As it is our co nstant endeavour to devel op and improve our products, we reserve the right to make modifi cations, either of a technical nature or with respec t to features, materials, and design, at any time, and without prior notice. For this reason, no claims will be accepted for any slight deviations in your product from the data and illustrations contained in these instructions. These operating and assembly instructions are an integral part of the product. Non-observance of these operating in structions and the safe ty instructions they c ontain will render the gu aran­tee null and void. These instructions are to be kept for future reference and in the event that the pro duct is passed on to a th ird party.
Guarantee conditions
A Carrera product is built to high technical standards and is to be treated with care. Please ensure t hat you observe all the in structions cont ained in this guide. Al l compo­nents have been subjected to careful inspection (technical modifi cations and altera­tions to the mo del for the purpose of pr oduct improvement a re reserved).
Should any faults nevertheless occur, guarantee is assumed within the scope of the followi ng conditions:
The guarante e covers demonstrabl e material or manufactur ing defects that existe d at the time that th e Carrera product was purc hased. The guarantee per iod is 24 months beginning w ith the date of purchase. T he guarantee does not ex tend to wearing parts (such as Carrera RC rechargeable batteries, antennas, tyres, gearbox components etc.), damage caused by improper treatment or use, or unauthorised interference. Repa ir may o nly be p erfo rmed by Stadl bauer M arket ing + Ver trie b GmbH i tself or by a company it has authorised to do so. Within the scope of this guarantee, either the product as a whole or only the defective components will be replaced or equivalent substitution performed, as deemed appropriate by Stadlbauer Marketing + Vertrieb GmbH The guarantee does not cover transport, packaging or travel costs or any damage for which the buyer is responsible. These costs are to be covered by the buyer. Guarantee claims will only be accepted from the original purchaser of the Carrera product.
Guarante e claims can only be ac cepted when:
• The car d has been fi lled in properl y and sent in together wi th the defective Carrer product an d the purchase recei pt/invoice/cash -register receip t.
• No unau thorised alterati ons have been made by the buyer t o the guarantee card.
• The toy ha s been treated in accor dance with the oper ating instructio ns and subjected t o its intended use.
• The dam age/faulty oper ation is not due to acts of G od or normal wear and tea r.
Guarantee cards cannot be replaced.

A Carrera RC vehi cle is a remote­controlle d model car that uses special rechargeable batteries for this purpose. Only original Carrera RC Li-Ion rechargea ble batteries may be us ed. Rechargea ble batteries are to be removed from th e toy before being charged.
The Carrera RC ve hicle is designed fo r hobby use onl y and may only be oper­ated on tracks and in spaces especially intended for this purpose. CAUTION! Do not us e the Carrera RC vehicle in road traffi c .
Do not operate t he car beneath overhead high-voltage cables or broadcasting masts or during a storm! Atmospheric distur­bances can aff ect the operation o f the vehicle. Whe n there a large temper ature diff erences bet ween your car’s garage a nd the running tr ack, please wait until t he vehicle has h ad time to acclimatis e. This will help prevent condensation forming and the possibility of malfunctions resulting.
Never operate th e product on grass surfaces. T here is the risk of gras s hin­dering the mo vement of the axles, which can le ad to the motor overheat­ing. Do not use t he Carrera RC vehicle for transporting goods, persons or ani­mals.
Never use the Carre ra RC vehicle out­doors during rain or snowfall. The car must not b e run through water, puddles an d snow, and must always be kept stored in a dr y place. Wet surface s without pud dles will not aff ect the ca r’s performa nce as the electron ic equip­ment is protec ted against spray.
Never subject t he Carrera car to repea ­ted changes o f load - that means conti ­nuously rever sing it.

Always place the c ar on the fl oor by hand. Never thr ow the car on the fl oor from a standing position.
Avoid jumping f rom jumps or ramps high er than 15 cm (0.49 ft.).
Never use stron g solvents for cleaning the car.
To avoid malfunctio ns to the control system resulting in uncontrolled opera­tion of the Carr era RC vehicle, check that the cont roller batteries an d the rechargea ble batteries in the ve hicle have suffi c ient charge. Suppl y terminals are not to be shor t-circuited.

Never operate th e vehicle near rivers, ponds or lakes , to avoid the risk of the Carrera RC car fal ling into the water. Avoid running o n courses which are la id exclusively with sand.
Do not expose th e Carrera RC vehicle to direct sunlight. To avoid the electron ics in the car over­heating, whe n temperatures are above 35 °C, regular sh ort pauses in opera tion are essential.

The Carrera RC ve hicle must be inspecte d before and after oper ation, each time it is used , to ensu re that i t has not become d isassembled. Any s crews or nu ts that m ay have b ecome l oosen ed during operation must be tightened.

Charging the rechargeable battery Now you can drive the car

attery to th e battery charger s upplied. The connecti on terminals betwe en the battery and the charg er are designed to preven t connecti on with the wrong pol arity. Connect the charger t o a power source. When the bat tery is properly co nnected and charging no rmally, the red LED is const antly lit. Once th e battery is fully ch arged, the red LED switches to gr een.

The batter y can now be disconne cted and installed i n the Carrera RC car. The car is now rea dy for use. After use, the b attery must be allo wed to cool down for at least 2 0 minutes before it can b e fully recha rged. Failure to obser ve this pause may damag e the battery.
Using a screwdr iver, remove the cover of the battery c ompartment in the C arrera RC car.
Connect th e end of the cable from t he Carrera RC vehi cle with the charge d batter y. Put the batter y in place. Replace the c ompartment cover u sing a screwdriver.

The Carrera RC c ar and the remote control are b ound as a factory set ting.

1. Switch the car ON at th e ON/OFF switch. The LED o n top of the car will fl ash rhythmic ally.
2. Switch on th e controller. The LED on top of the contr oller will fl ash rhyth mi­cally.
After a few seco nds, the LEDs on the car and on the c ontroller will ligh t con­tinuously, mean ing the bind has been made.
Adjusting th e steering
If the Carrera RC ve hicle is found to pull towards the lef t or right while moving, use the adjus ter control shown in th e illustrati on to adjust the car’s trac k pre­cision.

Open the bat tery compartm ent with a screwdriver a nd insert the batte ries in the r emote c ontrol . Pleas e keep in mind the correc t polarity. Diff erent typ es of batter­ies or new and use d batteries are not to be mixed. After h aving closed the com partment you can check a ll functions of the re mote control wit h the help of the power-swit ch on the front. With the power-s witch turned ON and proper func tioning, the top ce nter LED on the remote c ontrol will light up re d.

Now it’s time to pr actise! Set up a Carrera RC vehi cle racing track in a large empt y area, using corner posts, empty can s, or similar objects . The basic technique t o adopt when operati ng a Carrera RC is to dr ive fast on the straigh t sect ions a nd to slo w down i n the cu rves.

Thanks to 2.4 GHz te chnology, up to 16 cars can be run to gether on one race-track. This is possible even without har monising frequen cies between the r acing drivers.
When changi ng from the fi rst battery t o the second batt ery, you must stop run-
ning for at lea st ten minutes. At the n ext change, a paus e of at least 20 minute s is absolutely essential.
Avoid constant motor operation.
If the car switches itself off several tim es one after anot her, the battery is d ead. Please recharge the battery.
After 30 min utes inactivit y, the controller and ve hicle switch off automatically. To restart, sw itch the ON/OFF sw itch on the controll er & the car to OFF and then back to ON.
To sw itc h off afte r use, follow the step s in the reverse orde r.
Afte r use, r emove o r disco nnect t he bat tery. Alway s recha rge th e batte ry immediate ly after use to preve nt its becoming de ep discharged.
• Al ways keep the recha rgeable batter y stored outsid e the vehicle.
Clean the Ca rrera RC car afte r use.

The joystick s are removable. Alternative ly, the vehicle can be c ontrolled with a rocker.
