2. Safety instructions
Intended purpose
The hair dryer is intended exclusively for drying and styling real human scalp hair.
The device is designed for private home use and must not be used for commercial purposes.
The device must only be used indoors.
Foreseeable misuse

Warnings in these instructions
If necessary, the following warnings will be used in these operat­ing instructions:
DANGER! High risk: Failure to observe this warning may result in injury to life and limb.
WARNING! Moderate risk: Failure to observe this warning may result in injury or serious material damage.
CAUTION: Low risk: Failure to observe this warning may result in minor injury or material damage.
NOTE: Circumstances and specics that must be observed when
handling the device.
DANGER for children
Children must not play with packaging material. Do
not allow children to play with plastic bags. Danger of suffocation!
The device can be used by children aged over 8 years and by
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with a lack of experience and/or knowledge. This applies only if they are supervised or if they have been instructed in the safe use of the device and have understood the associat­ed dangers. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by children unless they are supervised.
Keep the device and accessories out of children's reach.
DANGER of electric shock as a result of moisture
Do not use this device in the vicinity of bathtubs,
showers, washbasins or other vessels containing water.
Never put the device down in such a way that it could fall into
water while still connected.
Protect the device from moisture, dripping water or splash
water.
Never touch the device with wet hands.
The device, the cable and the mains plug must not fall into
water or other liquids.
If the device has fallen into water, pull out the mains plug im-
mediately, and only then remove the device from the water. Do not use the device again, but have it checked by a specialist.
Should liquid get into the device, pull out the mains plug im-
mediately. Have the device checked before operating it again.
If the device is used in a bathroom, the plug must be pulled
out after use, as the proximity of water represents a hazard, even when the device is switched off.
Installation of a residual current device (FI/RCD) with a rated
residual operating current of no more than 30 mA is recom­mended to provide additional protection. Ask your electrician for advice. The installation should only be carried out by a
qualied electrician.
DANGER of electric shock
Do not operate the device if the device or the cable
shows visible signs of damage or if the device has been dropped.
Only connect the mains plug to a properly installed socket,
which is easily accessible and supplies voltage matching the rating plate. The socket must still be easily accessible after connection.
Ensure that the cable cannot be damaged by sharp edges or
hot surfaces. Do not wrap the cable around the device (cable break danger!).
Make sure the cable is not trapped or crushed.
Always pull on the mains plug and never on the cable when
removing the device.
Remove the mains plug from the socket, ...
… after each use, … if a fault occurs, … when you are not using the device, … before cleaning the device and … during thunderstorms.
Never attempt to remove dust or foreign bodies from inside
the device using pointed objects (e.g. a tail comb).
To avoid any risk, do not make any changes to the device or
accessories. Do not replace the cable yourself either. Repairs should only be carried out by a specialist or our Service Cen-
tre. (→ 10. Guarantee)
DANGER - Fire hazard
Never leave the device unattended while plugged in.
Never cover the device or place it on soft objects
(e.g. bath towels).
Ensure that the air inlet and air outlet are always free. Keep
the air inlet free from long hair or objects that could get sucked into it.
This device has an overheating protection system. In the event
of overheating, e.g. if the air inlet or air outlet is covered, the device switches itself off automatically. If this occurs, set the on/off switch to 0 (off), pull out the mains plug from the mains socket, and allow the device to cool adequately. Before switch­ing it back on, ensure that there are no hairs or foreign bodies blocking the air inlet.
Do not switch on the device at the same time as another
device with high power consumption plugged in to the same multiple socket.
Do not use an extension cable.
DANGER of burns
Make sure to always have the handle folded out be-
fore switching on the device.
• Do not direct the hot air ow at eyes, hands or other parts of
the body that are sensitive to heat.
Do not touch the hot surface of the device.
Allow the device to cool down completely before you clean it
or put it away.
Allow the styling nozzle to cool down before removing it from
the device.
WARNING! Risk of injury
Place the cable in such a way that no one trips over it or steps
on it!
WARNING! Risk of material damage
Use the original accessories only.
Never place the device on hot surfaces (e.g. hob plates) or near heat sources or open re.
Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Do not expose the device to temperatures below -10 °C or above +40 °C.

3. Operation
DANGER!
Make sure to always have the handle folded out before switching on the device.
NOTE: Before using for the rst time, switch the device on for a few minutes and allow it to run at the highest setting.
As a result of the manufacturing process, a slight odour may be produced. This is not harmful and only occurs during initial use. Ensure that the room has good ventilation.
Switching on/off and controlling air ow
1. Insert the mains plug into an easily accessible socket.
2. The on/off switch and switch for the power settings allows you
to switch the device on and select the desired power setting:
0 = off 1 = slow air ow, lower temperature 2 = fast air ow, higher temperature
3. After drying, set the on/off switch to 0 (off) and pull out the mains plug.
Styling nozzle
The styling nozzle makes it possible to target the air ow at spe­cic sections of hair.
Attach the styling nozzle to the front of the hair dryer so that it
clicks into place.
The styling nozzle can be rotated into any desired position.
You can remove the cooled styling nozzle from the hair dryer,
e.g. for cleaning.
4. Cleaning
DANGER!
Before cleaning, pull out the mains plug and allow the device to cool down.
WARNING! Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
Clean the device regularly. Be particularly sure to check that the
air inlet and air outlet are free from dust, hairs and uff.
Wipe down the casing, the rear safety mesh over the air inlet
and the styling nozzle with a slightly damp cloth.
Clean front safety mesh
Remove the styling nozzle from the hair
dryer. Hold the hair dryer with the air outlet facing downwards. Clean the front safety mesh with a brush.
Clean rear safety mesh
1. Rotate the rear safety mesh anti-clockwise
until you can remove it.
2. Hold the hair dryer with the air inlet facing
downwards. Clean the inside and outside safety mesh with a brush.
5. Storage
DANGER!
Do not wrap the cable around the device (cable break danger!).
You can use the hanging loop in order to store the device in a
safe and practical manner.
For space-saving storage of the device you
can fold in the handle.
6. Troubleshooting
DANGER!
Do not attempt to repair the device yourself.
Always remove the mains plug from the socket when-
ever a fault occurs.
Fault: Please check the following:
No function Is the power supply secured?
Has the overheating protection switched off
the device? Set the on/off switch to 0 (off), pull out the plug from the mains socket, and allow the device to cool adequately. Before switching it back on, ensure that there are no hairs or foreign bodies blocking the air inlet.

9. Disposal
This symbol indicates that the product must be disposed of in a separate waste collection within the European Union. This applies to the product and all accessories marked with this symbol. Products marked as such may not be discarded with normal domestic waste, but must be taken to a collection point for recycling electrical and electronic devices.
Packaging
If you want to dispose of the packaging, make sure you comply with the environmental regulations applicable in your country.
10. Guarantee
Under our terms of warranty, we guarantee that our technical ap­pliances will provide faultless quality and function. The guarantee period is 36 months from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase. The trader‘s legal guarantee obligation is not limited by this guarantee.
INFORMATION ON THE GUARANTEE:
Please note that incorrect or improper handling of the device, failure to comply with the safety precautions that apply to the device, use of force or alterations or repairs that are carried out by a party other than the service address that we have author­ized void the guarantee.
Furthermore, components that are subject to normal wear
and tear or use are excluded from the guarantee.
During the guarantee period, you can send defective appliances to the Service Center (see address below), postage paid. Then you will receive a new appliance or get the repaired one back free of charge. Parcels not prepaid cannot be accepted.
Please use the original packaging in order to avoid any damages in transit and enclose a copy of the receipt. A detailed description of the complaint will help reduce repair time.
After expiry of the guarantee period, you can still send a defec­tive appliance to the address below, also postage paid. Then, however, repairs made will be at your expense.

3. At the inner edge of the removed safety mesh, you will see two small round knobs. Place the safety mesh with these two knobs into the recesses at the sides of the hair dryer. Rotate
the safety mesh clockwise until it is rmly in place.
