FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION:
1) Position and nail in place a wooden 2”x4” centered above the desired ceiling fan location. The
bottom edge of the 2”x4” should be positioned 1-3/4” up from the bottom edge of the adjacent
ceiling joists, see Fig. 1.
2) Position the ceiling fan box, at the desired location, on the bottom edge of the 2”x4” so that the
four mounting screw holes are in-line with the centerline of the 2”x4”.
3) Screw two #8x1” screws (supplied) through the two holes in the top wall of the ceiling fan
box and into the 2”x4”. Tighten the screws snugly.
AFTER THE CEILING DRYWALL INSTALLATION IS COMPLETED:
4) Mount the ceiling fan mounting plate to the bottom of the ceiling fan box, using the
two #8 x 3-1/2” screws (supplied), See Fig 2. Screws supplied must be used.
The screws pass through the ceiling fan mounting plate, through the
clearance holes on either side of the ceiling fan box, and into the wood
2”x4”. Tighten the screws snugly.

Instrucciones:
Se debe usar la herramienta suministrada.
PARA CONSTRUCCIONES NUEVAS:
1) Posicione y clave en su lugar una 2" x 4" de madera, centrada sobre la ubicación deseada del
ventilador. El borde inferior de la 2" x 4" se debe colocar 1-3/4" arriba del borde inferior de las vigas del
techo adyacentes, vea la g. 1.
2) Coloque la caja de conexiones del ventilador de techo en el lugar deseado, en el borde inferior de la
2" x 4", de manera que los cuatro oricios de los tornillos de montaje queden alineados con la línea
de centros de la 2" x 4".
3) Atornille dos tornillos #8 x 1" (suministrados) a través de los dos agujeros en la pared superior
de la caja de conexiones del ventilador de techo y en la 2" x 4". Apriete los tornillos rmemente.
DESPUÉS DE COMPLETAR LA INSTALACIÓN DEL PANEL DE YESO:
4) Monte la placa de montaje del ventilador de techo en la parte inferior de la caja de
conexiones del ventilador de techo, utilizando los dos tornillos #8 x 3-1/2"
