Hartelijk dank voor uw aankoop van de Carmen Volume 1600.
Lees deze instructies zorgvuldig door voordat u het apparaat gaat
gebruiken en bewaar deze om later na te kunnen slaan.

apparaat. Lees en bewaar de gebruiksaanwijzing en geef deze
mee aan de volgende eigenaar. Alle veiligheidsadviezen zijn ook
in uw eigen belang.

›› Veiligheidsinstructies

• Laat de beschadigde voedingskabel door een erkend assistentie­centrum van de fabrikant vervangen, teneinde gevaarlijke
situaties te vermijden! Neem contact op met de fabrikant of de
klantendienst.

• Dit apparaat voldoet aan de erkende regels voor technologie en
de van toepassing zijnde veiligheidsvoorschriften voor elektrische
apparaten!

• De spanning van de stroombron (V) moet overeenkomen met de
op het typeplaatje aangegeven waarde!

• Trek het snoer niet over scherpe randen, klem het vast op zijn
plaats of laat het los hangen! Houd het snoer uit de buurt van
hete en vochtige ruimtes!

• Controleer voor gebruik of het apparaat juist functioneert!

Het apparaat mag niet worden gebruikt als:

- het snoer beschadigd is

- het apparaat zichtbare beschadiging vertoont

- het apparaat gevallen is

• Wikkel het snoer nooit om het apparaat heen!

• Steek de stekker alleen in het stopcontact wanneer het apparaat
is uitgeschakeld!

• Reparaties mogen uitsluitend door een deskundige worden
uitgevoerd. Als gevolg van ondeskundige reparaties kunnen er
ernstige gevaren ontstaan!

• Als elektrische apparaten niet juist worden gebruikt, bestaat er
altijd letselgevaar!

• Berg het apparaat op een veilige plaats op, om te voorkomen
dat het per vergissing verkeerd wordt gebruikt.

Waarschuwing! Gevaar voor elektrische schok

• Gebruik het apparaat nooit met natte handen, in bad of douche
of boven een gevulde wasbak. Als het apparaat in het water
valt, haal dan onmiddellijk de stekker uit het stopcontact. Reik in
geen geval in het water terwijl het apparaat nog is aangesloten
op de voedingsbron!

Waarschuwing! Gevaar voor elektrische schok
Veiligheidsinstructies voor het gebruiken van het
apparaat

• Gebruik het apparaat altijd voor het daarvoor bestemde doel!

• Dit apparaat is er niet voor bestemd om door personen (met
inbegrip van kinderen) met beperkte fysieke, zintuigelijke of
geestelijke vermogens of gebrek aan ervaring en/of gebrek aan
kennis te worden gebruikt, tenzij er toezicht wordt gehouden
door een persoon die voor hun veiligheid verantwoordelijk is
of zij van die persoon aanwijzingen hebben gekregen hoe het
apparaat gebruikt dient te worden.

• Kinderen zijn zich niet bewust van de gevaren van elektrische
apparaten. Streng toezicht is daarom noodzakelijk wanneer het
apparaat door kinderen wordt gebruikt!

• Houd verpakkingsmateriaal, bijv. plastic zakken, buiten bereik
van kinderen!

• Haal de stekker na gebruik uit het stopcontact wanneer het
apparaat in een badkamer wordt gebruikt. De nabijheid van
water betekent namelijk een gevaar, zelfs als het apparaat is
uitgeschakeld!

• Leg het apparaat tijdens gebruik nooit op zachte kussens of
lakens!

• Plaats het apparaat of het snoer niet op hete oppervlakken,
zoals een kookplaat en dergelijke of in de nabijheid van open
vlammen!

• Om beschadigingen van het haar te voorkomen, moet u nooit de
opening waar de lucht uitstroomt, te dicht bij het haar houden!

• Tijdens het gebruik de luchtaanzuiging en uitstroomopening niet
afdekken!

• Apparaat gedurende langere onderbreking van het drogen
uitschakelen!

• Het apparaat is uitgerust met een oververhittingsbeveiliging.

• De installatie van een spanningsbeveiliger met nominale
uitschakelstroom biedt u extra veiligheid door ervoor te zorgen
dat de stroomsterkte in uw woning niet hoger wordt dan 30 mA.

• Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact:

- als het apparaat niet juist functioneert

- voor reiniging

- na elk gebruik

• Trek niet aan het snoer en draag het apparaat niet met behulp
van het snoer!

Veiligheidsinstructies voor schoonmaken en onderhoud

• Haal altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat het apparaat
afkoelen alvorens het te reinigen of te repareren of wanneer
er tijdens het gebruik een storing optreedt!

• Gebruik het snoer niet om de stekker uit het stopcontact te
trekken en haal de stekker niet met natte handen uit het
stopcontact!

• Het apparaat niet in water onderdompelen en niet met water in
aanraking laten komen bij het schoonmaken.

Waarschuwing! Gevaar voor elektrische schok

• Bescherm het apparaat tegen vocht. Doe het apparaat nooit in
de vaatwasmachine. Dompel het apparaat nooit onder in water!

›› Gebruik›in›overeenstemming›met›doel

Het apparaat is alleen bedoeld voor het drogen en stylen van
menselijk haar.

Voor schade die veroorzaakt wordt door het gebruik van het
apparaat voor andere doeleinden, verkeerde bediening of repara­ties uitgevoerd door een amateur, wordt geen aansprakelijkheid
aanvaard. De garantieservice is in zulke gevallen niet geldig.

Het apparaat is niet bedoeld voor professionele doeleinden!

›› Gebruiksaanwijzing

Het haar voorbereiden

• Was uw haar en droog het zorgvuldig.

• Kam uw haar zorgvuldig. Gebruik geen hairspray of andere
ontvlambare chemische haarproducten.

Haar föhnen

Uw apparaat is uitgerust met een “cool shot” knop. Voor gerichte
styling van het haar zet u de blaasmond op de lucht uitlaatopening.

De blaasmond kan eenvoudig op de lucht uitlaatopening van de
haardroger geplaatst worden.

Diffuser

De haardroger heeft de volgende opties:

• Luchtsnelheden
0: uit
1: milde luchtstroom
2: sterke luchtstroom

• Temperatuurstanden
1: koele lucht
2: matige temperatuur
3: hoge temperatuur

Cool-knop

Met de “cool”-knop kunt u met een ingeschakeld apparaat de
luchttemperatuur verlagen.

Diffuser voor volume, om het haar te stylen en in model te
brengen. De diffuser kan eenvoudig op de lucht uitlaatopening
van de haardroger geplaatst worden.

Het haar, in het bijzonder fijn en steil haar, krijgt door de styling
bij de haaraanzet een optimaal volume.

• Droog het haar vooraf goed af met een handdoek.

• Haal de blaasmond van de haardroger af en plaats de diffuser op
de lucht uitlaatopening.

• Plaats de diffuser direct op de hoofdhuid en beweeg de diffuser
met een kwartslag zodat het haar rond de ‘diffuser vingers’ ligt.

• Schakel het apparaat in en droog het haar bij voorkeur met een
haarvriendelijke temperatuur. Belangrijk: gebruik de diffuser
alleen bij temperatuursniveau 1-2.

• Beweeg de diffuser op het haardeel langzaam heen en weer.

Blaasmond

Blaasmond om het haar te stylen en in model te brengen.
Door de blaasmond wordt de luchtstroom geconcentreerd en
kunnen doelgericht bepaalde haarpartijen gedroogd worden.

Tijdens het drogen van het haar met de diffuser wordt er volume
vanaf de haaraanzet gecreëerd. Zodra het eerste haardeel droog is,
kunt u de andere haardelen met de diffuser behandelen.

›› Reiniging›en›onderhoud

• Het apparaat tegen stof, vuil en pluizen beschermen. Van tijd
tot tijd het lucht inlaatrooster eruit halen en reinigen. Voor het
inzetten moeten alle elementen droog zijn. Lucht inlaatrooster er
tot de aanslag weer inschuiven.

• Voor het reinigen altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact halen.

• Het apparaat nooit in water dompelen.

• Apparaatbescherming! Nooit scherpe of schurende reinigings­middelen gebruiken.

• Het apparaat alleen met een licht vochtige doek afnemen en
met een zachte doek afdrogen.

misbruik, gevolgen van aan het product aangebrachte wijzigingen

Indien het apparaat gerepareerd moet worden, moet er contact
opgenomen worden met de gespecialiseerde dealer.

Gooi uw apparaat nooit weg in de vuilnis. Raadpleeg de geldende
gemeentelijke regels of breng het terug naar de handelaar. Bewaar
uw aankoopbon als garantiebewijs.

›› Milieu›en›verwijdering›

Gooi uw apparaat nooit samen met het gewone huishoudelijke
afval weg. Volg de afvalvoorschriften van uw gemeente op of
breng uw apparaat terug naar de detailhandelaar.

Carmen streeft ernaar om de kwaliteit en het design continu te
verbeteren. Daarom behoudt Carmen het recht specificaties van
haar producten te wijzigen.

›› Garantie

De garantietermijn bedraagt 2 jaar, losse onderdelen uitgezonderd.
De garantietermijn loopt vanaf de datum van aankoop. Als van de
garantieregeling gebruik wordt gemaakt, wordt de garantietermijn
daardoor niet verlengd. De garantie geldt voor fabricagefouten en
materiaalfouten van de originele onderdelen. Deze garantie geldt

›› Consigne›de›sécurité

• En cas d’endommagement du cordon d’alimentation, le faire
impérativement remplacer par un centre de réparation agréé par
le fabricant afin de prévenir tout danger! Veuillez-vous adresser
au fabricant ou à son service clientèle.

• Cet appareil répond aux règles reconnues de la technique et aux
prescriptions de sécurité appropriées aux appareils électriques!

• La tension de la source de courant doit correspondre aux
indications de la plaque signalétique!

• L’appareil ne doit être branché que sur une prise de protection
avec courant alternatif. Ne pas tirer le cordon sur des arêtes
pointues, ne pas le coincer ou le laisser pendre. Protéger le
cordon contre la chaleur et l’humidité!

• Avant chaque utilisation, vérifier que l’appareil est en parfait
état, ne pas le mettre en service, si:

- le cordon est endommagé;

- l’appareil présente des dommages visibles;

- l’appareil est tombé par terre.

• Ne jamais enrouler le cordon d’alimentation autour de l’appareil!

• Ne brancher la fiche dans la prise de courant que lorsque
l’appareil est éteint!

• Seuls des spécialistes sont autorisés à effectuer les réparations.
Des mauvaises réparations peuvent être source de dangers
considérables!

• Les risques de blessures sont très importants si les équipements
électriques ne sont pas utilisés convenablement!

• Afin d’éviter toute mauvaise utilisation inopinée, ranger cet
appareil dans un endroit sûr.

Attention! Risque d’électrocution

• Ne jamais utiliser l’appareil avec les mains mouillées, dans une
baignoire, sous la douche ou au-dessus d’un lavabo rempli d’eau.
Cependant, si l’appareil tombe dans l’eau, débrancher immédia­tement la fiche. Ne mettre en aucun cas les mains dans l’eau si
l’appareil est encore branché!

après usage car la proximité de l’eau peut présenter un danger

• Ne jamais poser l’appareil en marche sur des coussins ou
couvertures à texture molle!

• Ne pas poser l’appareil ou le cordon sur des surfaces chaudes
(cf: cuisinière ou appareils similaires) ni à proximité de flammes!

• Afin d’éviter d’abîmer les cheveux, ne jamais tenir la grille de
sortie d’air trop proche des cheveux!

• Ne pas recouvrir les ouvertures d’aspiration et de sortie d’air
pendant que l’appareil est en fonctionnement!

• Débranchez l’appareil si vous interrompez le séchage pendant un
temps assez long!

• L’appareil est équipé d’une protection anti-surchauffe, qui met
l’appareil hors tension en cas de surcharge.

dans votre habitation d’un dispositif de sécurité qui coupe le

›› Utilisation›conforme›aux›prescriptions

L’appareil est conçu exclusivement pour sécher et coiffer les
cheveux humains.

Encas d’autre emploi, d’utilisation incorrecte ou de réparation
non appropriée, la responsabilité ne sera pas assumée pour les
dommages éventuels. Les prestations de garantie sont également
exclues dans de tels cas.

L’appareil n’est pas destiné à l’utilisation commerciale!

Consignes de sécurité pour le nettoyage et l’entretien

• En cas de défauts de fonctionnement et pour le nettoyage et
l’entretien, débrancher et laisser refroidir l’appareil!

• Ne jamais retirer la fiche de la prise électrique en tirant sur le
cordon ou avec les mains mouillées!

• Ne pas plonger l’appareil dans l’eau et ne pas le mettre en
contact avec de l’eau lors de son nettoyage.

Préparation des cheveux

• Lavez-vous les cheveux et essuyez-les bien avec une serviette.

• Démêlez soigneusement vos cheveux, n’utilisez pas de laque ou
autres produits de soin capillaire chimiques qui sont facilement
inflammables.

Pour se sécher les cheveux

Votre appareil est équipé de 2 interrupteurs basculant proposant
une fonction “cool shot” diffuseur. Pour la mise en marche et la
régulation du débit d’air, actionnez l’interrupteur.

Votre sécher les cheveux offre les options suivantes:

• Réglages de débit d’air
0: off (désactivé)
1: léger courant d’air
2: courant d’air fort

• Niveau de température
1: air froid
2: température modérée
3: haute température

Touche Cool

La touche air froid “cool” vous permet de réduire la température
de l’air lorsque l’appareil est en marche.

Concentrateur d’air

Concentrateur d’air pour effets de style et mise en forme.
Le concentrateur d’air concentre l’air de manière ciblée sur
certaines parties de la chevelure. Le concentrateur d’air est tout
simplement fixé sur la sortie d’air du sèche-cheveux.

Diffuseur

Diffuser pour volume et effets de style et mise en forme.
Le diffuser est tout simplement fixé sur la sortie d’air du
sèche-cheveux.

Vous donnerez un maximum de volume et de tenue à vos
cheveux, en particulier si ces derniers sont raides et fins, en
appliquant le diffuseur directement à la racine.

• En premier lieu, bien sécher vos cheveux à l’aide d’une serviette.

• Retirer l’embout concentrateur et fixer le diffuseur sur l’appareil.

• Placer le diffuseur sur le cuir chevelu et le tourner d’un quart de
tour de façon à ce que les cheveux viennent s’enrouler autour
des picots du diffuseur.

• Mettre le sèche-cheveux en marche en utilisant de préférence un
flux d’air moyen. Importance: utilisez le diffuseur au niveau 1-2
de température seulement.

• Effectuer de lents mouvements circulaires en maintenant le
diffuseur au niveau de la mèche choisie.

Ainsi, vous donnerez du volume à la chevelure au niveau de la
racine grâce au séchage.

›› Nettoyage›et›entretien

• Conserver l’appareil à l’abri de la poussière, des saletés et des
peluches. De temps en temps, il faut retirer la grille d’admission
d’air et la nettoyer. Avant la remise en place, il faut que tous les
éléments soient secs. Réinsérez la grille d’admission d’air jusqu’à
la butée.

• Veillez à toujours débrancher l’appareil pour le nettoyer.

• Ne jamais le plonger dans l’eau.

• Protection de l’appareil! Ne pas utiliser de détergents agressifs
ou abrasifs.

• Essuyer l’appareil avec un chiffon légèrement humide et le
sécher à l’aide d’un chiffon doux et sec.

›› Environnement›et›rejet

Ne jetez jamais votre appareil avec les déchets ménagers classiques.
Suivez les réglementations en matière de mise au rebut de
déchets de votre localité ou retournez votre appareil au revendeur.

• Bei Beschädigung des Netzkabels darf dieses nur durch eine
vom Hersteller benannte Reparaturwerkstatt ersetzt werden, um
eine Gefährdung zu vermeiden! Bitte wenden Sie sich an den
Hersteller oder seinen Kundendienst.

• Dieses Gerät entspricht den anerkannten Regeln der Technik und
den einschlägigen Sicherheitsbestimmungen für Elektrogeräte!

• Die Netzspannung muss mit der Spannungsangabe (V) auf dem
Gerät über einstimmen!

• Das Gerät nur an Wechselstrom, an eine Schutzkontaktsteckdose
anschließen. Netzkabel dabei nicht über scharfe Kanten ziehen,
einklemmen oder herunterhängen lassen. Netzkabel vor Hitze

o.ä. stellen bzw. legen und nicht in direkte Nähe von offenen
Flammen bringen!

Vorbereitung der Haare

• Waschen Sie Ihr Haar und trocknen Sie es gut ab.

• Kämmen Sie Ihr Haar gründlich durch, benutzen Sie kein
Haarspray oder andere chemische Haarpflegeprodukte die leicht
entflammbar sind.

• Das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit schützen! Niemals in die

Ihr Gerät ist mit einem Druck-/Schieberegler „Cool“-Taste
ausgestattet. Zum Einschalten und zur Regulierung der Luftmenge
betätigen Sie den Schalter.

Cool-Taste

Mit der “Cool”-Taste können Sie bei eingeschaltetem Gerät die
Lufttemperatur absenken.

Ondulier düse

Ondulier düse zum Stylen und Formen. Die Ondulier düse
konzentriert den Luftstrom zum gezielten Trocknen bestimmter
Haarpartien. Die Ondulier düse wird einfach auf die
Luftaustrittsöffnung des Haartrockners aufgesteckt.

Diffuser

Diffuser für Volume, zum Stylen und Formen. Die Diffuser wird
einfach auf die Luftaustrittsöffnung des Haartrockners aufgesteckt.

Durch perfektes Styling am Haaransatz erhält insbesondere glattes
und feines Haar optimales Volumen und Stand.

• Trocknen Sie Ihr Haar mit einem Handtuch gut vor.

• Ziehen Sie die Ondulier düse vom Gerät ab und stecken Sie den
Diffuser auf das Gerät.

• Setzen Sie den Diffuser direkt auf die Kopfhaut und bewegen
ihn mit ca. einer Vierteldrehung, so dass sich die Haare um die
Diffuser-Finger legen.

• Schalten Sie das Gerät ein. Arbeiten Sie vorzugsweise mit der
mittleren Leistung.

• Lassen Sie den Diffuser langsam auf der Stelle hin und her
kreisen.

Während des Trocknens baut sich somit Volumen am Haaransatz
auf. Sobald die Haarpartie trocken ist, wiederholen Sie das gleiche
mit der nächsten Haarpartie.

›› Reinigung›und›Wartung

• Das Gerät vor Staub, Schmutz und Fusseln schützen. Von Zeit zu
Zeit das Lufteinlassgitter herausnehmen und reinigen. Vor dem
Einsetzen müssen alle Elemente trocken sein. Lufteinlassgitter bis
zum Anschlag wieder einschieben.

• Vor dem Reinigen stets den Netzstecker ziehen.

• Das Gerät nie in Wasser tauchen.

• Geräteschutz! Keine scharfen oder scheuernden Putzmittel
verwenden.

• Das Gerät nur mit einem leicht feuchten Tuch abwischen und mit
einem weichen Tuch nachtrocknen.

Entsorgen Sie das Gerät nicht mit dem normalen Hausmüll.
Beachten Sie die Entsorgungsvorschriften an Ihrem Wohnort oder

Safety instructions for cleaning and maintenance

Preparing the hair

• Wash your hair and dry it well.

• Comb your hair thoroughly. Do not use hairspray or other
flammable chemical hair care products.

Drying hair

Your appliance has a cool shot button. For precision hair styling fit
concentrator nozzle onto the air outlet opening.

The hair dryer has the following setting options:

• Blow setting

0: off
1: mild air current
2: strong air current

• Heat setting

1: low heat
2: mid heat
3: high heat

Cool shot push button

With the cool shot push button you can lower the air temperature
while the appliance is switched on.

Precision nozzle

Precision nozzle for styling and shaping. The precision nozzle
concentrates the airflow enabling targeted drying of specific
sections of hair. The precision nozzle is easily attached to the
airflow outlet of the hairdryer.

• Switch on the appliance and work preferably with the gentle air
stream (mean power).

• Allow the diffuser to revolve slowly to and from one spot.

In this way, volume builds up from the roots of the hair during
the drying process. As soon as the first section of the hair is dry,
continue in the same way with other parts of the hair until all has
been treated.

›› Cleaning›and›maintenance

Diffuser

The diffuser for volume, styling and shaping. The diffuser is easily
attached to the airflow outlet of the hairdryer.

The hair, particularly hair which is straight and fine, will acquire
an optimum volume and set by means of perfect styling down at
the roots.

• The hair should be dried well with a towel beforehand.

• Pull the precision nozzle off the hair dryer and push on the
diffuser in its place.

• Now place the diffuser directly on the scalp and move it with a
quarter turn, so that the hairs lie round the diffuser fingers.

• Protect the appliance from dust, dirt and fluff. From time to time
remove and clean the air inlet grille. All elements must be dry
before being inserted. Insert the air inlet grille until it stops.

• Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the mains.

• Never immerse the appliance in water.

• Protect your appliance! Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning
agent.

• You can clean your appliance with a slightly damp cloth and dry
it with a soft dry cloth.
