Experiment 3: Besides water and light, do plants need
anything else to grow?
Or do you have other ideas?
Figure it out
like this:
paper
towel
plastic
bag
2x
Answer:
Water and light alone are not enough. Plants need carbon dioxide, a gas
that people and animals exhale. The plants inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen. This is how we get enough oxygen and the plants enough carbon dioxide. The bag will suffocate the plants.

Experiment 4: Why do plants sweat?
Figure it out
like this:
plastic
bag
Or do you have other ideas?
Answer:
Plants absorb water with their roots. Extra water is
released again as water vapor through tiny openings in the underside of their leaves. The reason
plants sweat is not because they run too fast!
