Caroline Icarus User Manual

It IS better to burn out! Before Neil Young or Def Leppard taught you this, Icarus lived it. The original rock star with daddy issues, he understood how important it is to stand out from the mix. So step on this and make sure you burn out bright. Made in the USA – Amber Waves of GAIN!
SAMPLE SETTINGS — FLAVOR TO TASTE
musical/personal agenda
Our “wings” are made of sturdier stuff than feathers and paraffin. Start at 8:00 for earthbound unity gain, then take flight as you turn it up. The first half of the control is more subtle than the second.
Most boosters brighten your tone by lowering your output impedance and negating the capacitance of your cables. Our “sun” control allows you to dial back some of that warmth, or to thicken your tone for a different effect.
We would like to use this formerly blank space as a memorial to the simplicity of the Icarus. Some pedals allow you to control every aspect
of the circuit like youʼre Captain Kirk. Is this bad? No. If youʼre into that kind of thing, more power to you. That being said, thereʼs a certain beauty that lies within plug-and-play. If youʼre the kind of
player who turns the amp knobs to 11, you know what that is. So stop reading this insert, grab whichever guitar makes you feel like setting a field on fire, plug in your new Icarus, and start making music.
IMPORTANT! If you use a power supply, use 9-18 volts DC, negative tip only. Most effector industry standard units work fine. Do NOT use any AC power into the Icarus. Warranty does not include abuse or misuse of the product. Thanks again for purchasing the Icarus™!
