right soft key is in the upper
right corner of the keypad. Their functions are indicated at the bottom of the screen.
Navigation Keys 方向键
There are four navigation keys, namely, Right, Left, Up and Down.
Up and Down: 上键和下键
Scroll to show the letters/symbols available for selection in the editor.
Scroll to view menus and lists.
Scroll to read messages or other texts.
Scroll to search a program in the FM mode.
Note: The Up/Down keys feature auto repeat. When pressing and holding either one of these
two keys, it acts as being pressed many times, i.e. when pressing the key firmly, after a lapse
of time, the auto repeat function will be activated. The lapse of time required to activated the
function has been preset and cannot be modified.
Left and Right: 左键和右键
Scroll to move the cursor in the editor.
Scroll to select the program name in the FM mode.
Enter Key (Ok key)
确定键
The key in the center of the navigation keys. Press to confirm.
Clear Key 删除键
Also known as Back key.
When editing, press briefly to delete the previous character, or if there is no previous
character, delete the subsequent characters in sequence. Press and hold to delete all the
characters. Press to return to the previous display. Press and hold to return to the standby
mode.
When viewing menus, pess briefly to return to the previous menu. Press and hold to return to
the standby mode.
Side Keys 侧面键
Including the volume key and the FM radio key.
When the flip is closed and the earphone is attached, press briefly any of them to answer
an incoming call.
When the flip is closed, press and hold to stop ringer, vibrator or backlight, whether the
earphone is attached or not.

When the flip is closed and the earphone is attached, press and hold to end a call.
Press to adjust the volume of the speaker or the earphone.
Press briefly to adjust the volume of the earphone when the radio is turned on.
Press and hold to search a desired channel when the radio is turned on and the flip is
closed.
1.1.3 Key operation from the standby mode 待机下的按键操作
The user may from the standby mode:
Press the Send key to access dialed numbers
Press the left soft key or the Enter key to access the main menu
Press and hold key ‘OK’ will activate voice command function
Press the Up key to access the call list
Press the Down key to access the phonebook list
Press the Left key to enter the FM mode
Press the Right key to access the SMS menu
Press the Right softkey to access the phonebook menu
Input the telephone number with the number keys, dial a number or display a menu
Use the user-defined hotkey (see "Hotkey Setting")
1.2 Display
1.2.1 Main display
The main display has 128(width)x128(height) pixels and is capable of displaying 4096 colors.
Icons 图标
The icons are only available under standby mode, to indicate the current status of the phone.
Icon Name of icon Description
Battery level Shows the amount of charge left in your battery in
the form of five visible bars. The number of battery
bars displayed will vary from zero to four repeatedly
during the charging process.
Network Composed of two parts. The left part indicates that
the mobile phone is duly registered to a network.
The right part shows the signal strength. The more
bars visible, the greater the signal strength. Five
bars are displayed when the signal is strongest. If a
GPRS icon is displayed, it indicates that your
phone is in the GPRS mode.
Roam Appears when your phone uses another network
system outside your home network.
Local network Appears when your phone uses the home network.

GPRS status Right icon: Your phone is in the GPRS mode. Left
icon: Your phone isn't in the GPRS mode.
Text message Appears when there are one or more unread text
messages. After you read these text messages, the
icon disappears. The right icon is displayed when
the text message storage is full. In this case, only
the right icon is displayed even when there is any
unread text message.
Alarm clock Appears when the alarm clock function is activated.
Vibrator Indicates vibration alert will be given upon incoming
call, new event or clock event.
Call forward Appears when the Call Forward feature is
activated.
Mute Appears when the Mute feature is activated.
Not answer Appears when the Not Answer feature is activated.
Answer all Appears when the Answer All feature is activated.
Standby display events 待机屏幕事件
Unanswered calls
A reminder for unanswered call is shown to announce an incoming call that is unanswered.
Press the Clear key or the power key to return to the standby mode. If so, no more reminder
will be shown.
New Text Message
A reminder for text message is shown to announce a new text message. Press the Clear key
or the power key to return to the standby mode. If so, no more reminder will be shown.
Organizer
It is of the least priority. When an operation of higher priority is in progress, the organizer only
plays a reminder alert for specific events. The calendar is displayed only when you quit other
operations. Press the Clear key or the power key to return to standby display.
Dialing a Previously Dialed Phone Number 拨打已拨号码
From standby, press the Send key to access the list of dialed numbers.
Scroll up and down to select the desired number and press the Send key to make a call.
1.2.2 Small Display
There is a small liquid display above the clamshell. It is 80*48, black and white. The small
LCD displays no matter flip open or close.
Main functions of the small LCD:
Display the manufacture’s mark when the mobile phone turns on and off

Display the date, time, battery status, network, and so on, during the standby condition
Display happy festival kind of words on the specific festival
Coming call indication: display the name and the phone number of the coming call
Display the volume adjusting
Charging status display
Low battery indication
Latest event display, such as missed calls, messages, clock, notebook events, etc
1.3 Installing battery 安装电池 Installing battery 安装电池
Direct the ridge of the battery to the base of the phone.
Insert the battery into the battery compartment and push down until snap it into place.
Removing battery 取出电池
Push the battery release catch upwards to release the battery from the phone. Remove the
battery.
1.4 Installing the SIM card 安装 SIM 卡 Installing the SIM card 安装 SIM 卡
SIM cards are available at your service provider. A SIM card keeps track of your phone
number and your personal information, etc. It can be used in any GSM phone.
Always turn your phone off before removing the battery.
Push the SIM card splint left and open.
Slide the SIM card into the SIM card slot with the golden connectors facing down and
the cut corner aligned.
Retain the SIM card in place with the splint.
Install the battery.
Removing the SIM card 取出 SIM 卡
Make sure the battery is detached.
Push the SIM card splint left and open.
Remove the SIM card.
Push the splint right in place.
Reload the battery.
1.5 Charging battery 电池充电
Attach the charger to the phone with the directional arrow facing up.
Plug the other end of the charger into the appropriate 220V AC outlet.
The battery level indicating bars start varying, indicating that the battery is being
charged.
The number of battery bars displayed will start varying repeatedly.

The battery icon is full when the battery is fully charged. Remove the charger.
1.6 256-color cool light 256 色炫彩灯
There are altogether 3 of the cool 256-color lights attached to the flip surface of the phone.
If the light are set to be active, when there’s incoming call, all the 3 lights will light up and
switching their color to the MIDI melody, and, when charging the battery, these lights will also
light up, until the battery is fully charged.
2. Basic operation 功能介绍
2.1 Turning the phone on 开机
Press the Power key, either briefly or long, to turn the phone on. Press and hold to turn the
phone on during the charging process.
Entering PIN Code 输入 PIN 码
You can use PIN (Personal Identification Number) to protect your SIM card from unauthorized
use. Once the PIN is activated, you will be required to enter the PIN code at the time your
phone is turned on.
Enter the PIN code, which may be provided by the service provider and subject to
your alteration. For the sake of confidentiality, the code is displayed as a group of “*”
in the screen. You may delete the wrong code with the Clear key.
Press the left softkey or the Enter key to confirm what you have entered. If a right
code is entered, the phone will start searching for the network.
When the name of network you use is displayed, you can make or answer calls. Otherwise,
you need to register again.
Note: If you enter a wrong PIN code the third time, the SIM card will be locked. In this case,
you have to contact your SIM card supplier.
2.2 Turning the phone off 关机
Press and hold the Power key to turn the phone off.
2.3 Placing a call 拨打电话
* To call a number, your phone must be turned on and have a network connection.
* Dial the phone number.
* Press the Send key to send the call, or access the Option menu to select Call or IP Call. The
Call function is same as that of the Send key. If IP Call is selected and an IP service provider
(e.g. 17951, the code of CMCC, who is a major IP service provider in China) code is preset in
the phonebook, the phone will make an IP call.
Ending a call 结束通话

Press the right softkey or the Power key to end a call. Or just close the flip to end a call.
Placing an international call 拨打国际长途
From standby, press and hold the “*” key until “+” is displayed.
Enter the nation code.
Enter the region code and the phone number.
Press the Send key to send the call, or access the Option menu to select Call or IP Call.
Placing a new call with a call on hold 同时拨打两个电话
You can put the first call on hold and place a new call.
Press the right softkey to access the “In-call menu” and select Hold to put the first call
on hold, and then place a new call by use of phonebook dialing or dialing from the
keypad.
Press the left softkey or the Send key to dial the number.
Call switching (network dependent) 切换通话
You can switch between two incoming calls, i.e. one being hold and the other active, by use
of “In-call menu”.
2.4 Answering a call 接听电话
To answer an incoming call:
Press the left softkey or the Send key.
To refuse to answer an incoming call:
Press the right softkey or the Power key.
To answer the second call: (network dependent)
If call waiting is subscribed, when receiving the second call, the display will prompt you to:
Put the first call on hold and then answer the second one, or
Press the Power key to end the first call and then answer or refuse the second one.
2.5 Text entry methods 输入法
Your phone adopts the T9 entry system.
When using your mobile phone, you may need to input text from time to time, such as names,
QQ names, SMS and QQ text, organizer text, WAP text and names of modes, groups, FM
channels, etc.
T9 English input: T9 智能英文
Letter input: Press the key that contains the letter you want to input. Press once if
such letter is in the first position. Press twice to display the second letter, and so on, until the desired letter is displayed. 字符

Number input: You can enter numbers by use of number keys in your keypad. 数字
Switching from one entry method to another 输入模式切换
Press the "*" key to switch from one entry method to another in an editor. Press the "*" key
repeatedly to scroll through all entry methods.
Switching between capital letter and small letter 英文大小写切换
Press the "#" key briefly to switch between the capital letter and the corresponding small
letter.
Symbol input
符号的输入
From any input mode, press and hold the "#" key to access the symbol screen. Press the
number key according to the number leading the desired symbol. Press the Up/Down key to
access the next page of symbols.
Deleting input contents 删除操作
When the input line is not empty, press the Clear key will delete the first letter/symbol from the
right until the input line is cleared. Press and hold the Clear key to delete the whole input line.
2.5.1 T9 English input T9 智能英文
Press the keys that contain the letters of the desired word and the input line will show the
possible combination of such letters automatically. (Press the Up/Down key to access more
options, if any) After the desired word is selected, press the Enter key to confirm and this
word will be added to the text line with a space after it.
Note: Editing of symbols is forbidden in this mode.
2.5.2 Letter input 字符
You can enter letters directly from the text line.
Press the key that contains the letter you want to input. Press once if such letter is in the first
position. Press twice to display the second letter, and so on, until the desired letter is
displayed.
2.5.3 Number input 数字
You can enter numbers directly form the text line.
Press any key from 0 to 9, and the number you thus selected will be added to the text line.
2.6 Phonebook
电话簿
You can store a list of names and phone numbers in the phonebook of either the SIM card or
your phone. You can also search, add, revise or delete any information in you phonebook or
use it to make speed dialing or send text messages.
Tips: The phonebook may be inaccessible during the initiation process at the time the phone

is turned on.
Attribution of phonebook 电话簿分类
There are two types of phonebook, i.e. in SIM card (SIM card capacity dependent) and in the
phone (supporting up to 300 entries), different with respect to contents and the way of use,
yet mixed in one list.
An entry in the SIM card memory has a SIM card icon on the right, while an entry in the phone
memory has a type icon on the right.
SIM card memory SIM 卡电话簿
An entry contains a name and a phone number.
Phone memory 手机电话簿
An entry is also called a "name card", which contains the following information:
- Name
- Phone number (three numbers at most under the same name, up to 21 bytes each,
e.g., for a 21-byte number, the first byte is always "+", while "0-9", "*", "#", "w" and "p"
making up the rest part.)
- Default number (when a SIM entry is copied to the phone memory, the type of the
number will be default).
- Mobile phone
- Office number
- Home number
- Fax number
- Pager number
- E-mail (Max. 50 byte)
- Note (Max. 50 byte)
- Address (Max. 60 byte)
- Postage code (Max. 10 byte)
Each name card (user-defined) contains a name (required) and a phone number at least.
You may divide the names of phone entries into different groups. The type of groups can be
default, family, friend, college, community, and private (you may change the name or the icon
of each group). Each group can be identified with different melodies.
Note: When a name in the phonebook list is selected, you may press the Enter key to access
the phone number(s) under such name.

2.6.1 Searching an entry 查询
You may search an entry in the mixed list of the SIM card and phone entries. First, input the
first letter of the name you are searching or press the Enter key to access the list directly. If
such letter is included in the list, you will reach the first name leaded by it. Otherwise, the first
name in the list is displayed.
使用技巧
Tips: You may press the Down key to access the phonebook list directly from standby.
You may input the first letter of the name to move to the entries starting with this letter and
then scroll through the list with the Up/Down key.
For example, you may input the letter/number A, B or C with the key "2".
When press the key "2" in the phonebook,
1. To search an entry starting with A, press the key "2" once and the names leaded by A will
be displayed. If no entry satisfies, select B, C or 2 to search the desired entry.
2. If no entry starting with any of the GSM letters under the key "2" is found in the list, the
cursor will remains still.
2.6.2 Create an new entry 添加新号码 SIM card SIM
To create a SIM card entry, enter a name editor to input the name. After confirmation, enter a
number editor to input the phone number and confirm.
Phone 手机
To create a phone entry, you need to enter a name editor first to input the name. After
confirmation, you have a list of types of phone number. Select the desired type and confirm,
then input the phone number and confirm once again. You are allowed to add phone number
under the same name card, set up the default number or divide numbers into groups.
Note: A new entry will become the default number and the user may move it to another group
as desired.
2.6.3 Phonebook list 电话簿列表 (1) How to use the phonebook list 电话簿列表的操作
The phonebook list shows a list of names, with the type icon on the right. For a SIM card entry,
a SIM card icon is shown, while for a phone entry, the icon standing for the number type is
shown. New entries can be added to the list. 用户可以新增记录。
You may use the Option menu to

Place an IP call: if no IP number is provided, you will be asked to input an IP number
before you place an IP call.
Send a text message: send a text message to the default number in the entry you've
selected.
Change a name: make change to the entry you've selected.
Delete an entry: delete the entry you've selected.
Set up groups: this feature is only available with the phonebook in your phone.
Make speed dialing: set up a hotkey for the default number in the entry you've
selected.
Copy an entry to the phone memory from the SIM card memory
When a SIM card entry is copied to the name card of the phonebook in your phone, the
phone number in question will become the default number.
Copy an entry to the SIM card memory from the phone memory
The phone number(s) in a phone entry you've selected, 3 numbers at most, will be copied
to the SIM card memory all together. Each number will become a new SIM card entry with
the name unchanged.
Move an entry from the SIM card memory to the phone memory
Similar to that of copying an entry from the SIM card memory to the phone memory, yet
the original entry will be deleted.
Move an entry from the phone memory to the SIM card memory
Similar to that of copying an entry from the phone memory to the SIM card memory, yet
the original entry will be deleted.
The phone entry selected and then copied to the SIM card memory will be deleted only
when the phone numbers in such entry are moved in whole.

Select an entry from the phonebook list and confirm before making further operation.
How to use a SIM card entry
Place an IP call, send a text message, make modification, delete, make speed dialing, copy
to the phone memory, move to the phone memory, place a call, etc.
How to use a phone entry
Place an IP call, send a text message, make modification to name/number/type, delete, set
up default number, make speed dialing, display, copy to the SIM card memory, move to the
SIM card memory, place a call, etc.
2.6.4 Checking the phonebook capacity 容量查询
You may check the capacity of phonebooks in the SIM card and the phone respectively, to
find out:

2.6.5 Deleting all entries 全部删除
This feature allows a complete deletion of all entries either in SIM card memory or Phone
memory. The information thus deleted is unrecoverable, and your confirmation is required
before the deletion is made.
2.6.6 Copying all entries 全部复制
From SIM card memory to phone memory
You may copy entries in the SIM card memory to the phone memory one by one, provided the
phone memory is not fully engaged, until all entries are copied to the phone memory or the
phone memory is full.
When copied to the phone memory, the name and number in an entry will be copied to the
phone memory all together. And this number will become the default number in the name
card.
From phone memory to SIM card memory
You may copy entries in the phone memory to the SIM card memory one by one, provided the
SIM card memory is not full, until all entries are copied to the SIM card memory or the SIM
card memory is full.
A name card in the phone memory may contain three phone numbers at most. Copy an entry
in the phone memory to the SIM card memory will copy all these numbers to the SIM card
memory, each number comprising a new entry, all under a same name.
2.6.7 Moving all entries 全部移动
Similar to that of copying all entries, yet the original entries will be deleted.
For entries in the phone memory, only when all numbers in an entry have been moved to the
SIM card memory, will the original entry be deleted.
2.6.8 Group setting 分组设置
You may change the name/icon of each of the six groups.
2.6.9 Selecting memory location
存储位置选择
You may select the phone memory or the SIM card memory to store a new phone number.
2.6.10 IP number IP 特服号
You may preset an IP number so that you can dial IP calls directly without inputting the IP
