MUD BOX INSTALLATION
1. Important: Base ring must be mounted to the
surface with "Top" portion of base ring facing
upward so box cover can snap into base ring.
Note: "Top" of base ring marked "Top" (Figure 1).
2. Use (4) 4D nails to attach the base ring to
mounting surface. Use the four (4) holes located
on the perimeter of the base ring (Figure 1).
3. Knockout locaters must be used when removing
knockouts. Place screw driver blade above
locater bar and below tab. Strike the screw driver
handle with a swift blow with sidecutters or
hammer to remove knockout (Figure 2).
4. Orient mud box cover as desired on 45° axis
(Figure 3).
5. Insert mud box cover tabs into base ring
mounting ange clips. Press down until mud box
tabs engage into base ring clips for a ush t
(Figure 4).
Note: Once the cover is mounted on to base
ring it will not come apart.
